Some questions went unsolved, so why not indulge in a brief questionnaire, shall we?

Q1. Who is Leo?

Leo's just another unprecedented rival. He could've easily swept the reader off her feet but I decided to let their friendship remain as platonic as possible.

Q2. Is Leo Neiji?

To answer that isn't difficult at all... Nope! Some must readers must believe he's his reincarnate, but for the sake of the story, it was the opposite. Leo Sasori is the detective's oldest nephew, and she took care of him ever since his parents gave up custody. This is why he knows so much about cases and seems to be very inquisitive socially.

Q3. What's the deal with Shiro's rebirth?

Well, as stated, he doesn't know why this is happening. No one knows, really. This could be his very own purgatory, or perhaps his very own definition of heaven.

Maybe, just maybe... I had a head canon; one where this is nothing short of an otome game, simulated by a developer. And Shiro? He's the virus infecting the code.. Changing the world around him, deleting character files, etc. Buuuut I was scared to publish that ending, ehe.

Q4. Why didn't Seiichiro alarm the police of Neiji's body? They live together, after all.

Seiichiro doesn't know any better. He's willing to defend a pile of bones for his brother. That's what being a "family" means.. right, Shiro?

Q5. There wasn't a basement in the last run?

No, never-- at least, up until his current reset. His new reload spawned a different route where his apartment had changed significantly.

Q6. What's the difference between Seiichiro and Shiro?

Shiro harms for the love of his life, meanwhile Seiichiro harms solely because he's grown fond of it. Shiro's habits of psychopathy rubbed off on him, thus without his BPD medication, he will spiral into madness.

Q7. Seiichiro wasn't crazy this time?

Mm! During this particular run, Shiro never stole his identity.. thus Seiichiro could take his pills and maintain his sanity.

Q8. How long has Shiro been retrying?

Twelve years and beyond. This is why Neiji's corpse has become a fossil. Each time, Shiro took everything from his brother, not realizing that the true solution was staring him right in the face; to just be himself. He could avoid your death. He could avoid his brother killing him in the end. Of course, that would mean he'd still have a bad ending regardless... It's pretty hard for him to accept that attaining peace with you is impossible.

Q9. Where's Neiji?!!??!

Dead. Just dead.

Q10. What happened to Neiji? Why didn't he respawn in the reload?

I dunno.. uhhh .. plot logic.
Let's just say he took getting rid of his rivals a bit too far...

Q11. So it started in the attic?

Yes! All of Shiro's resets have something in common; he left his medication up in your attic. There, he would fall for the reader and never turn back.

Q12. What's Kirigiri and Seiichiro's relationship?

Seiichiro and Kirigiri has a more... complicated relationship. They were pretty much strangers during their second year together, and despite them only being friends Kirigiri still had her delusions. So, after Seii murdered his mother, he blatantly used Kirigiri and fled to her home, where he'd have an alibi-- but in the process would become entangled in her possession via her blackmail. This is why he finds her annoying and completely unattractive. That doesn't mean he never felt guilty for her death however.

Q13. What happened to Kazuma?

Funny story-- I was tempted to have the dog die not once, but TWICE. I'm a huge animal lover so killing Kazuma off felt like heartbreak itself-- so I decided to let him live, haha. :P Right now, Kazuma resides with the reader.
