Chapter 30
No One’s Point Of View
After the four people left the buildings and head back to the base, things slowly turn. Who knows if it was for the worst or better.
Lucy sat up and looked around. It was morning and she was back in her hotel room. Neither Natsu nor Happy were in the room. She stood off the bed and the feeling of being sore hit her full force.
“Damnit, Celie,” Lucy mumbled to herself. She stretched her arms above her head and heard some things pop or crack. She walked to the bathroom and took a quick shower. She came out in a towel and grabbed some clothes from her bag. She quickly dresses in them before heading out. She pulled her hood up as went down the stairs. She walked past the front desk and out the doors. The guy at the desk tried saying anything but she was gone before he could. As she walked through the town she could see people shaking in fear, mumbling between themselves, and stopping whatever they were doing till she passed. She walked into the forest. As she walked, she walked over twigs, logs, and every now and then climbed over trees. Lucy knew where she was heading and it was going to be a pain in the ass if someone else came along. Once she started seeing the little slashes on the trees, she slowed her walk and became cautious. She hide behind a tree when she heard voices. As soon as they passed, she climbed a tree and looked around. Two men at the doors, and four walking around. She thought. She climbed down and went to where she heard the voices go. She followed the two guys for a bit till she knew that they were far away from the guys at the door and the other two weren’t near. She summoned her sword and walked up to them. She pulled her sword back and slash at their backs. She immediately stabbed them so they wouldn't scream. She pulled her sword back and whipped it to the side, ridding it of the blood. She put her sword on the ground and dragged the bodies and hid them. She walked back to the building and started to walk around, using the trees to hide her. She heard twigs snapping to her right so she climbed a tree and waited. Two boys walked out, no older than 16. She felt sorry for them, all they knew was what they were taught. She didn't want to do what she needed to do but she had so she wouldn't get caught and have her whole plan fail. She waited till they were below her and she hit them both with the handle of her sword, knocking them out. She jumped down, hid the bodies, and went closer to the building. She stepped on a twig making her stop.
“Did you hear that?” The guard on the left asked.
“No.” The guy on the right answered back. Lucy started walking again, using the forest to her average. She picked up a heavy branch and threw it, making it hit a tree a couple of feet away from her with a thud. Both guards heard this and the guard on the right went to investigate while the guard on the left kept watch. Lucy took that as her shoot. When the guard was out of the other guard’s sight so slashed him and walked back over to the other guard. She heard him call for his friend but got no answer in return. When he started walking in the direction his friend went she took her shot. She summoned her bow and pulled back the string. An arrow started to form. She aimed and fired. She ran to the doors not even looking at the guard as his body hit the ground. She slipped through the door without a sound, it was dimly lit. She took a left and went down a flight of stairs. She was cautious, listening for any sound, and focusing her magic past her boots and into the ground. She reached the first floor and started to go down the hallway instead of going lower. She checked every door and hallway for anything and anyone. She killed any guards that she came across but only knocked out the young ones. She felt wrong to kill them since they did nothing wrong in all this. She did feel bad for some of the people she killed cause not all of them were there willingly. After the first floor was clear she continued down. By the time she reached the third floor and open the last door she got to where she needed. As she stood in the doorway, you could see over her shoulder iron bars going as far as the eye can see.

After the fourth council spoke with the guild, everyone was waiting in the dining hall for their master to return. Natsu was getting bored so he decided to go up to his room and bother Lucy. when he reached his room, he could no longer smell that Lucy was in the room. He opened the door and saw no one. He could smell that it's been a while since she’s been here. He saw her clothes from yesterday thrown on the floor. He wanted to follow her scent but they all had to wait for Gramps to get back. He didn't know if she went to the council or was just around town. He went back downstairs and sat at one of the tables with all his friends.
“Did Lucy kick you out of your room already?” Erza asked.
“No, she’s not there.” He responded back.
“What do you mean she’s not there?” Levy asked once hearing that her friend wasn’t here.
“She wasn’t in the room and her scent is somewhat faded so she’s been gone a while.”
“Where do you think she went?”
“Who knows, she is very secretive,” Juvia said.
“Yea,” Wendy said. She looked at Carla and she could see that she was staring off into space.
“You ok, Carla?” Wendy asked.
“Just thinking.” She responded.
“Bout what?”
“Everything Lucy told us so far. I still believe there’s more.”
“What makes you say that?” Levy asked.
“Yesterday, Kalmte looked like she wanted to say something else. She also kept looking at Celie or Lucy. The way Celie spoke yesterday too, you could tell that she was keeping something.”
“But she told us a lot of things yesterday.”
“Yea but it had nothing to do with Dark Night which is why we went there to talk bout.”
“True,” Erza said. Soon the conservation ended and everyone was talking bout something else. Soon the master came back and announced that they will be leaving later today but something was on the master’s mind. Something that was said at the meeting.

Lucy pulled or dragged the dead or unconscious bodies out of the building. The council’s guards were already there taking them back to the Council Hall. All the women and children were already gone and were on their way to somewhere else. Once the last body was out and away and she flicked a match into the building. It immediately caught fire. She pulled her hood up and stood there for a few minutes. She didn't want to burn the building, it might help her with Dark Night but she needed to destroy whatever they were doing in there. What if a group of people go in there and find out what was going on, they would go tell people and cause a pandemic. Which is what she doesn’t need right now. She could hear the floors below ground collapsing. An explosion happened nearly knocking Lucy off her feet. Now she knew that everything was gone and that she finished her job. The sky started to darken and she started her walk to the town. It was half an hour walk. Before she reached the town she changed her clothes so no blood was seen. She had Virgo take the clothes back with her to the celestial realm. By the time she reached the hotel, she saw that her guild was getting ready to leave. She went up to her room and saw Natsu throwing his stuff into his bag.
“We’re leaving?” She asked as she entered the room.
“Yea, where were you?”
“I was writing up some reports from some jobs I did a while back.” She responded back as she picked up her dirty clothes off the floor. She threw them into her bag and made sure that nothing was left.
“Come on guys, we’re leaving,” Erza shouted. The two walked out of the room and downstairs. Almost the whole guild was there. People asked where Lucy was and she gave the same response she gave Natsu. She couldn’t tell them what she did, one they would be mad that she did that alone and two she didn't know what they would think bout her after they hear that she killed someone, multi people. Once everyone was ready to leave, they all walked to the train station and got on the next train. She made sure to give motion sickness patches to the slayers before getting on. Everyone was in the same compartments as before. She leaned her head against the window as she watched the sensory go by. Natsu passed out on the bench. She knew that keeping more things from her friends was wrong but couldn’t help it. Half of the things she’s done would just disgust someone who only heard or seen it. If she told them, she wouldn’t be ready to deal with their reaction. An hour later they pulled up to Magnolia’s station, everyone got off and made sure they had everything with them.
“How bout tomorrow we go on a job?” Erza suggested to the group.
“Sure.” Gray and Wendy responded. Lucy nodded while Natsu threw his fist in the air and agreed. They all said their goodbyes and went their separate directions. The trio walked through the town, enjoying the silence. As they reached their home, Natsu stopped and looked around.
“You ok, Natzu?” Happy asked.
“No, thought I heard something.” Lucy unlocked the door and walked in. Natsu closed the door and looked into the house. Lucy dropped her bag on the couch and turned to Natsu when she heard him say, “damnit.”
“What's wrong?”
“Someone was in the house.”
“What?”
“Yea, and it was Gin.”
“Are you sure?” Lucy asked in shock,
“Yea, her scent is all over the place.”
“As if she was looking for something,” Lucy said, finishing his thought. Lucy was shocked, Gin or Dark Night won't do something like this. Even if so what are they looking for, she had no clue. Natsu walked over to the door and opened it. The boxes were everywhere. The things inside were all over the floor. Books laid on the ground, photos either ripped or crankled, clothes laying around and some glasses objects broken. Natsu walked out and went upstairs while Lucy just stared at the mess. One thing stood out the most from the rest. It was a small chest, opened and the papers that were once folded were open and laying all around the box. Lucy could feel the tears threatening to fall. The chest that held her mother’s letters. Lucy for some reason felt violated like her whole life was just broken into. She walked over to the chest and kneed down. She refolded the letters and placed them back in but one paper stood out from the rest. She picked it up and read the date. It was the last letter she wrote before leaving. She looked at the writing and she could tell that her hand was shaking the day she wrote it. Tear stains were seen on the paper. She thought back to that day and remembered how she used to be. She’s a different girl from then. She placed the letters back into the chest and set it upright. She stood up and looked around the room. She shook her head and walked out of the room. This is what Gin wants. She closed the door behind her as Natsu walked down the stairs.
“The rest of the house is fine, nothing else is trashed.” He said. Lucy said nothing.
“You ok, Luce?” Lucy still said nothing but walked to Natsu. She wrapped her arms around his waist and put her face against his chest.
“I don’t want to worry bout this now, can we just go to bed?” He heard say.
“Sure.” They broke apart, headed upstairs and into their room. They both changed, Natsu kept looking at Luce. He could tell that something was wrong but didn’t know what. They both got into bed and Natsu pulled Lucy to him. They both fell asleep and for once in two years did Lucy actually sleep without nightmares.
