They have already finished eating..

"I have always been greedy in everything I do,I just wanted to be rich so I followed every possible way to become rich but still no way was working,then I joined armed robbery but I got caught"

"Life is too short to keep saying that I will stop a bad habit tomorrow,stop it immediately because maybe you won't be granted to see tomorrow"

"If you do good,you will see good and if you do bad,you will see bad"

Hamisu stopped talking as he looked at his daughter who was smiling brightly at him and the image of her mother flashed into his soul,she looks so much like her mom..

"Mubin":Hamisu called and he replied with a "yes"..

"I have many children but Farrah is the only one who visits me,don't make the same mistake that I made,do good and see good":he said smiling sadly..

Farrah looked at her dad knowing fully well that he miss her mom alot and he also want to ask for her forgiveness but her mom being the stern lady with the "I will never change my decision attitude" is not budging no matter how much Farrah will plead..

"Mubin had I been the one who got a 1% chance to rectify for my mistakes I will agree in a blur,a 1% chance can bring back your eyes,you just have too keep praying Mubin,there's nothing that Allah cannot do,don't waste your opportunity because opportunity comes but once":Hamisu said smiling..

Mubin felt like agreeing because he also wants his eyes back but the memories of the past,the house that he grew up,every single bad memory came back to his brain and he felt his head aching as he kept on turning his head sideways..

"It is not compulsory Mubin":Hamisu said after he saw how Mubin was reacting..

The police man who was by the door looked at his watch and he sprinted inside standing with a frown etched on his face..

"It is already time Ms Farrah and Mr Mubin":he said looking at them..

"Dad you should take care of yourself,mom is sending her greetings":Farrah said smiling..

He nodded his head smiling..

"And I really enjoyed today's lessons":She said smiling..

"Thank you so much":Mubin said smiling and then Hamisu was dragged outside..

"May God bless you two,May Allah fulfill all your wishes":Hamisu said before he disappeared into the long small corridor that leads to the cells..

"Amin":both of them mouthed..

She have always loved it when her dad pray for her because she is sure that when you have your parent's prayer then you have everything..

Farrah sadly smiled and then she held Mubin's stick as she dragged him..

"Their's is something called "informing"

"You should have informed me before dragging me":Mubin mouthed annoyed..

Farrah kept quite the whole time till they reached the car..

They got inside and she was still quite..

"You know dad is now a changed man and he wants to ask for his family's forgiveness,feel their warmth and spend time with them especially my mom,she was the one who stood by him and took every single bad habit of his,she even tried to change him"

"Dad wants to see mom and ask for her forgiveness for all times he kept on beating her and for all the lies he have told her,all the unfulfilled promises,all the fake love,all the shattered hopes,he wants to apologize but mom is not budging"

"I know that dad have made a lot of mistakes but everyone deserves a second chance and nobody is above mistakes"

"My dad regrets that he wasn't able to take care of his wives and kids,he didn't take care of the house expenses,food material,clothes and medicine when we were sick,school tuitions"

"He wants to do it but he have no chance because all his family have left him,and all of us have grown up,the least he can do is spend time with us and give us advices,but neither of my siblings are making any effort of coming to visit him even if it is once"

"I know that my dad is hurting inside":Farrah said as she hiccuped..

The pain was unbearable and she needed to say it,she didn't even know when or how she started telling him her deepest secret,which even she herself always try to hide it at the safest corner of her heart,where no one can see it even her but today she needed to tell someone how she is feeling..

"I didn't get my father's love at all and I really wanted it that was why I came to visit dad years ago and you have to see how happy he was that day,he was very happy and that made me promise to always visit him and spend time with him when am free"

Farrah sobbed as she put her hand on her face closing it to muffle the sound of her cries,she wants her dad to be given a second chance,she doesn't want him to keep burying himself in grief and yearning of his family's forgiveness and love,he is trying to do the right thing for once and she wants him to rectify for his mistakes..

Mubin kept quite as he listened to her frequent sobs and sniffs..

One thing that he doesn't like is invading someone's privacy and he knows that she need time to cry so he will let her cry for as long as she wants..

Well like for 20 minutes..

"Farrah":he called her name after some minutes..

"Do you have a tap inside your eyes"

"No":she said in a little husky voice due to her crying session..

"Is it that your tears never end?"

"They do"

"Then why are you still crying?"

"Nothing"

"You know you need to keep your tears intact for the day you and your family are going to visit your dad and make him happy,he will feel the warmth of his family,he will give you advices and then you will stand up and smile proudly then tears of joy will roll down your cheeks"

"Don't waste your tears,they are precious":Mubin said smiling..

Farrah smiled brightly and her eyes twinkled at the thought of this happening..

"Mubin you are the best consoler of the world":She said clapping her hands..

She scrambled into her bag and bought out a bar of snickers..

"I hereby declare Mubin Rafiq Talaq as the best consoler of the world":she said smiling as she hand him the chocolate bar..

"Here is your trophy":she said smiling as he opened his hands and she kept it..

"Thank you most annoying person in the world":he said smiling and she eyes him..

"I just eyed you":she said looking at the street and then smiling at the driver who was trying to stifle his laugh..

"Take":Mubin said handing her quarter of the chocolate bar..

"Malam Sani take some also":he said handing him quarter also..

"No thank you":Malam Sani said smiling..

"Malam Sani take it":Mubin said frowning and the driver quickly collected it..

"Farrah that day is surely coming soon Insha Allah":Mubin said smiling..

"Yes Mubi":she said smiling teasingly waiting for his reply which never came but she just earned a chuckle..

"I gave you a new nick name and you didn't say anything":She chirped..

"I love the name Far":he said laughing..

She laughed also and they all kept quite..

The journey continued in silence both of them engrossed in their thoughts..

"Drop me off first then drop her at the hospital":Mubin said to the driver and he nodded..

"Am going home so I will take a bus,you will drop me in the next bus stop":She said and the driver nodded..

"No their is no way that you can do that":Mubin said tiredly..

"Why?":she questioned..

"You won't understand":He said sinking into his sit..

"Am I dumb?"

"Did you hear a story saying that I used to take last?"

"Is my brain no more functioning?"

"Why won't I understand":she said holding her waist..

"And yes I just held my waist in annoyance":she shouted the last part..

"The answer of all your questions is a capital "YES":he said trying to hide his smile..

"The main reason is you are my priority now,it is already evening,how can I let you go alone":he said smiling..

She kept quite as she huffed in annoyance and turned her head to the windows to look at the trees whirling and dancing to the tunes of the air..

"Hello":Malam Sani said dragging there attention..

Silence..

"Of course yes ma'am":he said increasing his speed..

"Ma'am said that she wants inside the house in 3 minutes or else she will fire me":he informed increasing his speed..

Farrah looked at Mubin who closed his eyes in a relaxed manner as if nothing is wrong..

"Your mom wants to see you now and you are still relaxed,you know you are in trouble when this kind of thing happen":She said looking at him..

"I know her,nothing is wrong and after all I didn't do anything wrong"

"I didn't steal"

"I didn't break anything"

"I did try making the maid's life a living hell to the extent that she resigned"

He kept on listing things he haven't done and Farrah kept on looking at him like someone who have gone nuts..

"Oh yeah":she heard him say..

"Maybe he realized what he did wrong":she mouthed to herself..

"What have you done":she asked..

"I became your friend":he said laughing loudly..

She finds his laughter cute but not now..

"What do you mean,is it a mistake to become my friend?":she said as her nose flared..

"My nose just flared":she informed him and he laughed..

"This is one of my reasons,becoming your friend is an amazing thing as long as that friend knows how to annoy you":he said looking at her and again she felt like he can see her..

"I feel like you can see me":she said looking at him..

"That is because I look at people's exact direction through their voice,I was thought":he said wiggling his eyebrow..

"You just wiggled your eye brow":she informed him smiling and he face palmed himself..

"Now you are telling me what I did which I know":he said laughing and she also laughed at her stupidity..

She turned around and she let out a scream after realizing that they have already passed the bus stop,scratch that they are already inside a big mansion..

"Now what!":Mubin said with a frown..

"We have already passed the bus stop and we are inside a big beautiful house,with beautiful different colored flowers,with something like roundabout which have water oozing out of one beautifully shaped mental like something,a beautiful gazebo with chairs and wow I think that is a garden,the house is colored ————

"This is our house":he said rolling his eyes at her description..

"This big house":she shouted looking at him as he opened the car door and stepped out..

She also jumped off looking at the house in awe,she have seen many beautiful big mansions but she have never seen a mansion like this one,it is so perfect,everything about it is elegant..

A woman of about 45 years old elegantly walked to them smiling brightly..

"Bin Rafiq":the woman said hugging him lightly..

"Mamitah I missed you so much today,my head is aching I really need your famous special massage":he said smiling like a little baby..

"I will do that for you but first you have go and freshen up,eat the food I prepared specially for you and then go and greet your grandma":She said holding his cheeks as she moved them along with his head..

"You are such a baby":The woman giggled..

"Okay and I can't believe that no one told me that grandma was coming":he said happily..

"It was a surprised but you weren't around that was why I asked Sani to come fast":she said smiling as she looked at him..

Farrah smiled at their bond..

"And who is this young beautiful maiden"

"My God Mubin did you finally find your Ms Right":she cooed..

"Am so happy,hello am Mubin's mother":she said hugging Farrah..

"Mamitah I have always told you to stop jumping into conclusion,this is Dr.Farrah my therapist":he said..

"And Far this is my mom":he said smiling..

"Good afternoon or is it already evening":Farrah said chuckling lightly..

"Wait!!!":Mamitah shouted..

Farrah looked at the woman anxiously as she looked at her up and down then she glared at Mubin who have facepalmed himself..

"Don't tell me that you came here because you can't handle him":Mamitah blurted..

"Bin Talaq this is like the 50th therapist that can't handle you":she said glaring at him..

Farrah looked at Mubin who rolled his eyes as she tried to stop her laugh from coming out..

"She can't be serious,50 is not a small number":Farrah said to herself..

"Okay am exaggerating but you have rejected many,please don't be among them"She said smiling at Farrah who returned the gesture..

"Mamitah Dr Farrah is my 6th therapist,and she is not backing out":Mubin said scratching his eyebrow..

"Oh that was such a relief,come in":she said dragging both of them inside the house..

And Farrah was left in awe once again after entering the elegant Milk and golden parlor..

"I will get some refreshments":she said hurriedly walking to the kitchen..

Farrah drew herself closer to Mubin who was sitting on the other chair..

"Why does your mom call you Bin Talaq Mubi":she asked..

"It means son of Talaq,am my father's son":he said and she rolled her eyes..

"I know,I meant to say why is she calling you that":she explains..

"Because she finds it cute and when I was young I don't like being called anything apart from that even now":he said smiling cutely..

"And here you go":she said keeping the refreshments then poured the content and handed me the glass..

"Mamita I will go to my room and rest for a while,you should wait for me I will come in some minutes and escort you home":he said trying to look at her direction but failed because she didn't talk she nodded her head..

She realized that she haven't replied him and he was still looking at the space..

"I just nodded my head":she informed and his eyes briskly turn to her direction as he smiled a little..

He nodded his head as he walked to his room without kicking anything..

"He knows the place by heart,that is why we don't change the arrangement":Mamitah informed her and she smiled..

"So is he improving?":Mamitah asked becoming serious..

"Yes he is opening up to me a little even though he didn't tell me anything about his last or how he lost his eyes but eventually we will go there"

"I noticed that the reason why he doesn't want this surgery is not because it is only 1% chance,there's something"

Farrah turned to her professional self..

"Mubin said that he doesn't need a therapy he just needs someone who understands him,I think all of this is from the friends he keep"

"He doesn't have friends,all of them become his friends because of money,they don't listen to his problems or anything":Mamitah said sighing..

They kept quite for a while,Farrah looked at the television which was working,it was like a dancing competition because people were just dancing..

"Am not his real mother":Mamitah said making Farrah look at her..

"Am his mother's sister,after his parent's dead all his father's relatives didn't want to have anything that has to do with him because his mom killed his dad,even in our side everybody was just saying stupid excuses,me and my husband were very poor that time and his dad left alot of wealth for him so we decided to take him in since am not able to give birth,then my husband manages his companies and properties,we said that we will hand it to him when he grows up then after he grew up he said he wanted nothing from his wealth,he will join the company and work and earn from that,it is enough for him"

"He wasn't blind from birth,after his mom was hanged he was in a trauma,like he watched his mom stab his dad with a-knife and then he watched his mom being hanged,it is traumatic so sometimes he goes out for run which he still does,one day he went out then after coming back he lied down in his father's favorite parlor but unfortunately the chandelier fell on him,we moved him before it fell on him but when he opened his eyes a few glasses have entered,we hurriedly took him to the hospital and the glasses were removed after a surgery but then he couldn't see and that is it"

"I still remember the way he held my hand scared of the darkness that engulfed him,he was just saying that "Aunty Khadija I cannot see you,where are you?",he kept on saying that he want his eyes back and then he finally gave up":she said crying sadly..

Farrah looked at her as she went closer and hugged her trying to console her..

Perhaps we are all strong because everybody goes through alot silently..
