Well lets start with what aired first.

Gravity Falls episode "Roadside Attraction" was Dipper being a douche bag to ladies of his age. Another ending summary was 

CANDY X DIPPER FINALLY HAPPENED I HAVE BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR THIS TO HAPPEN!!!!

ANY WHO! Some theories that I came up with were that Dipper's confidence will help him in the future, and that the one action of bonding between Dipps and Stanley, will definitely be something to worry or care about.
