Kongpob cleaned the cuts on his arms and applied ointment. Wrapping a bandage around it, he wrapped a plastic around the injured area to secure the bandage from getting wet.

Kongpob was now ready to have a long good hot shower before going to bed & may be a soak in the bathtub too . There was one single problem - The merman hogging his bath tub. Arthit. Was that his name ?

Kongpob walked in to bathroom, Arthit was sprawled in the bathtub, his head laying on edge, eyes half closed, while his tail laid outside the tub, moving slightly.

" Merman - "

No answer.

" Arthit ! " Arthit's tail rose up as if greeting Kongpob.  Kongpob jumped back. Bloody fucking tail has already given him four gashes ! Kongpob heard someone snickering , he jerked his head to find out it was the merman. So he was being played.

" Had fun? " Kongpob snarked, jumping one foot back when Arthit's tail stretched towards him.

Arthit chuckled. This human is scaredy cat 😁😆
  " Don't be afraid, Human. You want to touch it ? "

" No " Kongpob threw a suspicious look at his tail.

" It's harmless human. " Arthit said gently, trying to soothe the afraid man.

" Yeah, that's why it gave me four cuts " Kongpob retorted looking at his injured arm.

Arthit's expression fell " I didn't mean it to happen. "

" But, you did it anyways. "

" Arthit Apologizes human "

" Kongpob..."

" ? "

" Kongpob, my name "

Arthit smiled " Nice name , human "

" Kongpob " Kongpob said sternly.

" I know. Nice name . " Arthit smiled " I have never heard a name like this in sea. "

" Call me Kongpob. " Kongpob insisted.

Arthit nodded his head " Okay human. "

Kongpob clenched his fist , no point in arguing with the merman. Better state his business and get over with it.

" I need to shower "

" What is shower ? "

" Bath. I need to bath. " Kongpob explained.

" You want me to help you in bathing, human ? "

" No " Kongpob almost shouted, his voice high pitched. " I need you to go out of this bathroom for some time. So I can shower in peace"

Arthit frowned " But, I need this pond. I can't live long without water. "

" And I can't shower while you are in here"

" Why ? "

" What why ? How can I shower while you are in  here ?  "

Wriggling sideways, Arthit made space for Kongpob " I can share my pond with you human. See, you can bath now. We can play too. I always played with my friends at home. " I miss them 🙁🙁😓

Kongpob scowled staring at the space in bathtub, Arthit's face fell
" you don't want to play ? "

Kongpob didn't reply " It's okay. You can just bath. " Scowl on Kongpob's face still didn't fade .

" You want bigger space ? I can give you more space but I can't go out of water, human. " Arthit pouted, all his negotiations with this human were failing. Here, he thought this human will play with him.

Kongpob sighed. " Humans don't bath with each other Arthit. And they do not play while taking a bath. I'm talking about taking a shower, there " Kongpob pointed at the shower stall . " That is shower"

" But there is no water ? Does humans not need water for bathing ? " Arthit mused. Chuckling Kongpob stood up, walking up to the shower stall he turned the knob and stood aside. Arthit was amazed seeing jets of water falling down from small steel object.

" Waterfall" Arthit clapped his hand. "You have a waterfall in your home. I've never seen one before this. I've heard they are beautiful. "

" This is not waterfall. " Kongpob explained " This is called shower. "

" Don't you play under shower human ? " Arthit asked.

" Kongpob." Kongpob scowled "How many times do I have to tell you to call me Kongpob? "

" Kongpob, do you not play under the waterfall. Not even with your mate ? " Arthit asked curiously, he had his elbows placed on edge of bathtub and his face cased in his palms when he curiously watched the waterfall. Does Kongpob have a mountain over his house ? Or did humans make waterfall like the pond he was in ?

" That's a different kind of play. " Kongpob answered , a faint blush rising in his cheeks.

"Can you teach me that game ? I like learning new games. I will teach you our mer games. Then we can play together 🤗. " Arthit pleaded, excited to play under shower.

Kongpob sputtered, almost choking on nothing. This merman will be his death 🤦
" No. I can't teach you."

" Please. I promise, I will learn quickly.  " Arthit whined.

" No. "

" But, I never played under a waterfall. " Arthit pouted.

" You don't need to play. You are grown up . " Kongpob retorted.

" But I get bored here. I'm alone. No one is here to play with me 😩"

" Then go back to sea.

Corner of Arthit's lips turned down. He looked at Kongpob, his eyes shining with hurt and pain. Without saying anything, he slouched down in bathtub, submerging his face under the water, his tail over his head, covering his face. He can't go back to sea. Not until his magic come back. He is as good as useless right now. He is alone here with this human. No one to play with. He missed his family 😭.

Kongpob's shoulders slouched in defeat. Even merman's tail turned ashy gray. He was feeling bad about yelling at Arthit.  Seriously! He was getting manipulated by a talking fish 🤔. Kongpob heaved a deep sigh "Tomorrow, I will bring you some toys to play with. "

Arthit bounced up, sitting excitedly " you will bring friends to play with ? Do they know shower game ?Can they teach me ? Are they human, like you ? "

Weren't he sad just a moment ago ?
" Toys can't talk Arthit " Kongpob cleared, lest this merman will throw a tantrum when Kong will bring toys.

Arthit crossed his arms over his chest, puffing his cheeks and huffing like an insolent child. " Then, I don't want them. "

" High maintenance, aren't you ? Do you want a talking toy ? " Kongpob asked.

" Yes. My brother told me there are talking bird on lands. Do you know them Kongpob ? Can you ask them to play with me ? "

" There's no talking bird Arthit. "

" There is " Arthit insisted. " They are green and red and yellow, my Phi told me. He doesn't lie. "

" You mean parrot ? "

Arthit frowned " I don't know it's name "

" Fine. I will bring you one tomorrow. Happy ? "

Arthit nodded. " Thank you human."

" Kongpob. Now close your eyes and don't open them until I tell you. "

" Why ? "

" I want to take a shower. "

" Why should I close my eyes then ? I am far away from shower wateefall. Water will not go in my eyes " Arthit frowned, pondering over the reason.

Kongpob flexed his fingers , closing and opening them in to a fist . He doesn't know what to do with this creature, only thing he could think of right now is to pull his own hairs. " Arthit. It's not to prevent from water getting in to your eyes. Humans take shower alone. We don't look at others taking a shower. It's rude. "

" Okay, Kongpob " Arthit nodded " I will close my eyes. I am not rude. "

Kongpob nodded. If not for his aversion at sleeping without a shower , he would have skipped a shower and directly jump on the bed.. Every muscle of his body ached, he was tired down to bones. He needed a shower ,right now.

Kongpob double checked at the merman who indeed has his eyes closed. Kongpob shed his clothes in a hurry, desperate to get over the ordeal of shower as soon as possible.

Arthit had his eyes closed, he heard the sound of waterfall. How lucky! These humans. They have person waterfalls.

How stingy is Kongpob 😒? He took all the waterfall to himself , can't he share ? Like Arthit was ready to share his pond with him. And this human also didn't want to teach him the games they play under waterfall. Stingy Kongpob human 😣.

What will Arthit tell other mers when he returns? He needs new stories to tell. Every mer-prince and other adults have excited stories to tell about humans and the world outside the sea. That's how merman get know about outside world. More interesting stories you tell, more you get respected.

What if Arthit doesn't have anything exciting to tell his junior mers ? He will loose his reputation of being one of the wisest and knowledgeable young merman. His juniors will mock him🙁.

If only this human would teach him the games. Atleast he knows human have personal ponds and waterfalls that they can use anytime. But it is not enough, he needs more. Should he see how humans use shower waterfall ? It will be new information. Mers doesn't know about this. 

But Kongpob said humans does not look at others while they bath , it is rude. And he is not rude. He is polite, mer-prince. But, he needs to do his research on land life and gather information 😔. How can he gather more information, without being rude?

A thought clicked in his brain. He is not human. He is a merman. He can look, it would not be rude, right 🙃?

Right.

Genius Arthit. 😎.  He patted his own back.

Arthit opened his eyes, human had something white on his skin, like foam on the surface of sea. Amazing, these humans. They can even create sea foam ! Can we use sea foam to clean ? Mer people don't use them, still they are clean. How? 🤔Arthit watched with keen interest, how Kongpob rubbed his hands all over his body. From head to toe. Scrubbing his body with something. That looks painful. Mers can't do that. Their scales will fall off.

Interestingly, Humans didn't look much different, just lower half was different. Instead of one long appendage they had two seperate ones sans the flaring tail. They had feet instead of flared tail.
Hmm. Interesting.

But, they didn't have bright scales, their skin looked a smooth and even. This particular human had bronze skin. He looked thin but shapely though shape was weird to Arthit. Like car ed little mermaid goddess statue they had in their temple. Her human legs also had same shape just like Kongpob.

Arthit frowned just realising that there is no waterfall! This human lied? They do not bath under waterfall ? As of on cue, Kongpob turned the knob  
Arthit clapped his hands in excitement when Kongpob turned the knob and water suddenly started falling down on his body, washing down the foam.

Startled, Kongpob spun around, snapping his eyes open in shock at the source of sound. " Ugh..." He winced, rubbing his eyes as shampoo foam got in to his eyes. " I told you to keep your eyes close. " Kongpob shouted in annoyance, his eyes stang from shampoo and mind from embarrassment of being stared at.

" But, I'm not human. It is not rude for me to stare , right ? " Arthit reasoned, still watching the foam being washed from Kongpob's body.

" It is rude for anybody to watch while some one is showering. " Kongpob chided.

" I'm sorry Kongpob. " Arthit pouted " I was just observing you for research purposes. I need to exciting stories about humans. "

"Alright. Whatever. Close your eyes right now. " Kongpob demanded.

Arthit closed his eyes without arguing. " I'm sorry, Kongpob. "

" It's okay. Don't do this again. "

Arthit nodded, his eyes still closed. Eyeing him suspiciously Kongpob finished washing & grabbed a towel. Hurriedly, wrapping it around his waist.

" Kongpob " Arthit called his attention.

" Yes "

"What is that thing dangling between your leg? "

" What the **** ? " Kongpob cursed "You opened your eyes again. "

" No Kongpob. See, I have them closed. "

" Don't lie, Arthit! " Kongpob chided "How did you see then ? "

" I can see with my eyes closed" Arthit replied innocently.

" ....! 🤐..."

Ten seconds of dangerous silence.

" Point was not to look, Arthit 😤" Kongpob erupted in anger.

" But ,you said to close my eyes. I did that . Why are you still angry ? ☹️🤔😣"

"....! ....." 😡😤

" Kongpob, please tell me what was that ? It's a new information. I need to tell my junior mers. " 🙃🤗😗

Kongpob ignored Arthit.

" Pretty please 🙏. Tell me. I need to  tell my junior. My reputation is in danger Kongpob 😭. Please....🤗" Arthit pleaded, his tail excitedly thumping on tiles of bathroom.

😬😬😬 " Good night , Arthit "

Kongpob scampered out of bathroom as fast he can.  Closed the bathroom door, he ran straight in to his room & fall face first on bed.

He could still listen Arthit whining & pleading " Please human... I need to know about that thing. Tell me. " Kongpob pressed a pillow over his ears and closed his eyes shut, trying to ignore whining of merman.

Fuck his life !!!😞😖😩
