Chapter Ten
He was sitting in his car outside my house, a cute smile spread across his face. After closing my front door, tucking my hands into my pockets, I sighed loudly as I walked towards his car. Slipping into the passenger's seat, I looked back at my house. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Ava in her window, shaking her head in disappoint. I frowned, looking away, knowing that the next time that we could talk would mean that I would receive one hell of a lecture. Frank was giggling, looking at me with a face full of adventure.
"Dude, I would fuck her until she forgot how to think." He said crudely, tapping his hands against the steering wheel as he drove away. I smiled, as though I found his joke hilarious, even though I could've murdered him for speaking about her like that. Before I could even ask him how he felt, given his rough night, he was already filling me in on the plans that he had for us. "Okay, so I have to meet somebody on the other side of town." He said, getting straight to the point.
"What for?" I asked, not particularly bothered. I just wanted to keep conversations going.
"I bought some drugs earlier, we need to go and pick them up." He said, speeding now.
It was beginning to get dark as we pulled into a parking lot at the edge of town. There was already an expensive, red car waiting there. Putting the car into park, Frank turned to me. He looked at me with pleading eyes, a wad of cash in his hand. He wants me to go and pay for the drugs, doesn't he? I said to myself, looking him straight in the eye. He pouted, I snatched the cash from his hand coldly, slamming the car door behind me. I hated the control that he had over me, but I would do anything to please him. If that meant doing his dirty work, then so be it.
The wind gnawed at my ankles, as a small man got out of the red car. He looked around, shadily, proceeding to walk towards me. He looked around again, before opening his mouth.
"Cash?" He asked, looking around with his bright white teeth barred. Instead of talking, I showed him the wad of cash in my hands. He smiled menacingly, flashing a large bag of white powder at me. We exchanged our goods, he grabbed my wrist, stopping me from going back towards the car. "You're a pretty boy. Smile." He said creepily, as I wrenched my arm away from him. Scratching my skin, I got back into Frank's car, dropping the bag into his lap. He giggled, speeding away.

"Want some?" Frank shouted over the loud music. The noise was pulsating in my ears, drowning out much noise. I nodded my head quickly, the glistening white powder beckoning me to inhale all of it. I rolled up a dollar bill, both Frank and I leaning over the sink. His cologne was overpowering, he grinned at me before snorting a line. He sat up, shaking his head, before rubbing some of the powder into his gums. His eyes implored me to do it, I stared down at the drug. I knew that I shouldn't have been doing it- but my body craved it. I could've used some pleasure, some adventure- be that causal sex, or a serious alcohol binge.
After inhaling sharply, I copied Frank by rubbing some into my gums. I loved the strong chemical smell, the salty-sweet taste- I loved how it began to numb my mouth. Closing my eyes, I took a deep breath in, looking Frank in the eyes. He nodded with a giggle, I smiled.
My mind felt free for the first time in a long time, it was peculiar. I span around on my heels, as Frank left the room. He was in hot pursuit of a "hot" girl, I imagine. Closing he bathroom door behind me, I wiped my nose, feeling out of place. The women were scantily clad, and the guys wore guy clothes. Me in all black didn't fit in, but I wasn't willing to take my coat off.
The other thing on my mind was booze. I needed some of that sweet, burning, amber liquid that had become a huge part of my diet. Wandering to the kitchen, I took a full bottle of beer from the huge marble countertop. I didn't bother with the cliche red cups, there was no point in that when I was going to neck the beer in full right there, right then.
There was a dull clapping noise behind me, I turned around on my heel, eyes wide. There was a smallish girl behind me, her hair short. Like Frank's, I thought to myself, feeling pit in my stomach. "What?" I asked, still frowning, holding the empty bottle.
"That was impressive, I've never seen anybody do that before." She said with a smile, her teeth uneven, her blue eyes staring at me with hopeful eyes.
"Thank you." I said simply, her eyes still staring at me. Placing the bottle down, I took another, before grabbing her wrist. She giggled like a schoolgirl, as I took her upstairs. I need something, my mind was begging me to get some sort of pleasure. She didn't seem to disagree, instead she ran ahead of me. She peeked at me from behind a door, batting her eyelids.
Downing another beer, I walked, arms out, towards her.
