Chapter 34

No One's Point Of View

Days past and Lucy was still asleep. Juvia woke up a day ago and has been healing just fine. No one has told her yet but the friend she was with that day was found dead in an alleyway. Almost everyone was fully healed. Kalmte stayed, working on paperwork while waiting for Lucy to wake up. She had sent some of her wizards to go look at the towns. Reports came in that all the buildings were burned down and male bodies were all in the area. Kalmte decided to close off all the towns while they investigate. No one went on jobs or even talked. They just sat there in silence, taking in everything that happened a few days and the new information. Natsu still couldn’t believe what Lucy had done. She had risked her life to keep him alive knowing what could happen. He was in the infirmary looking at Lucy. Natsu heard a groan. He looked up and saw that Lucy was stirring. Natsu sat down and watched as her eyes slowly opened. She looked around till her eyes landed on Natsu.

“Ho-how did I get here?” She stuttered.

“Kalmte was tracking you so she sent some of us to get you.” Lucy nodded and tried to sit up but gasped in pain. Natsu helped her sit up. He could easily see the pain in her eyes.

“Why haven’t I healed yet?” Lucy mumbled to herself. Natsu easily heard and pointed at the chains that were still on her wrist as he spoke,

“We couldn’t find a way to get those things off.” Lucy looked at her right wrist and moved the chain so she could see the lock. She placed her pointer finger on the lock and a click was heard. The chain opened and fell in her lap. She did the same to the left one and placed them on the table near her.

“How did you do that?”

“My magic, how I am able to form my sword or bow, I just formed a key and unlocked it.” Lucy rubbed her wrist. When she no longer heard anything from Natsu she looked at him and he was deep in thought.

“Natsu are you ok?” She questioned as she placed her hand on his shoulder.

“Why did you do it?” He asked quietly. She looked at him with confusion.

“What do you mean?”

“We heard your conservation with the demon. Why did you attach E.N.D.’s life to yours?” He said and looked at her.

“I did it cause well I knew how you would be if you lost your magic. I knew that you would not be the same. As for the other option, I didn’t want you to blame yourself in case E.N.D. took control and did something. I knew the risk that I was taking and I still did it.”

“But you could have died.” He said, his voice was raised a bit.

“But I didn't, I'm still here Natsu.” He was no longer looking at her.

“Natsu, look at me.” When he didn’t, she placed her hand on his cheek and made him look at her. She could see the tears in his eyes.

“I knew what could have happened. I did it because I love you, Natsu. I knew how you would have been if I did something different. I didn’t want you to be in pain.” Natsu put his forehead against hers and let his tears fall. She rubbed his back till his sobs stopped. He put his head in her neck, taking in her scent.

“Is Juvia ok?” She asked.

“She’s still healing but she can walk now.” He answered while looking at her.

“They also found her friend dead in an alleyway.” Lucy gasped. “And all the towns they had marked were burned down.”

“Did they do it at the same time?” He nodded.

“Did anything else happen?”

“No,” She pulled away from him and just took in all the information.

“Can you get Kalmte if she’s still here?” He nodded and left. Lucy blamed herself for what happened to those towns. She couldn’t help it. Soon the door opened and in came Kalmte. She closed the door behind her. Everyone else watched as Kalmte went in there. Everyone wanted to make sure that Lucy was ok when they heard that she asked to see Kalmte.

“You ok, Natsu?” Erza asked as she placed a hand on his shoulder.

“Yes, just worried.”

“We all are, we have no idea what is going to happen.” They all sat there waiting for Kalmte to walk out. Soon the door opened and out came Kalmte with Lucy behind her. Lucy knew that she shouldn’t be moving but after hearing what Fairy Tail did and everything that happened she had to talk to them. Kalmte helped her down the stairs. She sat at one of the seats at the bar and was taking deep breaths.

“I know you had watched what happened to me and was also told that I was lying to you guys, I was. I said that I didn't know things but I did. I felt it would be easier to not tell you everything but I was wrong. I’m sorry.” Lucy bowed her head and waited for the backlash. No one said anything, they were surprised that she was apologizing.

“Lucy, I don't think anyone is blaming you for lying. Can you now tell us everything and not lie about it?” Gramps said. Lucy looked at everyone in the guild and saw no anger or blame towards her. Lucy took a deep breath before speaking,

“As I said before about Gin, Grover, Nap, Daxx, and Misty all of that was true. Gin magic is to summon weapons and her magic allows her when she gets angry or crazy, it gives her a boost of strength or magic, I'm not really sure. Nap can summon demons from his book. I’m not sure how he was able to move demons that Zeref made or how they are still alive. He can also use their power, like how I used my Star dress, he is basically using their power. Grover uses element magic, he doesn't really have an important job in their group but I think he’s there because he showed it. Daxx, I don't know what magic he has exactly. All I do know is that he watches the targets and can disappear. Lastly is Misty, she is their sharpshooter. She can hit any target moving or not. She’s usually hiding somewhere, waiting for the signal to shoot. As for the leader, Dove. I still don't know anything about her. I haven't even seen her yet.”

“Alright, now why do they want you?” Erza asked.

“For my magic, they have a machine that drains my magic. Supposedly, they said that raw celestial magic is the strongest out there. I don't know what they plan on doing with it but they have about 8 canisters as big as a box.”

“How much magic is that?” Levy asked.

“If you put all the magic numbers of this guild together without Lucy that is how much magic it is,” Kalmte answered.

“But that’s so much.”

“It's two years of them draining her magic.”

“They have multiple bases around here. So far I have taken down 5 of them and there are at least three more. That's all the information that I have. You guys know everything else.”

“We heard that you have a plan, what is this plan?” Gramps asked.

“I have picked certain members to fight each person based on what I know about them from before I left. I'm not sure if they would need to be changed once I see how they are now.”

“Who would be fighting who, cause three of us already fought them?”

“For Daxx I think Gray would be the best.”

“But wouldn’t it be better that I fight Nap since I could use my demon slayer magic?”

“No, even if you use that magic the demons will still be there. He could just summon them back out. You just are wasting your magic, you won't be able to actually get a hit on him. As for Nap, I think Natsu would be the best. From the times I've been captured by them, he always talked about Zeref and his demons, mainly his strongest demons. He would be so focused on seeing the power of E.N.D. which will be the best time to get him off guard. He won't actually kill Natsu since as he put it ‘study’ the demon.”

“But if he wants to see the power of my demon, how would I be able to do that?” Natsu asked.

“By training, how it is with your demon is somewhat similar to Lucy and her other people. She worked with them to use their magic. You will have to work with him to be able to use his power which in return actually makes you stronger.” Kalmte said.

“For Grover, I think Wendy might be good but I'm still debating it. When he uses his elemental magic his eyes change and he could only use one element at a time. For now, Wendy might be a good choice until I change it. When I was picking Gin’s, I was stuck but I think Gajeel might be the best choice for it. He might last longer than the rest of the guild if they were to fight her. With that being said she’ll start to get made which makes her go crazy, we can use that to our advantage cause she’ll make more mistakes. Making it easier to take down. Misty being the last one, I think Erza would be the best. Most of Erza’s moves how to do up close and Misty isn’t good with up-close fights.”

“So we got each of the members dealt with, what about Dove?” Mira asked.

“Since we don't know much about her, I think it would be best that I fight her.”

“What, why you?” Natsu asked.

“Remember, Lucy has two other people in her body. If one goes down there is another person to take over. With that being said, if Celie takes over we won't know who will win.” Kalmte butted in.

“What do you mean?” Gramps asked.

“Celie when her instincts take over she’s actually stronger but that will only help if the seal is taken off,” Kalmte explained.

“If it makes you guys feel better, once you finish your fight you can come and help me,” Lucy said.

“What about the rest of us guild members?” Juvia asked.

“We will be splitting you guys into groups with some of my solo wizards. One will protect this town while the other groups will head to the other bases. The main group along with a couple of other wizards will be heading to the main base.”

“So when do we fight these guys?” Natsu said standing up.

“Well, the Grand Magic Games will be coming up soon so I would say do it afterward. Would that be alright with you Master, you will have 3 months till the GMG and maybe a month afterward before we attack?” Lucy asked.

“Why not do it earlier?”

“It gives you guys enough time to train while I ask my wizards if they want to join. Since most of them are on jobs it will take some time to get them ready. We also don't know what all the bases look like. We can take that time to get the layout.” Kalmte said.

“But won't they use the GMG to get an idea of how strong we are?” Laxus asked.

“No, I’ve been to the GMG and they never came. I think that they don’t want to be spotted cause well, there are a whole bunch of guilds together and almost everyone is there. Right now, they are trying to keep themselves on the down-low.”

“They are also going off from what they knew two years ago,” Kalmte said.

“You said that they were watching us so if someone is watching us then why haven’t learned anything new about us?” Levy questioned.

“We have someone on the inside. They messed up the information that is being passed to the group.” Kalmte said.

“Master Makarov, the final decision is up to you. We attack before the GMG or after.” Gramps put his hand on his chin and thought about it. If we attack before, we won’t know much and we won’t have enough time to train but if they know that we plan to attack then it gives them less time to prepare. Also, they will no longer be a problem. If we wait till after then we will have more information and training, which means fewer people hurt. It might give them time to prepare but I know that we can win. He thought. When he finally decided he wasn’t sure if he was making the right choice. He looked at the guild, his eyes landed on Lucy first. She had suffered the most out of all his children. His eyes went to the other members and they stopped on Storm. He was only a baby and he was already attacked by them once. It was a good thing that they got him back and that Juvia wasn’t hurt too bad. When they did a full look over her, her body was just covered in bruises, a few cuts here and there but nothing too bad.

“After the GMG.” He said. Kalmte smiled at him before looking at Lucy and at the guild.

“Now that it is decided I must head back and start making preparations. I suggest that you start training as soon as possible. I also wish you luck in winning the Grand Magic Games.” Kalmte said before walking over to Makarov and speaking with him. Everyone else was speaking with each other. Erza, Natsu, Gray, and Wendy walked over to Lucy.

“How much longer till your healed?” Erza asked.

“Maybe a day or so, why?”

“Well, maybe it would be a good idea for all of us to train together. You also know how they fight too so you could give us some pointers.”

“I’m fine with that.” They all nodded. They knew what was at stake if they didn’t win. Soon Kalmte said goodbye and left. Everyone was talking among themselves. Lucy was still at the bar. She was lost in thought when a small bowl of strawberries was placed in front of her. She looked at you and Mira smiled at her.

“Mira, you shouldn’t have,” Lucy said as she was about to give them back Mira said,

“Eat them, you aren't gonna heal faster on an empty stomach.”

“Mira, I'm fine.”

“Fine then but they are just gonna be thrown away since they will be going bad soon.”

“Fine, I’ll eat them.” Lucy eventually gave in. Mira smiled before attending someone else. Lucy took a bite out of a strawberry. She knew that it was going to affect her later but didn’t care. She knew that she had a bad habit and tried to break it multiple times but it was hard. She could feel the thoughts try to come forward but she pushed them back. As she ate another strawberry her stomach started to hurt. She was only able to eat four strawberries before she would start to feel sick. She put her head on her arms and took deep breaths. She felt a hand on her back, it rubbed her back as the person as next to her. She knew it was Natsu just by the body heat he was giving off. He put his arm around her and she leaned into him. She soon fell asleep.

Mira came back once she was done and looked at the cute couple. Natsu had his arm around her. Lucy was leaning into Natsu and was asleep. Natsu had his head on top of Lucy’s head and was asleep too. Mira pulled out a camera and took a quick picture of them. She squealed quietly before walking off leaving the two to sleep.

I believe this is the half way point. I still don't know if it is.
