Chapter 5; Chlorine

As they walked into the barren landscape, a sparse amount of flowers were scattered on the ground. The two purposefully avoided any red flowers, as it was seen as bad luck to any of the escapee's. The vultures were still watching, scattered in the trees like security cameras at the mall; However, Corey learned to ignore them, how could birds give information about the two?

The nine towers loomed over them, casting a large shadow, and due to that, the blue glowing gravestone-like shapes that were once faint were now glowing brightly. Casper had her book open, sitting on a rock and reading, taking small glances up at the gravestones. She had her book grasped tightly in her hands as she swayed her legs back and forth; Corey, on the other hand, was still searching, but couldn't go too far away from Casper, as that would count as abandonment. He let out an almost irritated sigh as he walked around a small radius looking for anything he could find.

Corey flinched when on the ground, he saw a skeleton-like hand surrounded by yellow flowers, with its fingers tightly grasping a small vial, wrapped with yellow tape. Out of Curiosity, Corey pulled the vial out of the fingers, and it was labeled 'Chlorine'. He shoved it in his pocket, along with a freshly picked flower off the ground, but not without showing Casper first. Casper didn't seem to care much about it, as she just shrugged it off and looked back at her book.

After another hour or so, the two decided it would be best to head back to camp to get some rest, so they did just that. Corey held most of their findings, while Casper did help, she was mostly worried about her book, which was fair enough, it was the only thing she was able to bring from dema, other than her clothes, of course

The two got back, Dropping their items into a pile near the main campfire. Casper wasn't quite in the mood to talk with anybody, so she headed back to her tent in a rush. Corey walked up to the assumed leader, Josh, giving details on what he saw and handing him the vial of 'Chlorine', before heading back to his tent. Josh seemed happy about the vial, placing it in a small crate just outside his tent. From what Corey saw, the crate was filled with many medical supplies, and the lid was labelled "MOMENT IS MEDICAL/BEAT IS A CHEMICAL"
