Small Bites

A/N: I know, I know.  You are all tired of vampire jaya.  Last few one-shots of this universe.  Warning: extra spicy 🌶

Jay reeled back in surprise, his footing stumbling until he hit the wall of the elevator in the posh hotel. Nya rushed to fill the void of his wake, bracing her hands on either side of his head, caging him in.

"Nya, I think you drank too much," he tried lamely, eyes growing wide as she sized him up. Her head tilted to the side, grin on her face sharp and bright, and she looked downright predatory.

Jay did his best to not let her see him gulp.

"I think I had just the right amount," she purred. His heart skipped a beat then continued to thunder in his chest.

"Can we at least get back to our room?"

As much as he wanted to jump her bones right now, he wasn't interested in putting on a show.

"Hmmm," Nya hummed, feigning consideration, lightly tapping her pointer finger to her cheek, "but I'm hungry."

"You can't wait thirty seconds?" He asked, already knowing the answer.

She smiled at him in response, her fingers gliding through his auburn locks, gripping tight as she yanked his head to the side. Nya assaulted his exposed neck with gentle kisses and licks, languishing in the light shocks he traded back.

"Mmmm, you are extra electrifying today."

His eyes darted to the clock hand over the elevator doors, slowly arcing over the numbers of the floors they were passing. Only ten left to go.

"Twenty more seconds and I will give you a light show," he huffed out.

"No," her voice tickled his skin, "now." Her fangs sunk down into their favorite vein and he couldn't suppress the gasp that fluttered out of his lungs. Nya drank fast then broke away, crashing her lips to his. She tasted coppery and salty, his blood mixed with her essence, a forbidden fruit. Her tongue slid in, messaging his, taunting him to shock her off.

He was vaguely aware that the elevator was almost at their floor. She broke the kiss, returning to the puncture wound for one more taste, enjoying the low growl that vibrated in his lungs.

The elevator slowed to a halt, followed by a ding and doors whooshing open. Nya pried herself off of him, spinning around and facing forward, fangs hidden and a sweet smile on her face as she greeted the family that alighted the elevator.

Jay tried to focus, stifling his breaths as he grabbed his neck and peeled off the wall, staggering for balance. His other arm wrapped around her shoulders, righting himself as he too put on a fake smile.

"Going up?" The dad of the family asked.

Jay tried not to laugh. At this rate he was on a direct path to hell.

oOo

When her breath has come back to her and her heart is no longer racing, she leans forward, bracing her weight on his shoulders, mirroring his dopey grin. His eyes are glazed over, barely focused on her as he fights falling into slumberland.

"I'm so hungry," she purrs, or whines, he is too tired to tell the difference.

His hands return to her hips but his grip is weak. "I thought you wanted to cuddle?" He reminds her, then "if you feed now I really will pass out."

"But your blood is full of oxytocin," she murmurs, eyeing his neck, watching the veins flutter under his skin with each breath that he takes. She licks her lips as he sucks in a soft moan.

"And other stuff that will put you asleep too," he counters.

"You are putty in my hands right now, fully relaxed and boneless. How will you stop me?" She leans forward more, tracing her fangs down his neck.

"Shock you, or something," he whispers, fighting back a yawn.

Her tongue sweeps out, connecting the dots of the freckles on his neck. "I'll take what I want, then wake you back up for more."

"And how do you propose doing that?"

She bucks her hips and he doesn't try to hide the growl that vibrates in his throat. "You are going to have to wait, like, a few more minutes for that," he informs her.

"But I hate waiting," she breaths into his neck, then sinks in her fangs.

"Oh ninja chips," he hisses, hands gripping tight into the soft flesh around her hips, his own breath coming to a halt. She hums, enjoying the feed, enjoying that he is completely under her control. His blood is laced with amazing endorphins, not normally found there after a fierce battle, and she has to fight against the intense hunger that is raging inside her. Nya breaks away, begrudgingly, knowing she can only have a little taste or he really will faint from the blood loss.

"Ahh," his hand shoots up to rub the puncture wounds, eyes wide and muscled chest heaving, "I thought you were joking. What happened to once a month?"

She sits back up and tilts her head to the side, slowly cleaning her fangs with her tongue. "I got greedy," she shrugs unrepentantly. She chews the bottom of her lip, enjoying the show of Jay fighting to control his labored breathing as he glares at her. "At least I woke you up."

"Ha ha," he sasses back, annoyed at her teasing. After a moment he regains his composure and a sly smile creeps across his face. Nya feels her proverbial heart drop into the pit of her stomach. She knows that mischievous look— a look that spells bad news for her.

"Jay wait—,"

Her body freezes in place, paralyzed from his hands glowing blue. In one swift movement he flips them over, forearms slamming down on either side of her head, caging her in. He yawns again, this time showing her lightning crackling and popping inside his mouth, warning her to not even think of moving.

"If you want this kind of blood," his voice is pitched low, almost a growl, "all you had to do was ask." He brushes a few strands of hair out of her face, watching as she swallows down the knots in her stomach. "These activities are way more fun than pretending to fight you on the battlefield."

She smiles, showing off her fangs. "But I want both."
