Friends With Benefits
RECAP:
"Hey, Ryuzaki." Chieko greeted him warmly. While on the other hand, Light was so pissed he couldn't simply kill L right then an there. But he had went home after their conversation, and thought. If L is working with the police, and his father also was working with L, they'd know exactly it was Light Yagami who was Kira after L introduced himself to Light. And the fact that said: what's this even L?
"Light, you play tennis?" Ryuzaki questioned. He nodded in response.
"You wanna play against me?" Light grinned. This want simply a game, it was a test.

Chieko let out a sigh at the males in front of her. Strut like peacocks, those two do. She thought to herself in amusement. The game had started, and Ryuzaki was the first to serve a fast ball towards one corner of Light's court. Naturally, Light hadn't expected this, and wished to beat the detective. After all, he was the reigning champion of Tennis around these parts. The only true reason he was playing against Ryuzaki, was because Chieko was standing just outside the tennis court with her books in hand while she watched intently as the ball few onto different parts of the court.
"Aren't those the two that scored the highest on the entrance exams?" One man asked, and soon a crowd had tossed Chieko to the side and were up against the fence. She rolled her eyes and decided that it was not worth salt to watch this match. It was evenly matched. She then stalked off towards her radio station where she was needed in exactly fifteen minutes. Ryuzaki watched as Chieko blew out an angry breath and left as the crowd of normals. Though there was no more motivation to even battle Light, he kept dancing about as he hit the ball skillfully.
"You know," he called to Light, "I was the Junior champion in Tennis back in the UK." Light raised his eyebrows in surprise. Could this be a clue to who he is?
"But that won't tell you anything about me, so don't even try." He added afterwards, seeing a but of annoyance flash across Light's face.
-----------------~
"Hello to everyone out on the radio this fine afternoon.~" Chieko cooed into the mic happily. She had gotten used to expressing more emotion on air over the past few days and now felt as if each person was her family member on the radio. She began to play hit songs of the day, occasionally talking about the sponsors or to talk about the history of a band. She was, as people began to say around To-Oh, the best radio host on air and their listener ratings skyrocketed.
"That's all for today, and remember, guns don't kill people, people kill guns." She reminded the listeners before switching off the mic for the day.
"Another great day, Chieko! Our manager said that you're gonna get an extra bonus for your great work." A student DJ smiled at her as he set the record carefully away. Even though he and Chieko never hung out, he saw her as a big sister; a role model many should follow. And usually one to keep the bullies away from Chieko.
She's a sweet girl, but it always seemed there was so much more to get life.
"See you later, Rui." She said her goodbye, and exited the station. She walked a bit further than her dorm, taking a walk around another block to a small store that was right next to a ridiculously large mall. And Space Land amusement park.
"Hey Ko." She waved to the manager at the table, and he waved back. Coming over to the counter, she took out a picture. Ko came over, his beard only stubs of black on his chin, and long, shaggy Asian hair to the top of his shoulders.
"Around December 17th or so, there was an accident on a bus on a destination to Space Land. You wouldn't happen to tell me the scoop..right?" Chieko raised he corner of her mouth, and Ko shrugged.
"It was simply an accident. Stupid junkie." He commented, "besides, I've got the ice cream you ordered!"
"Thanks! I couldn't live without you." She laughed back before he retreated into his office for a couple of minutes. He then returned with two tubs of Chocolate Ice Cream. She thanked him, then exited back to her house.
"So what have you truly got me, Ko...?" She murmured to herself, opening her dorm room door and entering. She raced to the kitchen and opened both tops of the ice cream. There, under about an inch of ice cream for each tube, was a plastic bag with files by the dozens with pictures.
Chieko almost danced for joy at the sight, and sat down in her living room with the papers and a bowl of excess ice cream. The pictures mostly consisted of the body, and the files had nothing of importance. Half an hour into the search, Chieko almost gave up. And with a sigh; no lead whatsoever. And now she had two tubs of chocolate ice cream.
..She didn't like chocolate ice cream.
"Didn't find anything...?" A voice whispered behind Chieko's back, and a warm breath spread across her neck. She didn't scream, but turned quickly to the culprit. It was a man with strawberry hair and light green eyes that widened. He had a down vest on with no sleeves, but the striped long sleeved shirt underneath made up for the loss.
"The hell are you?!?" She yelled at the man. Grasping the tinted green goggles on his head, she pulled back and snapped them back; causing the man to cry out in pain. This is when she stood up from her sofa and back away carefully.
"What's up Matt-" another voice entered the scene, this time, a man with short blonde hair. He was grasping a tub of the Chocolate Ice cream, and licking his spoon hungrily.
"WHAT THE HELL?!? PEOPLE CANT POP UP INTO MY DORM WHENEVER THEY FEEL ITS NECESSARY!!!" She screamed.
"Sorry for not telling you sooner, Chieko, but I deduced that 69% of our conversation would end in your disapproval." Chieko turned wearily over to Ryuzaki that entered from the bathroom casually.

Here's another chapter!! See, the problem with sticking to the Manga/anime is that I don't have any room for her to meet characters she NEEDS to meet, so right now is totally before Kira #2, and the seasons will probably seem a lot more like, you know, FULL seasons of Spring and summer crap. It made more sense than it does right now. Okay?
..The only reason I'm doing this is so there's more character plot before Misa comes in and shits things up with Light. Because I'm pretty sure she hates Chieko.
Plus, I need your comments! If I put up a possible Oran High School Host Club fanfic, would anybody read it? Just a question.
