Echo's Prototype/Intelligent Rational Initiative System

It has been a week since Echo has seen the outside world. Needless to say, she was very fascinated on what it was like to be outside. Only downside, she can't stay out, or else she would get caught and be experimented on. So because of this, she had to limit to how long she can stay outside to explore.

And speaking of Aurora, he actually began to work on the materials that the scientists had used to make Echo. If he can find out what they used, and how there were able to weaponize the Hard-light dust, than he should be able to make some upgrades for her to make her preform in battle much better than before.

Vision is also helping with Echo, and in his case, alongside Amber, he's helping her with her targeting practice. They are trying to help her to at times aim for the weak point if the enemy that she will face. And needless to say, Aurora isn't entirely sure that it will work in helping Echo. But Aurora simply lets them do what they might do.

Right now, Echo is having a little bit of fun with Vision, as they began to discuss that is legitimately none of Aurora's own business. And it seems that she is having a good time right now.

As Aurora looks into the computer, he began to feel like he missed something. And it involves what was inside the base. He knows that there is more than there is inside of the base, he just might not have checked everything yet.

"Hmmm...maybe I should go back, just in case I have missed something in the base. After all...better be safe than sorry."

Aurora than stepped out of his desk, as he goes to the portal to go back to the bast, to check something. As he prepared to leave, he remembers that he can't have his base unprotected. He spoke out to the person that is the nearest to him.

"Bastion!"

The giant robotic behemoth than comes to where Aurora is, as he walks his heavy feet, causing the ground to shake slightly a little bit.

The robot looks at him and made some sounds. Aurora than spoke to him more.

"I need you to make sure that nobody goes inside our base and finds out of our existence. Guard the entrance at all costs. Do you understand?"

Bastion nodded, as it goes to the entrance to guard the door. And Aurora began to think at who will go with him to base the he will return. After a little bit of thinking, he snapped his metal fingers...which sounds more like a scraping of metal against metal, and goes to find the person he'll need help with.

Timeskip...

Aurora is now back at the base, and this time, has brought Echo with him. Vision is on standby, so that he'll make a portal for them when they got what they need, or in case they need to leave to escape something or someone that could try killing them.

"So...can you remind me why we are back there again, Aurora?"

Echo spoke out. Aurora looked back at her, and he spoke out.

"I feel like there is something we haven't found yet. And it seems we need to go back to the base to find out what is inside, something we might've missed."

Thankfully, the door is still opened for Aurora to enter, and Echo follows his direction. Inside, the bodies are still present, and some of them are now decaying much more than the other bodies that's present in this abandoned place.

As he looked around, he didn't see anything unusual...but he knows that there is a room somewhere. Accessing a cable insert, he than began to scan the room...only to find that there is one room...and it is huge. It even has it's own repair room.

"Okay, found it."

Aurora spoke out.

"You did?"

Echo spoke out to him. Aurora nodded, and began to go to the direction of where the room is. When the foundation the room...it turns out it was hidden inside of a wall, and has a password that can be accessed at the desk that's next to the wall. But Aurora doesn't do passwords. He pressed onto the password access, and instantly opened the door.

Aurora than entered the room, as he looked at the title that is above the door. What the title's name?

"Project I? Is this related to you, Echo?"

Than, Aurora spoke this in his mind.

'And jeez, how many projects are there? There's already a project that my dad made for Vision, which I was also involved in, than there's a project that was made for Echo, whom we found, and now, this?"

Aurora turned to Echo, who shakes her head and speaks out.

"I'm not sure. I don't even know if it is related to me."

Aurora nodded his head, before turning back to the room, as they enter, and the door closes behind them.

The room was huge, by about 40x40x40 feet in length, height, and width. At the end of the room is a capsule of some sort, which was similar to Echo's, except a fine bit higher and deeper than Echo's.

"It looks like something escaped it without any help outside."

As Aurora observer the capsule, Echo looked and see that there are blueprints. The blueprints, however, looked as though it has been burned, because there are black marks covering the entire thing on the paper.

"Whatever this 'I' is, it seemed to have been hidden. But why? It is dangerous that it must be hidden?"

Aurora spoke. Before he could even find out what's 'I'...

KCHING!!!!

All of a sudden, a strange crashing sound of metal against metal was suddenly heard from another room. Aurora froze, as he spoke out.

"Did you hear that?"

Echo turned, and before she could speak...

CRASH!!!!

BLAMMM!!!

KSHHHHH!!!!!

The sounds of metal falling, explosions, and glass breaking were suddenly heard, as the wall beside them collapsed. Aurora covered his face, as Echo avoids the shrapnels of metal and glass that exploded towards her.

When Aurora looked at what had just happened, he saw that there is smoke and a large hole from where the explosion came from. And now only that...there is a silhouette shown through the smoke itself. Aurora narrows his eyes, as he spoke out.

"Who is this? What are you?"

There was silence, but than the figure began to move, as a blue glow is shown on its face. When the smoke finally settled...the figure is finally shown...and needless to say, Aurora is surprised at who's there.

It resembles Echo, except it has sleeves instead of wings. Instead of a face, the hologram appears to resemble what seems to be a helmet of some sort. Regardless, it, or her body, resembles that of Echo's very, very well. The name 'IRIS' is shown on her right chest cavity.

Aurora, inside his body, narrows his eyes, as he spoke through the body of the Atlas Knight-135.

"Who are you?!"

The entity however, didn't speak at first, and turned to see Echo behind him. When it saw Echo, it noticeably growled, as it spoke in a female tone.

"Echo..."

Echo flinched, as it looked like she was glaring at Echo herself. After a minute, she finally regained her composure, and spoke out.

"Who are you, and how do you know who I am?"

The entity, after it was silent, than began to speak angrily,

"I'm Iris...you're original. I was meant to be the perfect Android...but your creator...my creator...scrapped me. Once I kill you...I will be back as her favorite Android!"

All of a sudden, her arm began to shift and change into what seemed to be an arm cannon.

Before anyone could even speak, Iris than fires her cannon at them. Aurora grabbed Echo's hand, and pulled her away from the direction of the blast.

BLAM!!!!!

The blast made a large hole in the wall. Aurora looked at Iris, as he spoke out.

"I don't know what you are going on about...but you aren't gonna hurt my friend!!"

Aurora spoke, as he prepared for battle.

Aurora than took out his mini-guns, as he began to open fire on Iris.

Iris, however, began to dodge, as she fired her blaster at Aurora.

Aurora attempted to dodge...but he got nicked in the knee.

"Ghhhhhh!!!"

The blast took out a chunk of his aura. But it was still here to protect him, thankfully. However, Aurora has to act fast. Iris than fired her cannon in a mirror, which bounced off of it, and goes towards Aurora to hit him.

Aurora, however, turned around, and dodged the blast before it had the chance to hit him. But Iris calculated where it will hit her, and instantly dodged the attack.

Aurora than fired again at her, but this time in the face. It...didn't work, as Iris' 'faceplate' protected her from the shots. Since shots can't work on her, it's time to do the blades and cut her down to size.

When he rushed at her, he immediately stabbed her in the left arm.

"Gahhh!!!"

Iris cried in pain. She was used to getting shot, but getting stabbed, it was a different story to even her. She has no defense against anything related to sharp weaponry. She can only use guns, cannons, or anything that can invoke precisely shooting the opponents.

However, when Aurora tried to stab her cannon...she reacted and fired at Aurora's left arm...blasting it clean off.

"Ghhhhh!!!"

Aurora tried his best to not scream. But Iris punched Aurora in the helmet, cracking it, this caused Aurora to fall down on his back, as he looked up at Iris. Iris than points her cannon down, as she prepared to fire at Aurora. But before she could do that...

"GET AWAY FROM MY FRIEND!!!"

Echo than fired a blast of light from her hands. The light than hits Iris, as she is sent flying to a wall that is at her left.

CRASH!!!

When Iris hit the wall, it made a crater for her to fit in. Iris than makes an attempt to get out of the crater. But Echo grabbed Iris by the waist, and sends her flying to another wall. This time, however, Iris stops in mid-air. She than turns to Echo, and spoke out.

"So you finally decide to fight me? I will have the pleasure to destroying you as slowly and as painfully as I can possibly make."

Iris spoke, as she fired her arm cannon at her. Echo does the same, as they are both locked in an energy fight against one another. But Echo than made a hard light construct of Vision, as the construct fired its laser at Iris from her back.

"GAHHH!!!"

This than made Iris cry out in pain, and made her lose concentration. This was a big mistake for her to lose concentration, as she got hit by Echo's blast of energy.

As she began to stand up, or levitate back up, Echo than began to charge at her, this time, going fist to fist with her.

Iris, however, is just as great in it, as she than charged at Echo, and go into a hand-lock with her. Both Echo and Iris are struggling against each other's strength, as the both of them seemed pretty even.

Eventually, however, Iris than used her head, literally, as she head butted Echo, forcing herself to go back. Iris also used her speed boost to charge at her and try to ran into her, hard. But Echo than flied up into the air, and shot 3 bullets of energy at the prototype.

The shots were able to stop and damage her just enough for Echo to come in and punch her, hard. She was sent crashing down to the floor.

Echo later than took the chance to rain down some grenades.

When the grenades touched Iris...

BOOM!!!!!

The grenades exploded in a flash of blue light. As that happened, smoke covered Iris, Echo looked down to see what is happening.

Aurora began to scan where she is...and saw something.

"Barrier?"

When the smoke cleared, Iris is seen being covered in what seemed to be a barrier of blue energy. She looked up Echo, and spoke out.

"Is that the best you can do? Pathetic."

She than charged at her fast, as Echo does the same thing, and as fast.

Her 'wings' even began to glow a bluish-light color. As they both collided, it caused a shockwave of blue energy to appear, and it sends Aurora back a little bit, and thankfully, he was able to grab his arm again, and finds a repair room for him to put the arm back to him.

Echo is angry, that she won't stop attacking. Obviously, Iris is possibly going to plan on killing her friends and the people she owe her life to, should she ever find out who they are.

She than charged at Iris, who than made a shield to send her back again. But Echo wasn't going to stop yet. When Iris began to attack, Echo attacked, and launched the sticky bombs at her again. Iris, however, blasts them out of the air, causing a blue blanket affect.

As Iris looked around, she began to initiate an idea of her own. She blasts the ground, which caused the smoke to spread and disappear. Echo closed in, but Iris prepared to shoot her with her cannon. But before she could do that...

Aurora back with his left arm now back again.

"Miss me?"

Iris got angry, as she roared a him.

"Why can't you just stay down for once?! DIE ALREADY!!!"

Iris than began to fly at him, but than he charged at her and punched Iris in the face, sending her back. As Iris stumbled back, he activated his Miniguns again, and shot her at a fast rate, and began to push her back into the capsule. While her body can't be dented, she is still being damaged by the fast bullets. Echo, seeing what he's doing, than does her  light blast, as she pushed her prototype of a robot back to where it was created. Iris tried to push back from the force of them both, but ultimately, she was pushed back, and Aurora forced the door to close on her.

"Ghhhh!!! I can't hold her for long. Echo, shut her down!!!"

Aurora shouted at her, as he struggles to keep the door closed. Echo nodded, and began to press onto some buttons, as Aurora tried to keep the door closed long enough for Iris to finally be shut down to prevent her from attacking anyone else.

"Let me out, you pathetic weakling!! You will never stop me from destroying her!!"

Aurora pretended like he didn't hear that, as he struggled to keep her from escaping again. After a little bit, however...Echo finally shuts her down, and even Iris began to feel it.

"No...no, NOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo..."

Iris screamed out, before she was finally shut down. Aurora looked at capsule, as Echo spoke out.

"Are you okay, Aurora?"

Aurora looked at her and nodded.

"I am...you?"

Echo nodded, and than looked back at the capsule where Iris resides in right now.

"What she said, it confused me. She claimed that, I was a replacement for our creator, and she wanted revenge on me for that. What did she mean when she said those words?"

Aurora looked down, and not even he knows. But he has a guess that he decided to speak out.

"It's either your creator scrapped her, and left her alone in the capsule, or she was simply to dangerous, and had to lock her away so that she doesn't harm people. Either way, I think it's best that we don't know about it."

Echo looked at him and nodded. Aurora than spoke into his communicator, talking to Vision.

"Vision, I think we can go now. We found something, and we don't want to go back to this place again."

Vision than spoke out.

"Right away, sir."

Than, a portal opened behind them, as Aurora turned to Echo

"Let's go back and pretend that this all didn't happen. Okay?"

Echo looked at him and nodded.

"Okay."

Aurora nodded, as they both head back through the portal, and the portal behind them both closed. Hopefully...this is the last that they'll see of Iris.
