Intermission 1

Days pass, and Corey is still in the camp helping out the other's, the vultures resumed to stalk the camp, as if they were some sort of spy on a secret mission. Corey slowly got acquainted with Casper.

The girls book had a makeshift strap and a lock on it that kept it from being opened by anyone other than herself, and she refused to leave it anywhere for anyone to take it away from her. she kept the key for the book with her, as well. It seemed that she became less trustworthy by the day, she sat by the campfire and gazed up at the nine towers in the distance, and sometimes, she would sneak out of her tent at night to look at the lights emitting from the ominous towers, and those odd, glowing, headstone shaped lights in the distance, Corey sometimes joining her.

The camp was too scared to let her go hunting for food or resources, worrying she'd run off back to the city of Dema and be stuck there forever. Corey was sent out of the camp to collect the most, and one time, Casper snuck out of the camp to follow Corey, she was tired of being stuck in camp boundaries, and she used that excuse the most to get closer to Dema, and those hypnotizing neon blue lights just outside the city.
