It's not that I didn't want to see him, because I did. I just didn't want to seem desperate. shooting down Calum's first proposal wouldn't hurt, would it?

Calum had asked me to meet him somewhere but I had said I was busy just to let him know I was not desperate. (I was) I immediately regretted it, because I really wanted to meet my internet crush. Sighing, I sat alone in my room for my third weekend out of the hospital. I had had nothing to do besides go to school ever since I got out. I wanted to get my homework done, but I just couldn't find the motivation. So I watched Stranger Things on Netflix for the whole day.

Some time around seven PM, my mother called me out for dinner.

"Michael, what have you done today? Did you get your work done? No! You stayed in that bed all day and watched T.V. I'm so done trying to help you! Either be responsible and do what is expected of you or I'm sending you away." Karen then proceeded to say a prayer and started to eat. But I was furious. I said nothing, and ate quietly. When I was done, I cleaned up the kitchen like always, and tried to block my anger, which didn't exactly work. Seething with anger, I decided to take a shower. But that didn't calm me down either. My anger was explosive, at times, and hard to control. I was just so mad that Karen would assume that I wasn't trying to get better. 

So I called Calum.

"Hey, Michael, what's up? You never call me," Calum laughed into the phone.

"I'm really mad right now and you're the only person I can think of that can calm me down." I admitted.

"But I thought you were busy hanging out with your friends today, why are you mad?"

I sighed, "I just said that so you wouldn't think I'm desperate to see you. Because I really really want to meet you, I just-"

"Michael, it's okay. I understand. I'll pick you up, you sound like you need a friend. Text me your address." We said our goodbyes and hung up.

"Yeah," I sighed to myself. "A friend."
