Kongpob returned with the plates full of scrumptious meal, its aroma wafting in the air had Kit's mouth watering.

" It smells divine, human" Arthit commented.

" Food...peanut" Bright bird yelled.

"Yeah. I have your peanut, okay...give me a second. " Kongpob said placating the bird. Arranging the plates in a low coffee table, Kongpob brought assortment of nuts for the bird.

" Here, Bright bird" he put the bowl at another low stool he had brought in earlier.

The bird happily flew from Arthit's shoulder on to the stool and dig in the bowl.

" Arthit... Let's eat. " Kongpob called the merman.

Arthit nodded eagerly " Okay, maste... I mean, Kongpob."

Kongpob picked up the fork, Arthit's eyes widened in shock and fear
" Has Arthit been bad pet ,master ? 😨😫" the merman shrieked in panic while immediately dunking his body under the tub, completely submerging himself under water.

" Arthit!" Kongpob dropped the spoon and ran to Arthit. " What are you doing, come out stupid merman, let's eat. "

But, the merman remained under the water, " Arthit, it's tasty, I swear you will like it. Please come out." Kongpob coaxed the merman who shook his head adamantly under the water.

" Arthit..." Kongpob put his hand under water to pull merman out but came contact with cool sheet of ice, too hard to break.

What the fuck!

" Arthit , I swear, if you don't come out in two seconds, I will be very hungry...🤦... I mean angry. "

Arthit curled up his body under the water. Master is angry , he is gonna stab him with that weapon, Arthit knows all about the trident with four legs. It was his go to hidden weapon in sparring. He has even stabbed the evil siren with it. And, now Kongpob was holding same against him!

"  I'm really hungry, please come out, Arthit."
Kongpob pleaded. Seeing no effects of pleading, he sagged on the floor " please come out, merman. "

Timidly, Arthit raised just his forehead out of the water. " Let's eat na Arthit. " Kongpob cooed waving the fork towards the food.
Seeing the dangerous utensil, Arthit instantly ducked his head under water.

Kongpob still has weapon 😫😭. Why? He had been a good pet, hasn't he ? Why does master wants to punish him ?

Kongpob warily gazed at the mer-man hiding under the water, since Arthit had told about the prison and his fear of cold and dark, Kongpob is feeling sudden protectiveness towards the water creature.

Sure, this merman is hella childish in human eyes but he couldn't be that naive according to mer world. Or how would he break out of prison and still survive on the land?

Kongpob's businessman senses are telling him that he had read the situation wrong. Arthit is neither stupid nor childish. He is just new to human world. It kind of makes sense that he interpret everything according to mer-man world because that's all he knows.

"Arthit..." Kongpob cooed " we just took vows, this is our celebratory dinner and I'm very hungry.  If you don't come out, I'm gonna eat all this alone. You decide, if you want to eat or play hide and seek... "

Kongpob went back to his previous position behind the table, he picked up the knife and fork, ready to eat. Tearing a piece of smoked salmon, he brought it to his lips, he smiled hearing a splash of water, the merman was cautiously peeking outside of water " Arthit is hungry too... But master is gonna punish him with weapon. "

" What? "

" That... Small trident." Arthit pointed to the fork " it is Arthit's favourite weapon, he even defeated the siren with it. But, the siren drained all his magic😢"

" That was very ...bad" siren, magic all this was very hard for Kong to digest. But, he had decided to see the world through Merman's eyes to understand him better. Kongpob glanced at the parrot who was eating his peanuts with vigor. Taking a deep breath, Kongpob mentally prepared himself for what he was about to do.

He picked up the spoon and brought it infront of his eyes " This can be used as a weapon 😨? " He parted his mouth slightly in pretend surprise. " You are so smart to use it as weapon, Arthit. Can you teach me later ? We only know how to eat food with it. See..." Kongpob picked up piece of salmon and ate it. "

" Arthit is smart ? " Arthit asked, puffing his chest " you think so, master? "

" Absolutely. I bet not many merman would be skilled enough to use fork as a weapon..." Kongpob commented chewing the bite.

" You are right master, Arthit has never seen anyone else using it. I guess, Arthit is smart then...😎"

" Absolutely. Arthit should have a reward , right? ... Here" Kongpob prepared a bite for mer-man and held it to his mouth.

Arthit was famished, he instantly leapt up to devour the offered food.

" It is yummy master. " Arthit beamed.

" I'm happy you like it. " Kongpob smiled
"Today, I'm too hungry to teach you so let me feed you instead.  I'll teach you how to eat tomorrow, okay ?"

" To eat " Arthit scratched his head " What was that word again, cunnilingus & anilingus master ? " Arthit asked eagerly.

The bite Kongpob was swallowing stuck in his throat... Bloody stupid merman! 

With the help of whole glass of water, Kongpob pushed the food down the food canal.
" To eat food Arthit! Not ass! "

" You eat ass 😬😱? "

Bird bird elicited a loud whistle, as if hooting. " Excellent! "

" Shut up" Kongpob gritted his teeth.

" Is it your favourite dish master ? Arthit is happy he doesn't have ass..." so master can't eat Arthit when hungry. 😏

Kongpob balked hearing Merman's words
" Arthit! You don't talk first thing that comes in to your mind 😬! I have told you humans doesn't mean everything literally. "

" They don't eat ass,then 🙃 ? "

" No... I means yes... I mean" Kongpob fumbled for correct words " it's a sexual activity ... It is done when two males mate."

Arthit scratched his head in confusion , Humans mate using their asses . What do they do with their mating organ, then?

" But, master what do they do with mating organ – "

Kongpob closed his eyes and took a deep breath . This merman is sure gonna test his patience " This is enough education for today... let's eat, I'm hungry"

Surprisingly, Arthit didn't question further.
He happily ate the food his master fed him, he was just a little confused that this food is not raw. But, then he knows that human cook food in fire. Also, master has prohibited him to ask any other question. Being a good pet, he will ask everything tomorrow.

Arthit watched Kongpob clearing the tables and cleaning the floor of bathroom.

After brushing and showering , Kongpob came to Arthit.

" You said you wanted to learn, how to brush your teeth, do you still want to learn it ? "

" Yes, master🤗" Arthit excitedly observed  the tube of sea foam creating paste.

"Okay" Kongpob squirted a pea-sized dollop of paste on brush.

" Open your mouth .... "

Must put all the efforts in every task, only then he can become a good pet .
Arthit opened his mouth as wide as he could.

" Not like that 🤦" Kongpob chuckled. " Join your teeth together ... Like this " Kongpob demonstrated the correct method, Arthit instantly imitated his master.

Arthit's heart swelled when his master patiently taught him how to use the plastic object. It is a shame that he couldn't stand and use the basin like Kongpob. But, Arthit was happy that he learnt one human ritual.

" I'll practice this skill whole night, come tomorrow, I would have had it by heart master🤗😏" Arthit declared eyeing the toothpaste and toothbrush which Kongpob was about to take back.

" You stupid merman! " Kongpob ruffled his hair " don't be overzealous, all your teeth will fall if you keep brushing them all night. We only brush our teeth twice a day, morning and evening."

" Okay, master. " Arthit smiled.

" I'm going to sleep now. Bathroom lights will be on, so you won't be in dark. Will you be okay  by yourself , Arthit? "

" Yes, master. "

" Okay then. ... Good night, Arthit. "

Kongpob chuckled when merman presented his head for a kiss.
Complying to his wish, Kongpob planted a chaste kiss on merman's forehead.

" Thank you, master. " Arthit quickly pecked his cheek then frowned " Arthit couldn't reach to your forehead ☹️. "

Kongpob was confused for a second , then it clicked. " Anywhere on the face is fine. Its still a kiss, Arthit. You don't always have to go for forehead. " Kongpob cleared. Arthit wagged his tail in happiness, it's blue shimmer made Kongpob happy as always.

" Good night, Arthit. "

" Good night, human" Arthit smiled "rest well. "

Hearing a low thud, Arthit's sleep hazy mind jumped to quick alert. He snapped his eyes open and scanned for the danger, his ears stood on high alert to catch minimalist of sounds.

"Hello, kiddo" a voice sounded, hearing the familiar deep baritone Arthit jumped slightly " Phi Sing ! " Arthit tried to wade his way out of the water to hug the demon prince.

" Looks like someone forgot me, did you kiddo? " His twin brother stood beside Singto, grinning in mischief as always.

Arthit slid back in to the bathtub and turned his back towards the visitors. " Don't talk to me, Kit. And I'm not your kiddo. I'm just 5 minutes younger than you. "

" Ofcourse, you are my kiddo. Even P'Sing calls you kiddo! "

" He is 2000 years older than me, he can call me kiddo. " Arthit folded his hands on his chest " You are just five minutes old, that doesn't even count. "

" Do you know how long five minutes is? Its equal to 300 seconds. Such a big number! " Kit bragged.

" I'm sure you are trying to trick me, P'Sing tell me how long 5 minutes is in terms of moon cycles ? " Arthit hopefully looked at the older male.

Krist glared at Singto , giving him ' dare you tell him?' look.

Singto bit his tongue in attempt to hold back his smile " how would I know Kiddo? Demon world has a different time frame , remember? " Sing answered with a straight face.

Arthit furrowed his eyebrows and pursed his lips " fine. You can call me kiddo, P'Kit 😩. But, Arthit will only talk to P'Sing 😒"

" Why? " Krist asked in despair " Didn't you miss your phi, baby brother ? "

" Did phi miss me😠 ? " Arthit glared at Krist " Arthit was almost killed by siren, did phi come to save Arthit ? Phi promised to protect Arthit. 😣"

Kit hung his head low " You know, I can't enter the oceans kiddo nor could P'Sing or his demons. But, I gave you the necklace for such instances... You should have apparated to me . "

Arthit gritted his teeth " Your necklace is dumb and stupid... You said it's smart. But, when I told him to send me to safest place, it dumped me here. Arthit almost dried out, if not for master, Arthit would have died.😡 "

" I'm sorry na kit. But, it's good that necklace dropped you here, it means it's the safest place for you. Do you understand, baby brother? " Kit placed a hand on merman's shoulder which another instantly shrugged off.

Arthit puffed his cheeks stained red with anger " Whatever "

" Is this human not treating you well, Kiddo? " Singto asked " Do you want to come with us ?"

" No..." Arthit answered without a second delay " Kongpob is nice. He even took Arthit as pet. Arthit wants to learn. Kongpob has promised to teach Arthit. "

" That's good" kit smiled.

Arthit squinted his eyes at Krist " I'm not talking to you "

" Arthit, we were keeping an eye on you, kiddo. We can never leave you alone." Singto placated the sulking Nong. Arthit's shoulders relaxed a little after hearing this.

Kit sat on his knees infront of the mer-man
" I am sorry na, baby brother. Tell me what can I do to gain your forgiveness ? "

Arthit eyes Krist suspiciously then turned to Singto " P'Sing, is he a good pet ? " Arthit asked.

Singto nodded his head with a straight face. Oh, this is going to be entertaining.

" Fine." Arthit pouted and turned to Krist
" teach Arthit how to be a good pet and Arthit will forgive you."

" You want to learn how to be a good pet ? " Kit beamed " Then you are at right place brother. Because, Krist is best pet the world has ever seen . You can ask P'Sing, if you don't trust me . "

" But" Arthit raised an accusing finger at the demon's soulmate " if you teach me anything funny and Kongpob gets angry , I will never forgive you. "

" Come-on kiddo, have I ever dished out trouble for you? " Kit asked offended.

" Every single time. " Arthit fumed.

" That is in the past brother. You know I love you, I have always cared for you. I even have list of things you should do to be a good pet. " Krist magicked a par hment out of thin air. It can be as small as you want. You can keep it hidden under your scale. "

" Give me " Arthit demanded.

" Ofcourse. I have brought it for your perusal only. But, let's discuss it first so you will understand everything well. "

" Don't teach him outrageous things" Singto's deep baritone sounded in Krist's mind.

" I will just teach him about being a good pet. " Krist winked.

" I'll come and visit you later, Kiddo " Singto apparated out of the bathroom with a low crackling sound.

Krist settled down on the ornate chair he conjured with tracing complicated pattern in air " Come on baby brother. Let phi teach you the art of wrapping your master around your pinky finger. "
