Natsu's Point Of View

When I felt myself wake up, my face was pushed into the pillow. I lifted my head and saw the sunlight go in my eye from the open window. I put my face back into the pillow, ready to go back to sleep. 

“Natsu, wake up.” I hear Luce say. I respond with a groan. I could hear her giggle. I hear her footsteps walk closer to me. I feel weight next to me. I peek and saw that she was sitting on the edge of the bed looking at me. I flipped myself over so I was on my back.

“I wanna go back to sleep,” I said and closed my eyes. I could hear her shift and I felt something against my lips. She was kissing me. I immediately kissed her back. She pulled away but was still close.

“Now will you get up?” I responded with a maybe before putting my hand on the back of her head and pulled her close again. We soon pulled apart to a very loud knocking.

“Natsu, Lucy hurry up, Gramps want you guys to eat before we head over to the council.” We hear Erza shout. I groan as Luce shouts back ok. She stood up as I sat up. I could see what she was wearing. It was a long sleeve black shirt with a skirt and a different cloak. It was full black but it had maybe a shade or two lighter of a symbol. It looked like something with the council or Fiore. She walked over to my bag and pulled out another black vest with one sleeve missing and white pants. She threw them at me. I stood up, ready to change into the clothes when she stopped me.

“Go take a shower.”

“What, why?”

“I'm not in the mood to deal with a stinky Natsu."

“When am I stinky?” 

“Just go take a shower.'' I just accepted the defeat and went into the bathroom. Not in the mood to deal with angry Lucy. I took a quick shower and turned up my body heat to dry myself faster. I slipped on the clothes and walked out. I put on my shoes and we head out. We walked downstairs and into the dining area. Bout half of the guild was there. I went over to the food while Lucy went to our friends. I grabbed her plate and went over to them. I started stuffing my face as someone asked,

“So who’s going to meet 4th council member?”

“Well, Gramps wanted a small group. Team Natsu is going since we have been more involved, Lucy going because she works for them, and Levy’s going cause she wants to go through any files or papers they have on Dark Night.”

“So bout eight people.” 

“Yup, as soon you guys are done we can head over.” I continued eating while Lucy took a few bites from her food. I noticed ever since she got back that she doesn't really eat much or sleep much too. After a few minutes, we let Gramps know that we were ready to leave. Our hotel was at the beginning of town so we walked through the town. As we walked, we noticed that some of the townspeople were looking at us with fear.

“I wonder what they are scared of?” Wendy said. We all nodded in agreement.

“Lucy, why is your hood up?” I heard Gramps ask. We all look at her and see that her hood was up. 

“Whenever I come here I have my hood up, I don't see a problem in it.” I could hear some coldness in her voice. 

“Are they scared of you?” Levy asked. It was silent for a minute before she answered.

“Yes, now drop it.” we were shocked. Lucy had a town scared of her and this town had the council in it. Now I wonder what she did to get so many people scared. We were silent for the rest of the walk. Everyone we crossed stopped or got out of our way. When we reached the council hall there were only two guards in front of the building which was at the door. We walked up, bout to enter when the guards put their spears in front of it, stopping us.

“You are not allowed to enter. You must have an appointment, even if so you are not allowed in if you are a part of a guild.” The guard on the right said. I could hear a snicker behind me.

“We have a very important meeting with the 4th council member and-.” Gramps didn't even finish his sentence.

“But you are a guild master if I'm correct. This meeting can wait until she calls all the guild masters to talk with.” We all felt a rush of wind. A golden sword appeared next to the guy’s head. Lucy pushed past us and up to the guy. She grabbed him by his shirt and pulled him down to her level.

“Let us through, I'm tired of all the bullshit you make people go through just to get through the damn door.”

“Yes, Miss Heartfilia.” He said and they both pulled their spears away from the door.

“Also next time, I’ll make sure I don't miss.” She said before letting the guy go. We were all shocked. We never saw this side of Lucy. We walked in, the lady at the front desk started to say something but once she saw Lucy she shut her mouth and put her down. We walked past her and started up the stairs. We followed Lucy since she knew where we were supposed to go. We only made it halfway when someone started speaking.

“Well, its blondie. I wonder how many towns got destroyed now.” A lady said. She was on the flight of stairs that went to the next floor. Lucy stopped and I could see her body shake of anger. After a few minutes, Lucy looked like she calmed down and continued. The lady walked to the top of the staircase we were going up.

“What, now you're ignoring me. No matter how many towns got destroyed, all their blood is on your hands.” She kept saying shit and I was ready to say something back but Erza put a hand on my shoulder to stop me. We barely made it past her she said,

“Are now barely bringing your so-called family into your problems. All you are doing is bring them to their death.” This made Lucy stop. She turned around so quickly that her hood fell off and you could only see anger on her face.

“You know she’s right. That's all you ever do, bring people to their death.” An all too familiar voice said. We all turned around and saw Amelia standing next to the lady, she had a cigarette in her hand.

“I advise you to shut your mouth. At least I didn't burn my whole town down to ashes all because someone didn't want to marry you.” The lady’s smirk disappeared and anger replaced it. She walked up to Lucy, there was a clear height difference.

“I would say the same to you too, slut.”

“I'm no slut unlike you. You only wanted the guy cause he had something. I wonder was it his personality that you want since yours is no good. Oh wait I know what you wanted, it was his money.” After Lucy said that the lady’s face went red with anger and Lucy had a smirk on her face.

“Says the one that nearly lost it all. Remember Lucy, you were close to the edge. If it wasn't for 4th council member you would’ve been 6 feet underground.” Amelia said walking up to them. The smirk on Lucy's face disappeared.

“That's enough ladies. Amelia, Mila you have a job to complete. Lucy, I want to speak with you in my office.” Amelia and Mila started to go down the stairs while Lucy started walking again. We were bout to follow her when Mila shouted,

“Your lucky, Heartfilia. If it wasn't for 4th council member that day then you would have killed yourself. That would be much better for everyone.” This made Lucy stop. The 4th council member noticed that Lucy stopped and went to her, not even saying anything to Mila. She was bout to put her hand on Lucy when Lucy smacked her hand away.

“Don't touch me,” Lucy said coldly. 

“Lucy,-.”

“Leave me alone.” Lucy started to walk off at a quick pace. 4th councilmember Lucy’s name but there was no answer. She turned to us.

“I'm sorry for what you had to witness. Um, follow me so we can talk bout what just happened and what we need to talk bout.” She started walking and we followed her. I couldn't get out of my mind the hurt in Lucy’s eyes after Mila said that. We passed bout 6 door till we got to the 7th one. She opened and walked in. The room wasn't that big but not to small either. It had a couch against the wall to the left. In the center of the room was a table that was filled with papers. On the wall to the right had a hologram that had different things on it. Some were jobs and others were reports. At the back wall was a desk filled with stacks of paper.

“Sorry if the room is a mess. I didn't have time to clean up or organize my papers yet.”

“It's fine,” Gramps said.

“You know that I'm truly sorry for what you witnessed on the stairs. I will let their council members know what happened.”

“You did nothing wrong, would you just explain to us why they were at each other's throats.”

“Well, you already know that Lucy is one of mine solo wizards so basically anything happens or anything on jobs she comes to me. Well, Mila is our 2 Wizard Saint and Amelia is another solo wizard to another council member. Anyways, we offered Lucy bout a year ago to become one of our Wizards Saints but she declined. I never understood why Mila was always mean to Lucy but I think I have an idea. She’s mad cause Lucy suddenly came here and she easily got stuff while everyone else worked hard to be where they were.” She explained as she cleaned up a bit.

“So things were just handed to Lucy?” Erza asked.

“Everyone outside, yes but if you truly knew what was going on you could see that Lucy worked her butt off to be where she is now. Lucy takes jobs that no other wizard would take. The really hard and dangerous ones, the jobs that had or will get our wizards killed. While she was moving around which was once a month, I would call her and see where she was at. I would look at jobs in that area and give her the deadliest and she did them but we would keep it a secret so it wouldn't give Lucy’s position to Dark Night. The only people that knew she did the jobs were me, my secretary, and the other council members.”

“I would be mad if it looked like all the things I worked for was just given to a person who looked like they did nothing,” Gray said.

“But why was Amelia like that?” Levy asked.

“I honestly don't know. They went on jobs together before but this was the first time that this happened. Something must have happened in their last job.”  Kalmte mumbled the last part. We didn't tell her that we knew why.

“There’s one thing I'm confused bout, why did she mean when she said that Lucy would kill herself?” Gramps asked. That question made Kalmet stop what she was doing.

“She didn't tell you guys yet?”

“No, not that I know of yet,” Wendy said. I knew what Mila said. I knew what happened, I wanted to tell them but it wasn't my place.

“Natzu, do you know anything?” Happy asked with worry in his voice.

“Yea, Lucy told me but I can't say anything, it's not my place,” I said, I couldn't look at them. I knew that they were shocked.

“I will tell you,” Kalmte said, shattering the silence.

“Do you guys know bout the person that was killed, the one that was like a second mother to Lucy?” They nodded.

“Well, when she died Lucy told me that she felt a part of herself die with her. She went into this dark mood and I could tell when I found her that she was on the edge. It was raining and she was sitting on a bridge in town. Me and Lerenzo, my secretary, were heading back here and we saw her. I just looked at her eyes and I saw nothing, no emotion, just nothingness. I sat there next to her and rubbed her shoulder and she broke down. After a while, she stopped crying and helped back here. We helped her. We tried to get back to what she used to be but I knew that wasn't going to happen but I would at least try. After maybe a month, I don't remember, she finally told us what happened. She told us how she left you guys and then what happened to that person. It took some time but we were able to get her out of that hole she was in.” 

I could see all the shock on their faces. They never thought that something like that would happen to Lucy. The thing was that they thought that Lucy was still the same old Lucy from before. They can't see that she changed. I was the same though but I’m slowly seeing the changes from the now Lucy and the old Lucy. I wish she didn't change but you don't always get what you wish you. Every now and then I could see the pain in her eyes which means that she’s still going through it but at least she told me and I can help her so she won't have to go through this alone.

“It's been bout 2 years so she has gotten better.” No one was able to say anything because the door opened. I wasn't surprised by who came through the door, it was just the way they were acting.
