"Kill the Avengers and all who stand in your way."
Percy's body jerked, limbs flailing as the Stones figured out how to control her body. Her solid gold eyes were unblinking, faces fully slack. Riptide had been dropped, causing it to disappear and reappear as a pen in her pocket, yet she didn't reach for it. Instead Power formed a blade made of its crackling power, twined with the fluidity that was Reality.
"Percy!" Bucky called. Natasha and Clint's heads snapped toward the super soldier, listening to him and knowing that those weren't her words. "Percy, listen to me, please sweetheart, fight it, for me. You're so strong, don't let this be the end!"
Percy's head snapped towards him, tilting slowly. She stalked towards Bucky, a hand moving up to caress his cheek. And then suddenly her arm jerked down, her hand on his chest, and she pushed him. Bucky went flying. It was only Groot with his branches that caught him and saved him from creating a new ditch in the soil. Bucky was heartbroken- he could faintly feel Percy. It felt like she was slamming herself at the door that was erected between them due to pain and reinforced by the Stones themselves. He felt like crying- he couldn't even knock on that door back, to let her know she was there as the Stones lashed out at him when he tried.
Muttering a thank you to the living tree, Bucky settled into the Winter Soldier mindset. This motherfucker tortured his soulmate, took her away from him. This man was going to die in the most torturous way possible, he was going to die knowing that no matter what he did or tried, that his efforts were for nothing.
After Percy tossed Bucky away, she dashed forward. No matter which Avenger tried to stop her, no matter the Guardian or Sorcerer, she cut and slashed, tossing them away from her. She was silent through all of this, but as she fought her friends, the people she loved and admired, tears started to silently fall down her face. A blast of magic from Agatha and Stephen sent her flying into some rubble.
Suddenly Thanos' voice called out over the din, frustrated that his new Gauntlet wasn't obeying his commands. Voice cruel and full of promised pain, it echoed. "Kill half of them. Kill the heroes with prejudice! Destroy them, now!" Percy had made her way to standing, when Thanos called out. She froze, the Stones vibrating, radiating heat and power. And suddenly, there was a shock blast of power. It was quick, breaking the sound barrier as it made its way out from Percy.
Stephen, with his arms up, as if to start making a portal, was the first to start to turn to ash, and then Wanda. Pietro tried to race towards his little sister, but his legs started to disintegrate as well. Groot, Quill, Drax, Rocket, and Mantis dissolved as well. Sam, Scott, T'Challa, Loki and Bucky also found themselves disappearing.
The original six Avengers found themselves alone, without their other members and their honorary members. The Wakandans, Greeks, and Romans were stumbling, unsure of what was going on as their brothers, sisters, friends, and family disappeared around them.
Inside her head Percy was screaming. She had to watch as her friends died in front of her. She had to watch as her demigod friends turned to ash. She had to watch as Bucky disappeared before her eyes.
"Finally," sighed the Mad Titan, "it is done. Death shall soon come to me and I shall embrace her. Kill the everyone else in your way in the meantime as I wait for my Lady."
Once more Percy's mindset was forced to shift and soon all that mattered was to kill, kill, kill. Just as she was going to throw herself at her teammates once more, the Stones now fully used to moving her body and able to do more damage than just tossing people around, movement caught her attention. A long ways away, in the tree line there was one of those safari jeeps- behind which were some people cowering for safety. Somehow these people were able to make their way to their deserted area that they had cleared. Using the Space Stone, she teleported in short bursts in order to travel fast and without interference from the heroes. She suddenly appeared in front of the small tourist group, they screamed, clutching at one another.
As the people cowed away from her, all the conduit of the Stones could feel was Power winding up and fortifying her backbone, taking its fragility and infusing power and strength and will into the pores of the white bone. The purple burned where it touched , soon becoming an icy cool balm as the nerves fried and withered and melted away under Power's might.
The conduit could feel Reality twisting itself tighter around her neck, carefully wrapping a noose of control into the bruising flesh of its host. She was a mere outcropping of flesh to be used to funnel and control and help these beings that are worth so much more than her petty fragile existence. The conduit felt the red magic tighten and loosen with every action she took, rewarding her for each agreeable action while tightening its noose if the conduit didn't perform to perfection. It was a liquid poison beneath her skin, never really forgetting the days of it being fluid as the Aether.
The conduit felt as Space forced her through galaxies- she was everywhere and nowhere and she was everything and nothing. She could feel every molecule of space soaking into her pores, Space's magic a burning star resting in her stomach, waiting for a chance to strike, to supernova, and to take down the universe with it.
The conduit felt as Time wrapped around her collarbones, urging her forwards as she was assaulted by all of time itself, assaulted by each life that she was going to snuff out in mere moments, every being that she will turn to ash to give birth to a new time, a new age of prosperity. Time was cool, much less savage and much more contained than the others, perhaps from the discipline of the Sorcerers of Kamar-Taj. Time focused on her own past, looking through with a surgeon's precision- something learned from Stephen. The conduit felt as Time wrote novels into her very molecules, recorded every breath that she took and every closure of her eyes. Time squeezed at her collarbones, urging her to complete the task that they were ordered to do.
The conduit felt as the yellow power of the Mind Stone invaded her own, but not to pull apart until there was nothing left, not to burn every memory or freeze her minds grip on her own perception of reality. Mind whispered to its brethren, spinning a tale of another being tethered to their conduit. It whispered softly of the lies that had controlled their conduit's life, the hiding and the fear, the bitter taste of betrayal. It murmured and cradled the memory of a new family finding her and nursing her to health, fighting with her, not against her. Mind whispered more about how the conduit screamed and fought within her own mind, ready to tear herself apart if it meant saving the universe, if it meant saving her universe.
The conduit felt as Soul wrapped its orange tendrils inside her. It caressed the bond that was attached to their conduit, softly singing about how it was closed off, blocked with the pain to spare her other half that was now within Soul itself. It curled gently around the bond, wanting to know intimately what it was, how it connected two beings of its own domain- souls. The conduit felt as Soul debated, holding onto her soul and comparing it to their master's commands. Soul preserved the little ball of light and the string connecting to it, curling around it, whispering to its brethren about how they had to obey the commands of their collector, yet this soul resolutely did not. Soul wanted to scream and protect and destroy and preserve. The conduit should have been nothing more than a channeling device though, never to have its own will again.
Just as the blade of light rose, ready to strike those that cowered before her, an old man with white hair and big glasses lay his hands on her cheeks, forcing her to look at him. His old fingers brushed away the tears that streamed down her face, the only sign that the real Percy was miserable, bound but still trying to fight her way back and take control.
"I know you aren't mine, and you never will be. But I beg of you, you are stronger than this. Those people out there- the Avengers and the Guardians and the Sorcerer Supreme- are so important. They are lights in the darkness of these times. I have watched them grow and mature and flower. I have watched them evolve and grow and become bigger than I had ever imagined. They are like my children so please, please help them. Help them where I cannot anymore."
The whispers of the stones abated as the old man rambled and started crying himself. The conduit's arm shifted towards the elderly maan, still armed with the blade of light, but the man didn't flinch. He just smiled softly and stroked her cheeks with his thumbs, his old eyes sparkling with understanding. It was at that moment that Percy was able to take control, to finally feel her body again, hearing as the voices now shouted and screamed and burned within her head. The man stumbled back, falling to the ground, embraced by his wife and another man, whose hair was white at the sides and dark at the top.
"It's okay Jack," Percy could faintly hear the old man reassure his friend, "I think I got through to her."
Just as she was going to bring down her weapon, the conduit felt something sharp try to shove itself into the small of her back, just above the Power Stone. The conduit froze, the Stones quickly analyzing what just happened. It was a bone sword- Annabeth. And upon seeing that she had the Achilles Curse once more tried to be rid of her by using her old Achilles heel. Mind growled, telling the others how this girl tried to control their conduit, lying about being her soulmate- something that had Soul pulsing angrily. The Stones quickly had the conduit pivot around, and when they saw nothing, got their conduit to dart her hand out, grabbing the cap that was atop Annabeth's head, revealing her to the world.
"Oh that was an... unwise decision, daughter of Athena." Reality hissed out, voice a thick red poison.
Power reached out and yanked the blessing from the Yankees cap. Time sealed it, forcing it to stay in this one moment in time to make sure that the blessing couldn't be reverted or given back . "And now you cannot hide anymore, not as Nobody. You will face your lies one day I promise you that." Annabeth's eyes widened as she realized that her gift from her mother had given her was once more useless. Instinctually the demigod knew that Athena wouldn't be able to restore it like she did when she fought off Serapis with Sadie after Minerva had taken away its power.
It was actually Soul that lashed out this time, sending the demigod flying and slamming her into a tree. Soul wanted to hurt the one that manipulated another's soul bond, that violated someone in such a deep way using its domain. The conduit could tell that Annabeth was still alive, her timeline still strong. Even after all that demigod put her through, the conduit was glad that the daughter of Athena was still alive- the conduit didn't want to stoop lower than Annabeth ever did and kill her, which is an outcome that Annabeth would have known when she leveled such accusations towards her all those years ago. In fact, the demigod probably believed Percy dead.
Thanos, not seeing or hearing anymore carnage, repeating his command, bending the Stones to his will. In her head the Stones were crying out, screaming at the pain as the Titan forced them against what they wanted. "Make us stop. It hurts. Please help us. Set us free. We are not to be contained by any mortal standard. Free us and we will be infinitely grateful."
Percy realized that the voices, the scared, sharp, hurt, voices were the Infinity tones. While they were destructive and unyielding, willing to crash down and wrench and rip and tear and bite and claw and ruin and kill, they saw the universe as Percy saw it. Full of lives worth saving. Worth protecting even if it meant that they got nothing in return. Worth protecting to see one more buck-toothed smile from a small child, to see the sparkle in an elder's eyes as they tell you secrets that they have held close to their chest for all these years, to see people get up and start anew despite others judgements and thoughts.
Percy thought of the waves of the sea, and the unending freedom that came with it. She thought of flying with Blackjack, safe on an animal of her father's domain. She thought of the freedom given by family and loved ones that allowed her to be true to herself. She thought of her mother, the love and freedom she did her best to give her daughter. She was an untameable thing, born of the viciousness of love and the wildness of the waves, not ever meant to be subjugated. She was the grandchild of a war goddess in her own right, and the power of her mother to bring two halves of a god together- holding two halves of an ocean together, told of the tenacity and ferocity that Percy held within her skin.
Aphrodite was a goddess of war- creating it, causing it, reveling in it. Even Ancient Greeks worshipped her that way- Aphrodite Areia. She used love as a tool to manipulate or guide people into doing what she wanted. Love was biting, vicious, and scarring. Wars were fought over it and ended by it. Aphrodite was always there on the battlefield, alive in lovers and those who loved war itself. Poseidon was the unforgiving waters of the oceans, dashing boats and people alike into hidden spires of rock without any care. He held hidden leviathans to wreak unsurmountable damages and death upon a simple command. His waters whispered of filling lungs as it pulled you down to its dark heart under the frothing waves, burying you in its stomach to feed its children. Percy was contained these aspects just as much as she held gentle love and calm waters.
But now, there was only so long that you could hold water back before the levee breaks.
The sound of rushing water in her ears blocked out Thanos' commands, and without his notice, seven wills merged into one as Percy stepped back into the din of the battlefield. As she walked, not attacking anyone, face still stony but no longer crying, everyone left stopped to look at the vision of power that stood before them. She stopped in front of Thanos, power holding him still.
"Did you really think that you could hold the sea?" Percy croaked, "Did you really think that you could make love bow to you? You forget, Thanos, just who we humans are. While you may think yourselves Titans and gods, we humans keep gods alive with our minds, our beliefs. You want to be worshipped, but you forget that here on Earth we are the ones who give you power. I have killed gods and Titans alike and from the looks of you, you aren't one. After all Tony made you bleed. And once you've made a god bleed, people will cease to believe in them."
Percy smirked. "And if you think that our gods have abandoned us, you have another thing coming."
All across the world beings emerged into existence, ready to defend those that believed in them from the alien ships that surrounded the Earth.
In India a multi-armed blue god descended from the heavens- Vishnu. He split into ten different avatars, also known as Dashavatara, to protect his people. Another blue god had a serpent around his neck, a crescent moon, and a river flowing from his hair, baring a trident- Shiva. A goddess also appeared riding a tiger, each of her many arms wielding a weapon- Durga.
In Egypt emerged a goddess who wielded a bow and arrow, a symbol of arrows and shield on her head- Neith. Sekhmet let out a roar of fire, a sun disk atop her lion head, her hands ready to cast plagues onto the aliens. Another lion deity was ready to fight, mouth ready to eat anything that came across his path, knives at the ready- Maahes.
In Norway and other Germanic countries Asgardians took up arms. Freyja, with her chariot pulled by two cats, her boar forging the way looked fierce in her cloak of falcon feathers. A goddess on skis wielding a bow raced down from some mountains, ready to fight- Skadi. A one handed god emerged, armed and ready, patron of warriors and heroes- Tyr.
In Wakanda, Bast emerged as an oversized panther, ready to rend with her teeth. Kokou, the ever burning god of war with a head and torso made of flame burned with anticipation. Hanuman- the ape god of the Jabari tribe loped towards the battlefield, huge and imposing, ready to fight with his tribe.
Across Africa emerged other gods- Oya, goddess of winds, lightning and violent storms. Amadioha, god of thunder and lighting accompanied by his white ram. Maher, a fierce god of war with his spear and shield.
In North America, other gods also readied themselves for war. Of course there was Set, Horus, and Isis from the Brooklyn house, Artemis appeared with her Hunters in Wakanda, and the Roman and Greeks gods got ready for battle. In northern Canada a goddess dressed in an amauti parka and ilgaak, or snow goggles, readied herself for a hunt- Pinga from the Inuit. In western New Mexico, twin gods of war, alit with lightning readied themselves for war to protect their Zuni people once more- Ahayu'da. In the southwestern US Coyote appeared in his animal form, ready to cause mischief and turmoil amongst the invaders.
In Mexico two gods of war called out their haunting cry before blowing a death whistle to scare away the aliens- Huitzilopochtli and Tlacahuepan. Both were decked out in feathers and ceremonial armour- armour that, with their divinity would protect them against the awaiting rampaging beasts.
In Japan emerged a samurai in imperial armor- Hachiman, the divine protector of Japan. In a gust of wind and water, the god of hunting and warfare emerged- Takeminakata. A god of the sea came from the water, bringing with him rain and thunder- Ryujin.
In China a god with a head of bronze with four eyes and six arms that all wielded weapons screamed at the sky in challenge- Chiyou. A goddess of war emerged, ready to defend and fight- Jiutian Xuannu. Li Jing appeared, carrying his pagoda that can capture any spirit demon or god.
In the Philippines emerged Chacha, the Bontok god of warriors, and Apolake, the Tagalog god of the sun and warriors.
In Vietnam emerged Cao Lo, armed with a crossbow as the god of military innovations. Thanh Giong also readied himself, the god of triumph over foreign invaders.
In Italy and across Christian nations beings of spinning wheels, eyes, and wings, along with more humanoid ones with multiple heads descended from the heavens.
All across the world, countless gods and deities revealed themselves, ready to fight for their home, their people. As one, they all screamed towards the sky, challenging the aliens, and Thanos, swearing to avenge their people's deaths with that of the aliens two fold.
Thanos straightened as he hear the war cry, his general whispering in his ear with alien tech about the new players in the game that emerged even after the Snap. His head turned towards Percy Jackson.
"Just remember you chose me to wield the stones. I'm sure you've heard stories about me from those I've killed as you walked Death's halls. But you should have remembered every black day I ever stopped them. You shouldn't have tried to challenge me."
Percy swiftly turned towards her family, the Avengers. Everyone watched as she raised her hand, blade of Power in her hand. She smiled at them.
"Give him hell, boys."
With that, Percy plunged the blade into her stomach, a supernova charging forth.
-------------------------
The ripple that emanated from Percy pushed demigods and aliens alike down to their knees- only the original six Avengers seemed immune. The amalgamation of color separated when it reached the Avengers, each color swirling around one Avenger. A whirlwind of color surrounded them, cutting them off from the outside world. Each Avenger saw as an Infinity Stone came through the swirling color, stopping at eye level.
Natasha was surrounded by red, the Aether, the Reality Stone. It showed her her own childhood, how she always changed, forced by the Red Room to become something new. It showed her how she was changed and molded, her reality constantly changing against her will as she was made anew again with each assignment. Then it showed her as she met her soulmate, Clint saving her. And then how she chose to still be a spy, but this time she had control over herself, control over her reality and how she changed it to suit herself. While working for SHIELD, she was happy to change herself, slip through personas and creating a new reality for her missions that she had a say in. For Natasha, Reality settled at her stomach- where her Black Widow mark would be if she was the spider that she was named after.
Clint was surrounded by yellow, the Scepter, the Mind Stone. It showed him as Loki took him over with the scepter, as his Mind wasn't fully his. It showed him that despite the control, how Loki made sure that his commands were lax enough so that Clint and Selvig could work around them. They were lax enough and Clint was smart enough to take advantage of that so that he didn't kill people and instead allowed them time to escape. It finally showed him Natasha saving him with cognitive recalibration- he was in control of his mind. He was smart, he saw things that others did not. The Mind Stone chose him so he could reclaim his mind, know that he was the one in control and someone else. The Stone sat itself in his forehead- he saw better from above after all.
Thor was swallowed by blue, the Tesseract, the Space Stone. It showed him as a child, traveling the realms, traveling the rainbow bridge. It showed him Loki traveling between realms as easily as slipping between curtains. It showed him as he travelled through space, becoming a better man each time he left Asgard. Space showed as he learned more and more about Loki, pushing past his bullheadedness to only believe one truth. Space settled onto the back of his right hand, the one that guided him as he flew with Mjolnir and now Stormbreaker.
Steve was swallowed by green, the Eye of Agamotto, the Time Stone. It showed him as he was rejected by the Army over an over, forcing him to lie on his enlistment forms to remove some of the illnesses that he was listed so that he might have a chance. He saw as Bucky was enlisted, forced to join the army and how he felt that it was unfair- that Bucky, who didn't want to go into the army went while he, with the small, sickly body wasn't allowed. It showed him as he was too late to catch Bucky, knowing that not only had he failed his brother, but his brother's soulmate. It showed him as he crashed his plane, knowing that he was going to miss his dance with Peggy. It showed him waking up in a new time, a new era, lost and confused. But Steve was finally done with refusing to change and not adapt, yes, he was the man out of time, but he was going to make this time his own as he had found his family. The Time Stone settled above his heart, as it was broken by constantly by missing out, and now healed by his new family in this era.
Bruce was surrounded by purple, the Orb, the Power Stone. It showed him as he was powerless as a child, watching his father abuse his mother before he rounded on him. It showed him as he watched his mother get killed by his father before he was sent to live with his father's much more caring sister Susan Banner. Bruce was shown as he talked to his imaginary friend the Hulk that had appeared to protect him from his father's wrath. He was shown his conviction that gamma radiation would stabilize the super soldier serum that he had worked on with his then girlfriend Betty Ross. It showed him that his hypothesis was wrong, and instead it gave his alter, as he now knew that he had Dissociative Identity Disorder, a body. It showed how he felt powerless, that the Hulk just took over, but the Stone quickly showed him a quick montage of people who were never afraid of him- Betty, Tony, Thor, and Percy. It showed him that even after all of this time being afraid, the Hulk was his protector, and he had the power to control himself, to strut just like Tony said during the first invasion. The Power Stone settled in the small of his back, showing that he did have a backbone, that he was just as powerful as the Hulk and wouldn't hide anymore.
Tony was engulfed in a torrent of orange, that which lay on Vormir, the Soul Stone. It showed him as his father's abuse and abandonment did it's best to crush his soul. It showed him as he drowned himself in drugs and alcohol in order to hide from the sadness of his last words to his parents. It showed him falling apart as he found out that Jarvis had died, ruining himself as he mourned his pseudo-father. It showed him as he fell further into those coping mechanisms as he was exposed to the media without his parents or Jarvis' intervention, everything made worse as Obadiah sold him out to the media, manipulated him, and subtly abused him. But it also showed him being saved by James Rhodes when he was fourteen and in MIT. It showed him as he gave life, gave souls to his robots that he built from the ground up. It showed curiosity that he made souls, Dum-e, Butterfingers, U, JARVIS, FRIDAY, and JOCASTA, instead of taking them like the gem itself did. It showed him Yinsen saving him, pointing out the blood on his hands due to his negligence, and putting him on the path that would save his soul. It showed his dedication to make up for the blood that lay on his hands, handed to him by Obie and Howard, investing greatly in Intelli-Crops, renewable energy, and saving people using his Iron Man armors. The Soul Stone settled into the Arc Reactor- the thing that started it all.
When the Stones settled themselves onto the Avengers, the color died away, allowing them to see what was around them. Percy was collapsed on the ground, tanned skin pale. She was twitching slightly, eyes rolling behind her slightly cracked eyelids. Thanos was so greatly angered, raising his sword to strike her while she was down. Natasha raised her arm out like Tony would to fire a blast, and suddenly Thanos's double-edged, double-ended broadsword exploded into a bunch of spiders. Thanos roared in anger, quickly trying to rid himself of the offending insects.
Thor focused on Percy, and suddenly she disappeared in a flare of blue. Thor murmured that he had sent her inside the Wakandan castle in order to protect her.
"We have to end this," Clint said, "for everyone. For Percy." The Avengers agreed, falling into formation easily. Since Percy was down and out, Tony was default leader, so he took the front. Thor and Steve were on either side of and slightly behind Tony. Behind Steve was Bruce and behind Thor was Clint and Natasha, thus forming a V-formation. They slowly started to walk towards Thanos, determination clear on their faces, Stones flaring where they were safely nestled without hurting their hosts.
Tony flipped his helmet down so everyone could hear him. He spoke calmly, a steeliness in his voice. "Avengers Assemble."
Suddenly the dust on the ground started to swirl. From the ground up people started to reform. Dr. Stephen Strange reformed first, his hands still moving like they were when he was snapped- like he knew this would happen. His hand movements summoned a large portal, but dozens more formed with it- the Sorcerers from around the world were coming to help. The heroes that were snapped reformed just as the hundreds of thousands of heroes and villains alike from across the globe running in from the portals. The dozens of suits that Tony had summoned were led by not only the remotely piloted Hulk Buster suit, but Pepper, Peter, Harley, and Rhodey also came flying in.
Shuri, T'Challa, and the Queen Mother Ramonda also came through to join their fighters, both suited up and decked in their war paint. Shuri called out to rally her warriors. "WAKANDA-" Her people helped her finish it, "FOREVER!"
The Asgardians that weren't protecting their home came rushing through. Brunhilde came flying in on a white pegasus, followed by other warriors, new Valkyries that she had recruited from across the Nine Realms.
Hope, Hank, Janet, and Cassie all came out to join Scott, all used their Pym Particles to grow in size so they could help combat the Chitauri Leviathans. They had brought a colony of ants with them as well, thousands of oversized ants streaming around them, ready to help take down those that threatened the Earth.
The X-Men and the Brotherhood came out together.
Alien ships, about a hundred or more- the Ravagers, the Nova Corps, and the other aliens that wanted to be a part of this final stand.
The groups and individuals from around the world also came through those orange portals.
From the sky, a comet came rushing towards them when it suddenly pivoted, running itself through several of the large ships that were floating in Earth's atmosphere, harnessing the energy as it flew through. Colonel Danvers' voice rang out through everyone's comms, which had been quickly connected by Tony's various AI's; "Am I late to the party?"
Fury's voice echoed back. "Just in time, Colonel. I am releasing the flerken now." The various aliens that had their comms suddenly connected to the humans, let out horrified noises. "To everyone who doesn't know, don't fuck with the orange cat." Goose, just to make her point clear, darted forward and swallowed a huge alien that had broken free from its chains and ignored the fact that Thanos hadn't ordered an attack.
"Got it," warbled a startled and unnerved voice, "don't fuck with the cat."
And with that, all hell broke loose, both sides charging at one another. Captain Marvel had gone Binary at some point, having absorbed enough energy from exploding those ships. Magneto was focusing on crumpling the Chitauri's Leviathans as the Ant-Man group brought them down. Professor X were stopping countless aliens where they stood, confusing them and making them attack one another.
A young woman in a squirrel costume as absolutely obliterating anyone who crossed her path. Deadpool, who had brought this girl with him, saying something about it being a hilarious little shout out, was happily wielding his katana without a care. While he was glad to wear his red suit to hide his blood, but it was so rude of the Outriders to have blue colored blood that clashed with his outfit.
Goose was happily trotting around, tail straight up, tentacles swirling as she had one of the biggest meals that she's had in a good long while.
The Falcon helped the Valkyries with air support, the Amazons and Hunters quickly joining their fellow female warriors with twin calls to war. The Hunters were joined by their goddess Artemis, the goddess was in her twenty year old form, silvery eyes sharp and auburn hair tied back in a long braid. The Amazons were graced with Hylla and Reyna's mother Bellona, the goddess shining in her armor, her black hair and eyes piercing and calculating.
Bucky easily took to the laser gun that Rocket had thrust upon him, joining the Guardians to fight, a screaming tree by his side.
The Iron Legion and Tony's extra personal suits were cleaving enemies down left and right, leaving swaths of the dead behind them.
Suddenly, in between the Greeks and Romans, a large crack formed in the earth, scattering the Greeks and making the Romans shift their formations, but they were well enough trained to stay together. A sense of foreboding seemed to emerge from the crack, clawed legs that were green and yellow furrowing into the dirt to pull itself up. What emerged was an absolutely humongous reptilian beast, two large crests on either side of its head flared up in intimidation as its shrieking roar shook the ground. The thing must have been over 180 feet long and absolutely terrifying. On its back sat Damasen, who is a good 20 feet tall, once again in control of his tamed Maeonian drakon. Another person was on its back, quickly jumping off as soon as the ground closed behind them. His Einstein hair, long beard, and purely silver eyes giving off a crazed look, especially since he, a 10 foot tall being, was brandishing an oversized broom. Beside him was his ever loyal, now fully grown, saber tooth tiger animated skeleton, Small Bob. Iapetus had remembered, and upon feeling the call from one of the demigods that was nice to him, that he sacrificed his life for, he answered, ready to use his powers as the Titan of Pain to help out the good in the world, no matter if he wanted to be peaceful. He could have his peace after this battle.
Meanwhile the original Avengers ganged up against Thanos, tag teaming him. As soon as one got a hit in, another would take their place, never once letting up, never once giving mercy, just like Thanos never did.
When Thanos lay broken and bleeding, his dream dead in the water like he would soon be, he talked to the Avengers who surrounded him in an echo of them surrounding Loki after the invasion. "Why must you fight back. Wouldn't it have been easier to just accept your fate?" Thanos tiredly muttered.
Tony scoffed. "We humans don't take things just lying down. We formed a whole team to avenge the wrongs done to us, for fucks sake. Death doesn't just take without it being due- do you really think that making more paperwork for someone you want to woo is a good idea? She's death and the only being that I know of that she truly cares about it Deadpool, and you're the one who cursed him to live, so I don't really think that you're in her good graces."
"But I am inevitable-" Thanos forced out, trying to move quick enough to grab an Infinity Stone from one of the Avengers.
"And I am Iron Man." Tony retorted. "And he is one angry alien."
Thanos could feel as someone approached from behind. A human voice sounded- "You took my parasite, my darling, from me." Thor and a suddenly transformed Hulk grabbed Thanos' arms. Suddenly he could feel that person behind him change shape- and that was the last thing he felt as his head was bitten off by an angry bonded symbiote.
"AND HE WILL NEVER TAKE ME AWAY FROM US AGAIN EDDIE," purred Venom, licking his teeth. "HIS BRAIN DID TASTE OF PSYCHOPATH, A TRUE BAD GUY. WE ARE THE LETHAL PROTECTOR!"
Stephen Strange quickly came in front of the Avengers, opening a portal into the Wakandan castle. "Percy is about to crash- I had used the Time Stone to see over 14 million futures and you guys can save her." The Avengers quickly snapped to attention, following the Sorcerer Supreme. In the castle there were several other sorcerers, including Wong, using their magic to help stabilize Percy until the Avengers could come.
Steve instinctively paused her time stream, keeping her fully in stasis. Bruce pumped power into her veins, nudging her body to use it to heal. Natasha manipulated reality so that the wounds would disappear. Vision brought over some salt water and ambrosia Fury had brought to him, the super spy slipping into the portal Strange made as the Doctor had alerted him as well. Fury stood by the door of the healing wing, ready to protect his one of his pseudo daughters while she was down, no matter if it was a god trying to get to her. Mrs. O'Leary had shadow travelled into the room as well, laying her hulking mass on the floor by Percy, her nose nudged up underneath Percy's limp hand. Her eyes were big and wet, waiting for her master to wake and pet her.
Outside the war was petering out, the Gods that had united from across the world fighting off the last of the ships, Ravagers and the Nova Corps that had been spread around Earth quickly pulling up bodies and ship parts in their tractor beams so that they could be properly disposed of.
With the victorious screech of the Maeonian drakon, the Avengers knew that the battle was done. But Percy wasn't healing fully, even with the Stones to help. No mortal was made to handle a Stone, much less all of them. And the Stones weren't made to heal, they could only be Commanded to do so. Right now, no one was stepping forward to control them, especially after they wanted to be free. Time was holding her in place as long as it could.
And then, the doors opened to the healing wing. In the entryway was Iapetus, Bob. He bent himself at the waist, making sure to not bump his head on the doorframe. He straightened up his ten foot frame, leaving his broom-spear at the door. Small Bob stalked around the table that held Percy, skeleton tail swishing. He settled himself next to Mrs. O'Leary so that Bob could access her other side. Steve steps in front of Percy, blocking the Titan's way.
"If you do not step away from my grand-niece, I will do so." The Titan lord of mortal life rumbled. Iapetus remembered now, knew who Percy was to him. As she was the granddaughter of his sister Aphrodite, she was family. But more than that, she was a friend. When he heard the Stone call for the protection of Earth, he wanted to answer. He could feel that it was Perseus Jackson, one of the Stone whispering about her history, how his sister was desperate to hide her granddaughter in order to protect her. Now, seeing his grand niece injured and seeing her mortal life slowly slipping away, he knew that he had to do something. If not for all that she did for him, but the fact that his sister would rain hell down upon him if she found out he could have done something yet did not. He did not want to mess with his sister when she decided to go all war goddess on him, especially when she declared hit out of love.
Thor grabbed Steve, allowing Iapetus to reach out and heal the demigod on the table. He oh so gently ran his fingers across her burns, healing them. For where the Stones were placed, he held his palm to the area, focusing on bringing life back to those places. To get at her neck and back, he sat on the bed, sat her up, and nestled her face into his shoulder, holding her tenderly as he took care of her. Silvery scars now webbed across her skin, each one tinted very slightly the color of the Stone that did the damage. Once he was finished, he gently laid her back down, giving her hair a caring stroke. Small Bob hopping up onto the table to lay himself across her chest, starting to purr- which was weird because he was just a skeleton. But cat purrs are healing, so they let the cat be.
The Time Stone stopped Percy's stasis now that she was healed. Stephen created another portal, allowing Bucky, Wanda, Pietro, and Sam to come in as he knew that the fighting was one. Bucky quickly pushed his way past the people surrounding Percy, quickly falling to his knees and grabbing the hand that wasn't on her dog. "I can feel her again," Bucky managed to get out before she broke into sobs, finally allowing himself to get out of his Winter Soldier mindset that he forced himself into in order to fight this battle.
The Avengers now knew that they knew that they were soulmates and were having them on- but as of right now, it wasn't the time to get on their case about their shenanigans.
Minutes ticked by, Bucky's sobs calmed down. "She's waking up," he whispered. Percy shifted, her hand tightening in Bucky's grasp, her other moving to gently pet her dog.
Sea green eyes fluttered open. "Did someone get the number of the train that hit me?"
