Corey Cabrera is a 16-year-old boy who enjoys photography, bike riding and music. He is considerate and Brave, but can also be very standoffish and a bit violent. He is American. He is currently at school. He has a severe phobia of dogs. Physically, Corey is in good shape. He is tall with light skin, golden hair and brown eyes. He has a birthmark on his forehead. He lives in a middle class neighborhood. His father walked out 15 years ago, leaving his mother, a carpenter Marian, to look after him.  Corey goes to Middle Park High School, where his favorite subjects are P.E. and biology. He loves his teacher Mr. Gutierrez but hates Mrs. Edwards whose interests include speaking in a really annoying voice. 

     One Saturday morning, Corey went out for a bike ride in the nearby forest along with a few of his friends. They followed a 3 mile path that lead out into a remote part of the forest, where they set up dirt ramps back when they were in Middle School, no matter how broken down the ramps were, the teenagers would never abandon the ramps they made so long ago. They took turns racing around the ramp covered track, only taking breaks if they needed water, which they never felt like they did. When Corey joined in on the race, it went well for the first 4 laps, he was in second place most, if not the entire time, until he reached the last ramp of the course. a rock was sticking out of the dirt hill they made, which made Corey's wheel slide against it. as he leaned to the opposite side to regain balance, but failed. the rock came out along with a bit of the dirt and he fell off his bike. The last thing Corey remembered was his heart rise to his throat and the eternity it felt like as he fell to the ground, before everything went black without a pinch of a nerve
