( AN IMPORTANT NOTE )

so, i don't know if you've heard the news, but... ianowt got cancelled and i'm PISSED!!!

it's such a shame that shows like ianowt and the society (w/ lgbt representation and great plot lines) get cancelled, but shows like riverdale get renewal after renewal. this hurts even more when you know they were fully prepared for a season 2, with scripts and everything — only last week i watched a zoom interview with jonathan, wyatt and charles, where jonathan entwhistle was saying how he's been writing scripts for season 2.

so after this news, you may be thinking about the possibility of a sequel to there she goes. well... probably not your FIRST thought 😂 but i wanted to make this announcement fairly swiftly, mainly for my own good. if you thought that this cancellation was going to stop me from doing a sequel,

then you thought wrong.

i'd always planned to do a book two, whether we had a season 2 or not — i simply can't leave all these characters on such open-ended terms. so i guess, with this cancellation, this pretty much confirms to me that what i'll be doing in the near future is creating my own au plot for season 2 from scratch...

now, A COUPLE OF THINGS before you say or do anything:

1) i'm not a writing machine, i can't necessarily get this sequel out super quickly. i mean, if this really is the end of ianowt, then that means i'm technically planning an original story, which takes a lot more work – and especially since these are characters so many people are already attached to. it feels like a big responsibility so therefore i wanna take the time to do it right. also, i'll be starting college soon, so i'll be busy with that too. but i'm NOT giving up 😊

2) whilst i let this sink in and try to come to terms with losing yet ANOTHER show i love (right up there with awae), i'll be penning some ideas for the plot – however, i'll still be wary and hold back just in case it gets picked up by another company or something.

having said this, i'm definitely dedicated to making this sequel. i've even created a spotify playlist with potential songs and a pinterest board (privately for now!) to start gathering ideas for characters (including several new ones, so that should be exciting!). i have some brief outlines at the moment, mainly for characters, and OHH BOY 👀

thanks for reading all of this! i just wanted to kind of get this out there as quickly as possible, because i'm 100% committed to giving these characters (both mine and the show's) the endings they deserve, and i'll try my best to do just that.
