Chapter 15: Grumping
I'm sitting on the Game Grumps office's couch, laughing as Dan and Ross are having a heated discussion about which candy is better: Skittles or Gummy Worms.
"What do you mean?!" Dan cries, throwing his arms up in the air dramatically. "Gummy Worms don't come in convenient bite-size piece like Skittles do! It's ridiculously hard to bite into them because they're so chewy! And the flavor of Skittles—"
"Oh, please!" Ross interjects, placing a hand on his hip sassily. "They taste so fake! At least Gummy Worms have a more natural fruit flavor!"
"Skittles don't taste fake!" Dan argues. "Gummy Worms taste fake! They taste like cough syrup!"
"How dare you?!" Ross asks. I can't tell if he's joking or not because of how passionate he is about his Gummy Worms.
Then Arin, who had been watching the whole fight happen with an amused expression on his face, steps between the two men and puts his arms out. "Okay, break it up, you children. I'm here to settle this dispute." He then looks at Dan and says, "Skittles are better. Everybody knows that."
"Ha!" Dan smirks in victory at the fact that a person has taken his side.
"What do you mean?!" Ross screeches, stepping away from Arin in disgust.
"Ross, Gummy Worms don't taste nearly as good as Skittles flavor-wise, and they're extremely annoying to bite into," Arin says, starting to get a bit intense as well. "You should just accept the fact that Gummy Worms are inferior!"
"And you should just accept the fact that I'm quitting," Ross mumbles under his breath, and when the gullible Arin looks at him with sad eyes, he clarifies, "Kidding. I'm kidding, Arin."
Relief sweeps across Arin's face. "Oh, thank God." He then turns to Dan. "So, now that someone has resolved this dilemma, you ready to Grump?"
I smile a bit to myself, loving how Arin and Dan have their own verb for recording videos. I'm kinda curious to see how it's all done. Like, what their humor is like, or what type of games they play. So I'll probably spy on them through the window of the recording room, since I doubt that I'll be allowed in, even if I'm Dan's girlfriend now.
"Yep!" Dan answers cheerily, his smug expression melting into a genuinely happy one. He glances between everyone in the room and says, "And maybe we could all grab some takeout after?"
Everyone buzzes with words of agreement.
Dan smiles at his friends, then his gaze moves to me, the girl that's now more than his friend. Not even caring that everyone's watching, he takes my face in his hands and whispers, "I'll see you in a bit, baby~" He then places a kiss on my lips and releases me, walking to the recording room without Arin.
I blush, smiling to myself at Dan's gesture of affection.
Arin rolls his eyes. "I don't know how I'm gonna be able to tolerate you two..," he mumbles, following Dan into the recording room, shutting the door behind him.
Brian rolls his eyes. "My God. I should probably tell you, (Y/N), Danny has no problem with PDA. No problem whatsoever."
I blush a little and nod. "I-I noticed..."
"That just means he's comfortable around you, though," Allie chimes in.
I smile a bit at the thought, not really knowing how to respond.
There's a bit of an awkward silence, so I stand up, ready to spy on Arin and Dan doing their thing. "I'm gonna watch my brother and my boyfriend record now, if that's okay," I say.
Brian nods. "Yeah, go ahead. They don't mind if you watch from outside."
"Cool beans," I say, sauntering over to the window and watching my two dudes smile as they begin to talk into their microphones.

I laugh a bit as Arin screams and throws his gaming controller. "WHAT THE HELL, DUDE? THIS IS SUCH GARBAGE!" he screams, tugging at his hair in frustration. Dan responds by bursting into laughter. He attempts to embrace Arin in a hug, but Arin shoves him away.
Dan then proceeds to say something, but I can't hear it very well through the closed door. But I can make out two words: Big Cat. I smile, remembering Dan's peculiar pet name for Arin.
That name melts Arin's defenses, since he lets Dan embrace him after that. Dan pats his back while whispering soothing words to his best friend.
These two men are something else. I guess I've taken Arin for granted. He's more unique than I've given him credit for.
"Boo!" someone says from behind me, grasping my shoulders suddenly.
I jump, an odd noise of fear coming out of my mouth. I turn around, and Ross is staring at me with a smirk. "I scared ya~" he teases, stepping forward so that he's next to me, watching his friends through the window.
I cross my arms and huff. "Did not. What'd you come here for, anyway? I doubt it was just to scare me."
"I figured I'd watch Arin and Dan record as well. It's really amusing, isn't it?" Ross asks, giggling as Arin rests his head in Dan's lap while Dan whines some sort of protest about the whole ordeal.
"Surprisingly so," I say, smiling. "I don't know what I was expecting from Game Grumps, but it's a lot funnier than I thought it'd be. And that's without context." I laugh as Dan tries, but fails, to lift Arin off of him. "I might even watch it sometime."
"You haven't watched it yet?" Ross asks.
"Nope. But I'm regretting that decision now," I answer. "I've always wanted to, I guess I just never got around to it."
"Hm. Well, if you're liking this stupidity, then it's probably the channel for you," Ross smiles.
I smile back, and silence envelops us as we watch Arin and Dan do their thing. It's pretty comfortable, surprisingly.
And, before we know it, Arin and Dan are done with their session. They get up, stretch, and walk out of the recording room. They turn and see Ross and I standing at the window. "Oh, you were watching, (Y/N)?" Arin asks, blushing a little from embarrassment. "I'm sorry you had to see that side of me, little sis."
"Oh, no worries," I say, laughing as I pat Arin's head. "It was a fun side of you to see."
Me, Ross, Arin, and Dan head back to the office's...living room? I guess you could call it that? We plop down onto the couch. "So, what do ya'll want for lunch?" Dan asks, wrapping his arm around me. I attempt to keep my composure.
"W E N D Y ' S!" Arin yells.
We all think for a minute. Then, we all agree, making Arin's face light up. "REALLY? AHH I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!"
I roll my eyes and say, "We love you too, Arin."

After eating a stellar lunch from Wendy's and saying bye to everyone, Arin drives me and Suzy back to the house.
While we're jamming out to Starbomb (Arin had forced me to listen to it, and him and Dan are great with music. I might listen to Dan's other band too), I get a text from Dan. We just exchanged numbers, since it had slipped our minds until that moment.
Dan 💖: Hey, are you busy tomorrow?
Me: Nope! Why?
Dan 💖: I want to take you somewhere. ;)
Me: Oooh. Sounds intriguing. Where do you wanna take me?
Dan 💖: I'd prefer to keep it a surprise, baby. ;))) Do you mind if I pick you up at around 2:00?
Me: Not at all! Oh man, now you've got me excited!
Dan 💖: Aw good! So I'll see you then?
Me: You know it!
I smile to myself, already excited for tomorrow.

Oh boy. I hate how this chapter came out. I just needed to get something out, and writer's block as being really mean to me. I'll have solved this problem by the next time I update, though, so don't worry! :D
