Angela's POV

I awoke in the night,it seeming like it was around sunrise.It was still,far too early for any normal human being to be up and running around the village.I groaned as I got up and out of my way to comfortable bed.Glancing in the mirror,fixing my hair that I had cut mere hours ago with some shears that Cadenza had let me borrow.My hair was shorter,it being longer in the front and shorter in the back.I had also somehow managed to fix my bangs to where they covered up the healing cuts on my face.Streching as I slipped on my shoes and picking up the saphire blade that laid on the end of my  bed.

Garroth must have dropped it off.Armor laid on a table as well,it being made of diamonds.I left the amor laying there,though I carried a torch and the sword with me as I left the house.I walked down the path,running towards the figures that were Laurance,Garroth,Dante,and Lady Aphmau.I moved to Laurance's side.He shot a confused look at me before he looked back at ahead of him.A female laid on the road,in a blood red set of amor.My eyes scanned over her before she stood up,wincing.She seemed to have had a rough arrival from.......the nether.Her amor was now familar to me.

She was a shadow knight.A shadow knight was here in Pheonix Drop.I may have just arrived,but I already cared too much bout the people here.I had yet to meet most of them and I had planned to meet them in the morning,though with this shadow knight here,my plans would be cancelled.More than likely Garroth and the others would have to guard her in a cell and then one of them would begin to train me.If she was a threat,they would be worried that more would be coming and would assume that we needed more guards to protect the village.

I would be placed in the guard in the matter of weeks if that was the case.However,it didn't bother me.The sooner I was able to protect both Lady Aphmau and the innocent,the better.Laurance then spoke out,breaking my train of long,deep thoughts."A shadow knight.From the nether."He muttered,despite the fact everyone here seemed to know what she was.The weak girl then stumbled forward and I robotically moved forward,holding my blade up straight.I stood between the girl and Lady Aphmau.I could feel the nervousness rolling in waves behind me.Laurance had reached out to take me by my shoulder and pull me back,but I shot him a deadly look before he could do so.

I couldn't screw this up.I had to impress them otherwise I would never hear the end of it.I would be considered a burden until I managed to prove myself in Irene knows how long.The girl winced,breathing hard as she pointed the red blade she held towards me,stepping closer and closer,or rather I took two or three steps closer to her,while she did the same.She struck my blade and I struck my blade back at her's.The red blade fell out of her grasp and  a few feet away from her.

She fell at my feet,out of exhaustion it seemed like.Though I didn't do much,I thought that I had impressed the once nervous group of people behind me.
