The Island of Patch, home to Team STRQ. Team STRQ consisted of the beautiful Summer Rose, Taiyang Xiao-Long, Raven Branwen and the drunken Qrow Branwen, Raven's twin brother, these individuals were known throughout Remnant as the most powerful team of Huntsmen and Huntresses, but what most people didn't know, was that Summer Rose and Raven Branwen both had children, Ravens daughter, Yang Xiao-Long who had taken her fathers last name, and Summer Rose's daughter, Ruby Rose.

She, like her mother, was born with silver eyes, growing up Ruby and Yang both loved the idea of being Huntresses just like their mothers, during their childhood the girls would have sword fights with sticks they found outside, Qrow would always tell the girls tales of his days at Beacon, but Summer would always scold Qrow because he would always end up adding filthy things, but thankfully Ruby never understood most things anyway, but a lass, came the dreadful day of Summer Roses passing.

Inside Team STRQ's house, a phone began to ring, Summer Rose walked to the phone and answered "Hello, Summer Rose speaking." she spoke in a calm voice.

"Hello Summer, it's Ozpin." Hearing that the voice on the other end was her former Mentor and Headmaster, the young woman gained a smile and spoke in a cheerful tone.

"Oh, hi Ozpin! How are you?" She questioned with a hint of happiness.

"I'm fine Summer, I was just checking in to ask you a favor." Hearing this Summer got a little curious

"Sure Ozpin, what do you need?" She asked.

"A small nest of Grimm has been sighted near Mount Glenn, I know this is risky but the nest is quite close to a small civilization, we cannot have the Grimm destroy another village. Listen, I know it's nearing your daughter's birthday b-" Before Ozpin could finish what he was saying he was cut off by Summer.

"How long will it take?" She requested.

"A few hours at most." He answered.

"Then you can count me in Oz." She says with a big smile on her face.

"Thank you, Summer." Just after he said that he hung up the call. Summer then set down the house phone and turned around only to be met by the face of her loving Husband, Taiyang.

"Who was it?" Tai asked in a concerned tone.

"Ozpin, he asked me to clear out a small nest of Grimm near Mount Glenn."

"What?!" Tai yelled, which caused Summer to jump in slight shock, "Summer, you can't! It's too dangerous. I forbid you to go." The angered Husband demanded, this caused Summer to gain a slightly angered look.

"You're not the boss of me Tai! I can take care of myself." She inquired angrily.

"Mount Gleen is far too treacherous, What if you got killed? What about your daughters? Are you really going to risk it all for one village?" He said, which made Summer far angrier.

"So that means their lives don't matter?"

"Summer, that's not what I mea-"

"No! I have the chance to save more people from dying and I'm going to take it...Tai, I care so much about our family. More than you could even imagine. But if I can save people from death, then I will." Tai had a look of shock on his face, stunned by his wife, all he wants to do is protect her and his family.

"Honey... I-I'm sorry..." Tai said with his head down, "I just don't want anything to happen to you..." Summer walked over to Tai and put her arms around him, pulling him into a hug.

"I will never leave you." She says in a quiet voice.

(Timeskip, 1 hour.)

Summer arrived at the Grimm nest and was greeted by a small horde of Grimm that consisted of about 5 Beowolves 1 Alpha Wolf, 2 Ursa and a single Death Stalker.

"Wow, this is a small nest." She said with a smirk, the Alpha Wolf growled at Summer making the Beowolves charge at her, she dodged out of the Beowolves way by jumping high in the air, she did a backflip before landing, she pulled out her scythe and swung it at one of the Beowolves slicing it in half, she then moved back, dodging another attack, she swung her scythe into the air and brought it down of the Beowolf, killing it instantly. She looked at the other three but jumped high in the air dodging the Death Stalkers attack. She landed on top of the Death Stalker and dug her scythe into its brain area, killing it.

"Man you guys are terrible at attacking," she said with a hint of sass in her voice, she jumped off the Death Stalkers corpse and landed behind the three Beowolves, with one fatal swing she cut them all in half, Summer then felt strong vibrations in the ground, almost as if there was an earthquake. She looked at the trees in front of her just before they were ripped apart by the literal hundreds of Grimm that showed up.

Summer slowly began to back away from the Grimm horde, that was until an Alpha Beowolf had roared at her, she then quickly used her semblance and ran away from the Grimm, she kept running and running until she stopped in her tracks, in front of her were more Grimm, to her left and right were just more Grimm, Summer knew she couldn't run anymore, she then got in a stance and looked around at all the Grimm, a few Beowolves ran at her, making her dodge and swing at the Grimm killing them instantly, she then kept fighting more and more Grimm, until she began to feel weak, during her fight the Grimm had got hits on Summer, her body was covered in cuts, then a Beowolf was able to cut the back of Summers legs making her scream and drop to the floor, the Grimm surrounded her and began to claw at her... killing her.

Summer opened her eyes only to see herself in a dark ominous void, she turned around and was met with a light hooded man with big white feathered wings, the man looked at her and spoke in a deep monotone voice "Summer Rose?" He questioned.

"Yes...w-where am I?" She asked while looking around nervously, the unknown man walked around Summer and headed in a random direction, the man stopped and looked back at her, as he spoke in his deep monotone voice.

"Follow me please." she did as he said and walked toward him, they both began walking in a direction, the two strolled in pure silence until black smoke appeared in front of the two, making them stop in their tracks, once the smoke cleared up, Summer saw another cloaked figure, but this one was wearing a dark cloak which looked to be decaying, his hands were bone and in his right hand was a metal scythe.

"Brother... why have you come here?" The light hooded man spoke.

"I've grown bored of leading those evil doers to hell, they'll find their way there." the dark cloaked man spoke, his voice was deep and a tad bit demonic, the dark cloaked man walked over and stood on the other side of Summer, as she looked at both men, confused.

"Who are you two?" She questioned.

"We are those who bring life and death to Remnant, we are those who watch over everything...we are the embodiments of Life and Death." the dark cloaked man spoke, the two cloaked men began to walk again making Summer quickly catch up with them and slowly walked next to them.

"Where are you taking me?" She asked Death.

"To heaven." he stated, making Summer a bit sad knowing she won't see Ruby, Tai, Qrow, Yang or Raven again, they all walked in silence once again until Death spoke out.

"I'm sorry." he said, with a hint of sadness in his voice.

"Sorry for what?" She questioned.

"That I had to take you away from Remnant...from your family and friends," he answered.

"You have nothing to be sorry for...I understand that, we all die at some point, I just wish I was able to be there for my little Ruby's 5th birthday, she wanted a big cookie cake...I hope Tai is able to keep his side of the promise." she assured.

"What was your life like on Remnant?" the cloaked figure of Life asked her.

Summer began to tell both Life and Death about her childhood, her time at Beacon and even her family, as she kept bringing up more memories, Summer began to cry, as she cried Life and Death looked at each other and knew they were close to the gates of heaven, they both stopped walking and stood still, Summer walked for a bit longer until she noticed that Life and Death weren't there, she turned around and saw two men, both of them were wearing tuxedos, one was wearing black and the other was wearing white.

"U-Um... Life? Death? Is that you guys?" She asked the two men infront of her.

"Summer Rose...We hereby grant you, another chance at life." The two Gods said in unison, Summer reeled back in shock and looked at the two, surprised.

"W-What? Can you even do that?" She questioned

"Of course we can, we're Life and Death." Life says with a smile, before Life or Death could say anything else Summer appeared right in front of them and hugged them tightly.

"Thank you..." She sobbed, tears streaming down her face, the two brothers look at each other then down at the sobbing form of Summer, they both donned a soft smile and hugged her back. Summer stood back as her body began to fade away, the two brothers waved goodbye to her, as she fully disappeared.

Summer opened her eyes to see the light blue sky above her, the clouds moving slightly, she felt herself lying in the grass, the sound of birds chirping and the leaves shaking in the wind, Summer sat up and looked around, she saw that she was in the same location as her passing, she stood up and wiped the dirt off her clothes, but her attention was caught by a low growl, Summer looked around to see another big horde of Grimm, she looked for her weapon but it was nowhere to be seen, a Beowolf jumped towards her but it was impaled by a spear of light, out from the ground came more spears of light and some darkness, killing all the Grimm, she smiled knowing she was saved again, Summer reached for her scroll but couldn't find it, she was confused but didn't care, she could get another scroll, but her weapon, now that's a different story.

"Now how do I get home?" She wondered, she looked around and started walking in a random direction, until a bright shiny light appeared behind her, she turned around and walked to the bright ball, the ball began to float into the forest with her following behind it, during her walk, whenever a Grimm was spotted, it was immediately killed on site by dark spears from the ground, after what felt like hours of walking Summer arrived at the edge of Vale, the bright ball then disappeared from sight, Summer walked around Vale until she got to a landing pad, after waiting for a few minutes a Bullhead landed, she got on and the pilot looked back at her

"Where to Ma'am?" he asked.

"Patch, please." She says while sitting down.

"Alrighty, strap in and prepare for take off." He said

(Timeskip 1 hour)

The Bullhead had finally landed after a long ride, "Have a good day ma'am." the pilot said,

"You too." Summer responded, she then proceeded to step off the Bullhead, she hiked her way in the direction of her home, passing many people and home on her way, after a long walk she finally arrived at the STRQ household. She walked up the footpath and reached the door, she tried opening it but it was locked, she then knocked on the door and heard her husband from the other side

"Coming!" Tai yelled, she could hear his footsteps, he opened the door but was looking into the lounge

"Hang on sweetheart." he said to the person in the lounge room, Tai looked in front of him and gained a look of pure shock, seeing the one person he thought he wouldn't see ever again, he tried speaking but all that came out was pure nothing, tears began to drop from his eyes, he slowly reached towards his wife and felt her face.

"Are you okay Tai? You look like you've seen a ghost." she stated whilst giggling, Tai said nothing and began to cry, he reached forward and wrapped his wife in his arms, Tai began to sob into her shoulder, confusing Summer even more.

"Tai, sweetheart, why are you crying?" She questioned, but got no answer from him, a voice then questioned from the lounge

"Daddy, what's taking so long?" The voice questioned, around the corner came Summers daughter, Ruby Rose, Ruby began to tear up slightly, she ran to her mother and hugged her mother's leg

"Mommy, you came back!" Ruby cried out.

"Came back? I was only gone for a few hours, sweetie." Summer said, confused.

"Honey, you've been gone fo-" before Tai could finish his sentence, a small thud had caught their attention, Tai looked up and saw his other wife, Raven Branwen. Tai had let go of Summer letting her turn around only to be met with another hug from Raven herself, Summer was going to say something, but was stopped when she heard Raven crying in her ear, never in her life has she heard Raven cry.

"I thought I lost you..." Raven said in a weak voice, causing Summer to be even more confused than she already was.

"What are you guys talking about? I've only been gone for a few hours." She says while pushing everyone out of the hug so she could get a better look at them, they looked at her with a mixture of sadness and confusion.

"S-Summer, you've been missing for 3 months. We got a call from Oz saying that you hadn't returned from your mission, so I went to go find you. But... all I found was your broken scythe..." Raven stated with sadness.

"3 m-months, that's impossible." Summer said in disbelief.

(Transition to Life and Death)

(Transition back to family)

"What do you mean 'impossible'? What happened to you?" Tai questioned.

"I'll explain everything once Qrow and Yang get home." Summer responded.

(Timeskip to night time , after Summer explained everything to her family.)

After the family had heard Summers story, the had told her about all the things she had missed out on, they kept talking until they noticed it was getting late, after she was able to tuck Ruby and Yang into bed, she left their room and walked down the hall to hers, when she opened the door she saw Tai in the middle of the bed with Raven on his right, Summer changed into her pyjamas and turned the lights off, she went to close the curtains, but noticed two figures across the street, she recognised them as the two human men she saw before she was brought back to life, the man in the white tux was underneath the street light while the man in the black tux was next to him in the shadows, she waved to the men and they waved back, in a small flash two muscular men in golden armour with giant white wings showed up next to the two men in suits, the armoured men grabbed a hold onto both men and launched up into the sky, leaving Summer confused, she closed her curtains and got into bed with one thought on her mind.

'What happened to them' she wondered, and with that she fell asleep next to her wife and husband.
