Don't Mess With A Woman Who Is Confident In High Heels

"We just want what is the best for each and every one of you. And by putting this new curriculum into place, each and every one of you can reach your full poten-", the principal cut off as one the school administrators walked into the huge auditorium with a young woman in tow.

Everyone in the school had been gathered together in the huge high school auditorium in order to be lectured about the new school curriculum from the principal.

The administrator walked up to the principal and started talking hurriedly with him. Her brunette hair was in a bun and she was wearing a white blouse over a pink shirt. The shirt was tucked into black dress pants over black flats. The woman fiddled with her lanyard before the principal nodded.

The woman that was left to stand at the edge of the stage was a bit intimidating to say the least. She had a black button down tucked into black jeans. Over that she wore a calf length black coat that ended in two tails, her hands adorned with fingerless gloves. Her dark hair was tied back into a warrior braid and she wore black high heels. Her feet were shoulder width apart and her hands clasped in front of her. In all, the lady looked professional yet very imposing.

"Peter Parker? Your cousin is here to pick you up for early dismissal." The principal called out through the microphone in his hand.

Whispers arose as Peter blushed and started to grab his backpack. Flash, his bully who was sitting a row back from Peter voiced what many were thinking in a harsh whisper. "The hell? Parker has a hot cousin?!"

Peter choked on nothing as he scrambled out from the middle of the row and out into the isle.

The woman laughed as he saw the gangly teen scramble over, glad to get out of the school. The administrator handed over some paper work quickly for the woman to fill out.

"Why are you picking me up this early?" Peter asked- it was only a little after eleven- lunch hadn't even passed.

Peters cousin handed back the clip board, the microphone picking up her response as the principal checked it over. "It turns out I have an early meeting and since I am the only one who could have picked you up today, you have to come with me. I have lunch in the car and you are gonna have to change- I want you to make good impressions."

Peter knew what that meant. There was Avengers business and they needed him to suit up. What would make this better would be if the kids in his school would stop ogling his 'cousin'.

------

Once in the car, Peter ducked into the back and changed. Without looking into the back, Percy tossed the teen a sandwich and a cookie. "Your bug mom made it and your weird bug uncle snuck you a cookie. There should be a water bottle back there somewhere."

Peter grunted his thanks, struggling in the backseat. Percy continued on as she took a right and sped up slightly. "We need to pick up the twins before we head over to the Camp- Fury had decided that we made them wait long enough."

The black car silently slid to a stop in front of a bland building- which in fact was a SHIELD building. Peter slid over, tucking his clothes into his backpack as the twins slid in. The teen felt a little left out as the three traded a few words in Russian, but he had to quickly duck as a manila folder was chucked at him from the front.

Wanda, whom was in the middle took the file and started reading, the boys on either side of her leaning in. Abruptly, Percy's phone started to ring, the deaf woman quickly starting the call and putting the phone on speaker.

-------
A few moments earlier

"When are they gonna get here?" Tony whined. They had been waiting ten minutes for the rest of the team to get here. Natasha sighed, throwing her unlocked phone at the petulant child.

"Call her if you are so inclined."

A minute passed. "What's her contact Natasha?" The spy reached forward for her phone to find the contact.

Clint jumped forward and tackled the red head. "Tony, Percy's contact is named 'Little Flame' in Russian."

Natasha growled. "And Clint's is Twinkies."

Laughter exploded from the group as they heard the ringing of the phone on speaker.

"Hello Natasha."

"It's Tony and I got tired of waiting. When are you gonna be here. I wanna see these stuck up little twerps and put them in their place."

There was a simple sigh from the other side of the phone, prompting Rhodey to take Natasha's phone from the billionaire.

"Take your time Percy. We are a bit away from the Camp and are hidden in the trees. We are just waiting for you to be here to debrief us."

"Okay. Thanks Rhodey. I can get there in five. We- awe fuck. Imma have to put you on hold." The team heard the demigod pull the car over. "Kids I need you to stay down and narrate what is happening to the best of your ability. We cant let them know that I have you. I know you all can do something to help but it is best if you hide and thus not let the agents call in about you. Clint tell Fury that we need a collection team for five HYDRA agents." The car door opened and Clint heard a list of Percy's coordinates as she exited the car.

The team on Natasha's side of the phone froze and stayed quiet, Clint whispering harshly into his own phone.

"There are five agents." Pietro's voice rung out quietly from the phone. "One is knocked out already- she hit him with the butt of her gun. And-" there was a hard intake of breath from the three young adults in the back. "She got shot by agent number two twice in her thigh. But he's down now."

Tension ran thick in the air as they heard gunshots and grunts of the fighting. Most of the others on Nat's side winced in sympathy, Bucky even rubbing at his own thigh, as if imaging the pain there.

"Ugly numbers three and four tag teamed and grabbed her four has her by the throat and three has a gun to her head- shit number five is coming this way. He's trying to pop the trunk." Peter's hushed voice sounded through the phone. "What the- Percy just stabbed four with a high heel to the stomach. She dropped low and three accidentally shot four in the side. Percy got her gun back and shot three in the thigh- she is down now but her buddy number five is using hand to hand."

Suddenly there where was a collective sigh from the three young adults. Wanda then took over the phone. "All of them are down. Five probably has a broken arm. She's tying them up and a SHIELD car just arrived. A medic is treating Percy. Percy just gave us a thumbs up."

There was silence as the other Avengers felt relief flow through their systems.

There was some rustling, a car door opening and closing, and some soft reassurances before Percy was heard over the phone. "Hey. Everyone is fine over here. Both bullets exited my right thigh- the medic poured some water to clear the blood- which helped with the pain. They got some nectar-ambrosia paste that Agent Morgasin brought in. Ya know Apollo's Roman daughter."

Percy coughed a little before continuing. "Anyways medic put it in the wounds and just put a some gauze pads over it under my pants. Theres some gauze bandages wrapped around it over my jeans just to put some pressure down. Its bleeding a bit still cause we have limited supplies of ambrosia and nectar. Medic gave me some extra gauze and gauze pads for when the blood starts seeping through to much. Water was put on my neck and the bruising and swelling went away since it was treated quickly. Otherwise I'm fine. The teens are a bit shaken cause they could only sit back and watch but they're calming down."

Mrs. O'Leary barked in the background causing Percy to laugh. "Make sure my dog has her SHIELD vest on. And everyone needs to call her Dallie. Its short for Daedalus, her previous owner. Everyone knows Mrs. O'Leary and its not exactly a common name for anyone. Be good. We will be there soon."

A quiet beep was heard from the phone as Percy hung up. Every Avenger took a deep breath, calming down and allowing the tightness in their shoulders to ease away.

When Percy's car arrived, everyone stood up, the backseat passengers scrambling out. Vision though, actually just shifted through the car door and grabbed Percy, shifting the two of them out. The android gently set the woman down and allowed her to lean on him as much as Percy needed. The woman seemed fine at least, the gauze bandage around her leg was dotted a little with red, but otherwise she seemed fine- no sign of tiredness dragging upon her features.

"Okay. So, we are seen as 'mortals' even though we are more powerful than most of them. They will doubt us and will try to annoy us. The Greeks will most likely not want us to even help while the Romans- since there will probably be at least a few there- will probably have not wanted us to come; not because they think that they can handle it singularly. But because it is their problem and wouldn't want mortals to get hurt because of their inability to fight their opponent without help. The Romans will be nicer- they are strict but will protect their own. The Greeks will most likely be rude and crass.

"None of my friends know that I am still alive. Your weapons were commissioned secretly to Leo and my cyclops brother Tyson by Hephaestus. Luckily- even though he did vote against me, he was spying on those who didn't back me up, keeping the gods on my side in the loop. A few years after I was banished, Hades convinced his wife Persephone to see the truth. I don't speak to either of those two gods directly- it's too risky. Those who originally stood by me don't know where I am or what I look and sound like."

Steve smiled. "What would be good would be if we fooled with them. They only think that Percy was a temporary baby sitter."

The team laughed, smiles easing onto their faces. Percy then took the spotlight again. "What we could do is take our time. They are obviously in a rush- hell, we made them wait for a week already. Always stay calm. They are gonna try to get a rise from us. They are also not going to expect me- they probably thought that I was only temporary for the gala. And as you know, demigods are technologically sheltered for the most part so they won't know everything about you. Furthermore, the pantheons tend to keep to themselves- only interacting for diplomatic purposes."

"Why are demigods technologically sheltered?" Peter asked, his suit's eyes squinting slightly in confusion.

"Technology attracts monsters when demigods use them. Watching tv or watching others use tech doesn't trigger anything though demigods dont know that so they stay away because of the taboo. Even if I am a powerful demigod, I am constantly around mortals, which disguises my smell. Again, different pantheons don't mix so Thor here also helps to an extent. But since you guys already have a lot of electronics, it would be best if I used less technology. It'll create a beacon if I use tech surrounded by other demigods. Mortals however can pass with using tech around the demigods. And so..." Percy took out her hearing aids and handed them to Natasha, the red head putting them in the case that was given by Tony, putting the case back into her  backpack once the devices were nestled comfortably into the foam. "I can still read lips though."

Wanda shyly began talking. "I could do the mind connection thing again. That way you can still 'hear' us but you don't have to use technology and I can practice with my powers."

Percy smiled, nodding an affirmative. Even though she did come to terms with being deaf after she was violently thrust into the deaf community, she liked being be able to hear. Not that she didn't like to being part of the deaf community- she in fact did and loved how they welcomed her with open arms as she learned their language in silence.

Percy fondly remembered the times that her and Clint went to meetings to communicate with others who used sign language and lip reading to speak. When the duo had told the group how Percy lost her hearing- a half-truth that spun a tale about how her deranged uncle viciously attacked her for no reason- the group had all clasped hands until the young adult had stopped shaking.

A few times the topic of hearing aids and implants had been approached. Some liked them while some vehemently denied their usage. Luckily, before the group had come to a stop as a few mediators- mainly just Percy, Clint and a little girl with pigtails named Stella- stepped up to the plate. Everyone calmed down when Stella signed that her implants let her hear her momma and little brother Phillip and when Percy and Clint explained how their job as police officers required hearing aids if needed but otherwise, the station allowed them to wear the devices when they wanted.

Percy shook her head, clearing out those memories as she allowed Wanda to connect their minds together. Percy poured some of her raw energy into the bond, allowing it to run off her power and not just Wanda's power alone.

Peter then raised his hand hesitantly. "I just have one question before we go and face the camp. Why don't you have a code name based on your powers? Natasha is named Black Widow 'cause she seduces guys and then kills them. Steve is named Captain America cause of his outfit and he fought for America in World War Two."

Percy laughed quietly. "Do you know how obvious that is though? If I had a water related name or a Greek one, the demigods would notice. It would be like 'hey- that person has a Greek/Latin/water-related code name and they can control water and/or they are very mysterious and just randomly showed up. Hmmmmm I wonder who the heck this person could be. Definitely not Percy Jackson whom we banished.' See what I mean? That's also why I don't use my water powers in front of people and the public. Again too obvious."

The team chuckled, slowly heading toward the borders of the camp, keeping an eye on Percy's leg and the two hidden bullet holes hidden behind bandages. The woman didn't falter even as they arrived at the barrier of the camp, Peleus sniffing at her hand.

"I, Thor Odinson, allow my teammates, the Avengers, to enter Camp Half-Blood under my protection." The barrier shivered, light rippling across the invisible magic gate. The team walked in, a few kids spotting them and running off towards what Percy told them was the Big House. Soon enough a massive wave of demigods being led by Chiron approached the team. The team had naturally formed a sort of barrier around Percy, protecting her from too many eyes and allowing her to feel her pain a bit before having to put up her mask again.

"So the Avengers finally decided to show up." Annabeth sneered, arms crossed, coming to the front of the group. Chiron gently chiding her, his tail flicking slightly.

Percy slammed her pain away under an unemotional mask with a slightly aloof gaze. As she stepped from her team, Percy inwardly smiled viciously. She could and would verbally wreck Annabeth. Even though six years had passed, Percy knew that girl inside and out- Annabeth doesn't just change. Changing is for those who think that they need improvement, for those that are weak. And Annabeth isn't weak- at least the blonde thinks so.

"It's okay Chiron. We are here to help you and those who are gracious enough to ask for it. We can see that you are lacking in some places and we are willing to fight for those who can't." Percy shifted her gaze to Annabeth. "And to you daughter of Athena," Percy spat, like it was a curse, "asked for our help. Not the other way around. So calm down on thinking you don't need us because you obviously do."

Annabeth growled, stepping forward but Chiron put a hand on the demigod's shoulder to stop her, the centaur taking a turn to talk. "How do you know who she is a child of? We made sure to not reveal anything because we wanted to explain it ourselves- starting with me being a centaur."

Percy actually smiled. "Did you really think that our Director would send us into unknown territory? Did you think that Thor would either? No. We know all about you- we have demigods within our ranks. But then again you have history with spies- lets call them agents. Those who actually want to make a difference for the whole world. SHIELD knows all about the Romans and the Egyptians because you aren't all that subtle. We even have documents confirming that you killed your savior ten years, seven months, three weeks, and four days ago. He died in our intensive care unit."

Hurt gasps were heard as each bombshell was dropped but everyone was silenced at the confirmation that Percy Jackson was dead- had been for over ten years.
