She's going down and down, yet you're pushing her further.
You pushing her down and you know that you hurt her.
But that doesn't matter to you and your glorified ego.
She's crumbling at her own accord yet you keep pressing the issue.
She's not made of steel and most certainly can bend.
But once a girl snaps, it's truly hard to amend.
You can try to find all pieces but can surely will not succeed.
This girl was never whole, she was only meant to bleed.
She lost herself too many years ago
You could never see the pain, but it was there for sure.
She dug the hole she was tossed in and only made it deeper
And yet you had the nerve to let her think she was a keeper
The difference in this situation is that she's just a simple sweet girl.
But she got torn to pieces and tossed out by the ways of the world.
She was good enough to keep-yeah you made her believe that.
Where that's certainly true, you didn't stay true on the act.
You gave her the one thing in the world that can make anyone feel as respected as the Pope.
You're the one that gave the girl her wings to tear them back-you're the one that gave her hope.
