Guys! Guys- Netflix....Netflix has done a things and it's amazing. It's controvercial in the best way. They produced a movie called 'Don't Look Up' starring Leanardo DiCaprio and featuring Ariana grande but that's not the important part. The important part is: it's about a meteor being discovered that's heading straight for earth, but the media doesn't care therefor no one cares. It's advertised as a lighthearted comedy and on that grading scale it flopped. But it hold so much more weight than that.

It's perfect at describing (pretty accuratly in my oppinion) the way the media would react to something as huge as A meteor is going to hit earth and it's an extinction level event. The issue it brought to light by two low-level atronomers, and since they don't have a following, since they aren't known, and since they don't have a platform, they can't/won't be taken seriously. So the media doesn't get their story out, the president tells them to 'sit tight and evaluate' and nothing happened until ultimatly, spoilers, everyone dies.

You'd have to watch it, I can't describe how amazing this movie is. Now it isn't the best quality, it hasn't been avertised... obviously Netflix knew this wasn't going to be a huge movie, but it's message is amazing. Whether they intended it that way, or I'm just reading too far into things again, I love it. I highly recomend it, I would love for you guys to watch it and tell me what you think! Whether you think the message I'm inturpreting is comleatly crazy, or if netflix wanted it to be this way, or if they're sitting on a piece of genius that needs to be advertised!
