The Next Day

Shadow's POV

I screamed while I was being grabbed, "You are a disgusting human I must say~" the robot holding me sneered, "Your very disgusting yourself creep!" I sneer, "Ouch that hurt cutie," he pouts, "Awww did I hurt your feelings~" I hum devilishly, "Yes and for that I shall give you to Jazz! He will take care of that pretty little mouth of yours!" The bot known as Sideswipe sneered, we are playing in the huge backyard that Tom and Terry have behind their house, "I can't believe I'm doing this, but here it goes," I hear Sunny mumble, "Unhand her you overgrown toaster!" My hero calls, "If it isn't Sir SunStreaker the King and Queen's knight? Here for this?" Sideswipe hums holding me up, "Princess Shadow? How about we show SunStreaker what we do~ Jazz, Crosshairs, get the torture device!" Sideswipe orders.

Sunny rolls his eyes, "Just give me the prince and I won't shove my ped in your aft!" Sunny sneers, "So mean, Sideswipe give him the prince!" Crosshairs orders, "No! She's mine all mine!" He yells then runs off into the woods, "Oh help Sir SunStreaker!" I plead, I see Sunny on Sideswipe's tail, SunStreaker trips Sideswipe, making Sides let go of me and I fly in the air, I clench my jaw waiting for me to hit the ground but I don't.

"Oh, prince SunStreaker! You have defeated the villain! You will have a great gift when we get to my homeland," I chirp, Sunny rolls his blue eyes and walks out if the woods dragging our villain by the foot, "I shall rise again! You won't stop me Sir SunStreaker! I swear to it!" Sideswipe yells smiling shaking his fist at Sunny, "Shut your trap, you idiot!" Sunny orders, "Okay," Sideswipe says quickly smiling and laid back while he was being dragged.

Sunny set me on his shoulder and got a better grip on Sideswipe's foot, I look back at Sideswipe, who winked at me with a cheeky smile, I smile and try my best to wink back, but I never learned how to wink, Sideswipe's eyes filled with amusement while I attempted to wink, he chuckles when I gave up after a few minutes of trying.

I look at my hero, his blue eyes are focused on the house we were almost close to, his lips are scared, his cheeks have old faded battle scars which weren't very long, Sunny looks at me, "What?" He grunts, "Oh nothing, what are we gonna do with Sides?" I whisper, Sunny looks at me devilishly, "Oh dear, I've got a bad feeling about that look," I whisper to him, "Oh you should," he says a little smirk appears before it leaves.

I have always wondered why Sunny was the "mean" twin and Sides is the happy twin? I mean there has to be a time where Sunny was happy, he probably wore a smile and was chirpy and a funny guy, that would be so nice to see, but I like the Sunny he is today.

"We're here," Sunny grunts dropping Sideswipe's foot, I giggle while Sunny sets me down, he did it rather gently, I kneel to him, "Thank you Sir SunStreaker for bringing me home," I say then I stand, "What shall you do with Evil Sideswipe?" I ask curiously using a prince sounding voice, "I don't know, throw him in the pond? Scratch his paint? Who knows, maybe Crosshairs and Jazz will help," Sunny shrugs slightly, "Oh Sir SunStreaker!" I call when he walks off, Sunny turns and looks at me, "Please come inside and enjoy our finest-" I say but Terry cuts me off, "Dinner!" "FOOD?!" Jazz, Crosshairs and Sides yell, "Yes food now get in here! Shoes off!" Terry orders, Ironhide and Chromia are already inside, they signed the papers and took them to the courthouse after I signed them, now Ironhide and Chromia are my PARENTS!

I am so happy!

"Come on Squishy," Sunny grunts I see I'm still standing in the middle of the yard while the others are at the door in their human forms, "Comin?" Jazz asks, I nod and race towards the door, I do a backflip over the three little stairs and then land inside.

The boys outside of the door are trying to figure out what happened, I hear applause, I turn and see Tom applauding me, "Good job," he praises, I've always been a sucker for praises, I smile while he patted my head, "Come eat, Terry cooked your favorite~" Tom sings, I giggle and then run into the kitchen, the others Autobots follow, "Honey, I already got your plate made, boys," Terry says looking at the boys in the kitchen, which were Bee, Crosshairs, Sides and Sunny, "I'll have your plates to ya, go sit down," Terry says ushering them out into the dining room, Hound and Drift didn't want to eat human food if you are wondering where they are. They decided to go out for patrol.

I saw my plate at the table it is between Ironhide and Chromia, who is already eating, the smell of Terry's tacos was delicious, I watched as Terry made plates then handed a plate to me to take it out to one of the bots, I smiled while I watched Sides take the first bite of his taco, after a while of his chewing he swallows, "This..." He starts and pauses, "Is AMAZING! I've never tasted something so good in my life!" He continues eating, the other is now eating, "Shadow dear, could you please get me a-" the next word Tom said brought my stomach down, my face is probably pale, "Beer," I swallow the lump in my throat, but I quickly get up and grab a beer out of the fridge and usher it to Tom, here comes the girl that Devin beat into me, I hand him the beer not letting go until he had it, "Thanks baby girl, you can sit down now," Tom says then kisses my cheek, I quickly sit down at my spot, Ironhide is looking at me curiously, I wave him off and continue eating...

Then it gets worse, Tom accidentally dropped his now empty beer bottle on the floor, it shatters at contact, I am out of my chair before anyone could say a thing, I have the broom and dustpan already sweeping it up, "Honey, I would have gotten it," Terry says softly.

I look at her emotionless, "I've got it," I say emotionless, Terry grabs the dustpan and broom gently, "Shadow, dear, how about you go show Ironhide and the others their rooms, mainly their rooms are the guest rooms," Terry says gently, I nod, "Follow me," I say emotionless after everyone is done eating, I was drawling while they ate, I had to keep my emotions intact because that's what Devin beat into me, the others stand and follow me, I am to stay emotionless, if one emotion gets out of place I would be beat.

You see Devin wanted an emotionless, do whatever Devin says child, but first, he had to break my spirit, which means he had to beat me until I would learn not to be happy, which took a long time, I show a room to Bee, who he would be sharing with Jazz, Crosshairs had a room to himself since the room he chooses was the smallest, "This is where I'm sleeping," I say emotionless, "Ironhide, Chromia, your room is down the hall to the left, it is the second master bedroom, I will show you,"
I say still emotionless.

Ironhide and Chromia follow me, "Shadow? Kid? You alright?" Ironhide asks when I open the door to the room, I nod, Ironhide and Chromia walk in, Ironhide then grabs me from behind, his arms wrapped around my tummy and pulled me in the room, I giggle happily when being tickled, "Get 'er Chromia!" Ironhide says I laugh uncontrollably while Chromia tickles me, I squirm and squeal in Ironhide's arms.

After awhile Chromia stops, I am breathless, "Meanie," I breathe, they lay on the bed with me in between them, their arms are wrapped around me, their legs tangled with mine. Chromia breaks the comfortable silence.

"I can't believe it, we're a family," me and Hide smile at her.

I and Hide yawn, "Aww, come on you two take a nap, I'll talk with-" Chromia goes to get up but Hide pulls her down, "Your staying," he grumbles, Chromia smiles with a chuckle, I nuzzle into their warmth, the three of us snuggle under the covers.

Ironhide and Chromia wrap their arms around me and holding me in a parent embrace I haven't felt in a long time, Chromia presses a light kiss to m forehead then pulls back laying her head on my pillow, Ironhide does the same.

I yawn starting to feel super sleepy, Hide and Chromia chuckle, I hear both of them whisper while I drifted off to sleep:

2 in the Morning

I shot up from sleep by the sound of lighting, rain pouring down the dark sky, my breathing is heavy, I jump out of bed and run out of the bedroom.

Ironhide's POV

I woke up from recharge to feel Chromia shaking me, "Ironhide, I can't find Shadow," she whispers, I instantly shoot out of bed then look around rapidly for her, I run out into the hall checking every room except Tom and Terry's, "Ironhide? What are ya doing?" Jazz asks while I check every inch of the housing unit for my sparkling.

Bumblebee then walks up the stairs, "Uh Ironhide," he says rubbing the back of his holoforms neck, "You might want to see this," I follow him down the stairs, the other Autobots following, Bee leads us to the kitchen and flips on the light switch.

I see Shadow in the corner of the kitchen trembling with fear?.... I furrow my brows with confusion, Bee steps forward close to Shadow, the lightning makes a loud noise it sounded like a car exploding, Shadow screams when the power goes out, "Ironhide!" She sobs, "Help me!" I walk over to her, I grab her arm gently she jumps with a scream, "It's only me Shadow," I say, she jumps into my arms, "Don't let the lightning get me!" She sobs, Bee tries to flip the light switch but the light doesn't come back on.

"Power out," Sideswipe states.

Shadow is sobbing in my arms, I pick her up gently setting her on my hip, then Tom comes down, a flashlight in hand, "I heard Shadow scream is she-?" He questions the lightning booms making Shadow scream into my chest in fear, I rub her back soothingly, it pained me to see my sparkling crying.

Then Terry and Chromia walk down the stairs, "She's afraid of lightning, she doesn't mind it being quiet but when it's loud, she is terrified of it," Terry explains, Chromia takes Shadow out of my arms, "It's alright carrier is right here," she soothes to our crying sparkling, Shadow is crying on Chromia's shoulder, Terry and the others go around the house and collect candles after the flashlight died, we are all in the living room, Shadow is on my lap, a blanket over her while she recharged, she stopped crying a little while ago, her helm resting on my chest. My servo rubbing her back struts soothingly, a servoful of my shirt is in her servo, candles are around us are lit, Terry got ahold of the electric company after 20 minutes trying to get ahold of them.

"How about we play a game?" Sideswipe suggests, Drift and Hound are in their Holoforms sitting on a couch, "Like what?" Shadow asks rubbing her optics, "Ya Sides, what?" Jazz hums, "I don't know, but I know it's a game," Sideswipe shrugs, "How about we sit in the dark?" Drift suggests.

"Drift, that's boring," Shadow complains.

I chuckle through mine and Chromia's bond, she is also chuckling through our bond.

"What about war stories? You know funny or fun things you did during the war, I mean you had to of done something funny or fun," Shadow says.

"Back on Cybertron Jazz used to party a lot," Sideswipe says making Jazz chuckle.

"Show some moves!" Shadow encourages.

"He's not afraid to," Chromia says smiling, Arcee and Bee are chatting quietly among themselves, Hound is talking with Crosshairs.

Shadow's POV

I cheer while Jazz showed some moves, I wish I had moves like his, Jazz stopped dancing, I was clapping for him, "Those moves sucked!" Sideswipe boos, I giggle when Jazz crosses his arms and sha-shaded his, "Yous think yous can do better pretty boy?" Jazz teases, "Yeah! I think I can!" Sideswipe says also crossing his arms.

"Fine then a dance-off," Jazz says with a smirk, "Fine!" Sideswipe snaps, I giggle while they both argued on who was gonna win, "Fine then who will be the judge?" Sideswipe snaps, "SunStreaker will," Jazz says making Sunny look up at him, I smile at Sunny, I get off of Hide's lap and sit by Sunny, who is sitting on the floor with a notebook in his lap, the book looks familiar then I blush with embarrassment when I see it's my sketchbook.

I see Sunny looking at a picture of an anime girl with a bloody knife to a man's throat, she has brown hair with pigtails, it is off a Nightcore song called Secret.

"Your good, creepy drawing but good, "Sunny says, I smile still blushing with embarrassment, "Where did you learn to draw like this?" He asks, "I taught myself, in school, the kids weren't nice to me, so I stayed in the background, heck even the teachers didn't want me in their classes," I whisper.

He flips the page, its one of him, he looks at me, he's smiling, I scratch the back of my neck, I drew it when I wondered what he would look like smiling, so I did:

Sunny gives me a serious look, "Why did you drew a picture of me?" He asks, "Well I wondered yesterday what you would look like smiling so I drew you smiling," I say embarrassed.

He grunts and flips the page, it's a picture of Hide's human form, he flips the page, it's the Autobot symbol, then after that the Deadpool symbol then blank pages, "Those were good," he compliments, "Thanks," I shrug, I lay on his arm and yawn.
