She sighted frustratedly as she looked at the gowns that were carefully placed on the her bed,it is Sunday and as planned they are going on a date with Walid but her problem for now is that she can't seem to choose something to wear,she wants to look nice,she doesn't do this often but with him she just can't skip those feelings..

She looked at the gowns which were all beautiful as she looked at the clock,that was what she has been doing all day maybe it was because she couldn't wait for 7:30 so that she can go out with him..

She silently sprawled to the parlor meeting her mom watching star guide,their monthly subscription has finished and both of them haven't received their salary yet so they have to bear with watching star guide for the mean time..

"Mama am going out in the evening today":she informed her sitting down..

"Dr. Walid is treating me for dinner":she finished nervously..

"You can go":Her mom said after a series of silence..

"Having a problem with what to wear":her mom asked smiling..

"Yes":she said pouting her lips a little..

"When last did you go out on a date":he mom asked standing up..

Yes they discuss all those kind of things with her mom..

"I dated only once mom":she answered trailing behind her as they entered her room..

"Gosh":her mom said letting out a hearty laugh..

"Did he break your heart":her mom asked scrutinizing the gowns..

"Rather I broke his heart":Farrah said tiredly..

"You know I dated many guys before marrying your dad":her mom said laughing..

"Their must be one that you loved the most among them right":Farrah said getting torolly interested in the topic..

"Of course":Her mom said putting the green gown on Farrah's body to see how it looked on her..

"Tell me about it Mama":Farrah smiled cheerfully..

"He was the son of the richest man in our area,he was very nice and smart,we met in the market my mom asked me to go and buy biscuit and loli for my little cousin who came for yaye, I went their and my money didn't reach so he helped me and then said that I should pay him when we meet next,with that we became friends and fell in love":she said reminiscing their moments..

"Wow":Farrah said smiling..

She didn't ask her how they got separated..

"This black one looks good,match it up with a red veil":Her mom said standing up as she sprinted out..

"Thank you":Farrah shouted carrying the gown..

She took her bath got ready and prayed maghrib them fixed her veil as she awaited for his arrival..

She waited for a while then a message popped in..

I can't make it,maybe next time..

She was hooked after seeing the message,she looked at the mirror her little red lipstick and a little mascara and eyeliner,she did all this for him and he didn't come..

She trudged outside the house saying a good bye to her mom as she went out and walked on the street..

How could she tell her mom that it was canceled at the last minute..

"Dr. Farrah":she heard a familiar voice..

She turned without wasting time and she saw her favorite patient smiling..

"Am getting scared of you,how did you know it was me":She asked with amusement etched in her voice..

All her anger flushed down after seeing him..

"From your scent":he said smiling..

"Ya Allah":she shouted..

"What is wrong":he hurriedly asked..

"You look so handsome in blue,Oh my almighty":she said smiling..

"Thank you":he said smiling..

"You must be wondering what am wearing,a black gown and red veil with a little simple makeup":she said cheerfully..

"Let me lead you":she said holding his stick..

"You must be looking so beautiful":he said smiling..

"Believe me when I say am not beautiful":she said simply shrugging..

"Half of your beauty comes from the way you speak":he said as he sit on the public chair..

"I want to see the lady who says all those beautiful things":he said smiling..

"Where were you going?":he asked..

"I had a date to go to but it got cancelled":she said sadly..

"Oh sorry about that":he said adjusting his cap..

"It is okay":she said smiling..

"What do you think about today's weather":she said smiling..

"Great and refreshing":he smiled..

"But where's that man that used to hold your stick,how can you be roaming around alone":she asked curiously..

"Well let's say I wanted to be alone so I send him away":he said laughing a little..

"Even though am sure he is lagging around here,he won't ever leave me alone,Mamitah will kill him":he said laughing..

She laughed at what he said..

She looked around and yes she saw the car behind one of the trees,she didn't want to burst his bubble so she kept shut..

"I think I am disturbing you since you wanted to be alone":she said standing up..

"No I need to be wisdom talkers like you":he said laughing..

"Can you marry a blind man":he asked out of the blue..

"Yes I can as long as he loves me truly":she said after thinking for a while..

"But he won't see you to tell you how beautiful you look":he reasoned..

"He can touch my face and feel my long nose,my eyes and my lips and cheeks too":she said smiling..

"People like you are rare":he said smiling..

"I don't get to hear that every day":she laughed in an appreciating manner..

"Do you have a gf?":she asked..

"No"

"But you must have many girls crushing on you"

"Yes"

"But after knowing that am blind they all disappear in a fast motion":he said laughing..

"You know you are very handsome":she just felt the need to tell him that..

He was quite for a long time searching for a reply..

"Tell me how I look":he smiled..

"Soft fulani hair,well shaped full eyebrow,big fish like eyes,long nose,and well carved small pinkish lips with a beard and a little mustache":she described smiling..

"Wow I must be so handsome":he said happily..

"Well Adamawa is the land of beauty so what were you expecting":she said smiling..

"When you hear about beauty what comes to your mind?":he asked..

"It is a force of attraction that forces us to someone before getting to know the person":she said..

"Um right": he smiled..

"I will like to take you somewhere tomorrow":she informed..

"Where?":he asked curiously..

"To the prison to meet my dad, I go to see him every Monday so I will take you along":she said smiling..

"Gladly":he said bowing his head..

They continued talking about random things as they laugh at some and smile at some..

Perhaps it is better that Walid didn't come..
