Ellie was frantic as she threw blouse upon blouse onto her bed, not able to figure out what to wear for her date with Taehyung tonight. Grayson was running around her room, trying to turn on the small lamp that sat on the end table next to her bed.

"On." He shouted and Ellie continued to ignore him. The babysitter was supposed to be here soon and Ellie still didn't know what to wear. She felt the slight buzz from her phone as she pulled it out and felt her stomach drop at the notification. Unlocking her screen she quickly texted Taehyung.

Ellie: babysitter will be late...about 40 minutes. Is that still ok?

She prayed that he wouldn't reschedule as she had been looking forward to this night all week! Her project at work went the best that it could and her date with Taehyung was going to be the icing on the cake.

Tae: of course that's ok! I was still trying to figure out what to wear anyway ;)

Ellie laughed at how similar they both were and then felt small arms wrap around her leg. She looked down and saw that Grayson's cheek was a little bigger than it normally was.

"What are you eating?" She said and he just smiled at her. "Ahhhhh, spit it out baby."

Grayson opened his mouth, letting one of her earrings fall out and onto the floor. Ellie let out a sigh and picked him up.

"Let's get you in the bath ok?" She said as he walked into the bathroom.

"Bath?" Grayson said with wide eyes.

Ellie closed the bathroom door and started to fill up the tub along with some bubble bath. Grayson was trying to pull himself up the sink so he could look in the mirror.

"Here baby. Let me help." Ellie grabbed the stool that was nearby and set it down so he could step on top and see the sink. He reached for his toothbrush so his mother helped him to put toothpaste on it so he could brush his teeth.

Once the tub was full, Ellie got Grayson undressed and placed in the bath.

"Bubbles!" Grayson exclaimed and Ellie grabbed a handful and with a deep breath, blew them everywhere earning giggles from her son. She laughed as well as the two made bubble beards and mohawks. Taking out her phone, she snapped a quick picture of him and sent it to Taehyung. He always loved seeing pictures of her son and Ellie was more than happy to share.

Tae: I've said it before and I will say it again...that kid is so damn cute!!

Ellie: Thank you! :D

After she had washed his hair and made sure there was nothing stuck behind his ears, Ellie pulled the plug on the drain and wrapped Grayson in a towel. When they reached his bedroom, Ellie laid him down in the ground so she could get his clothes on him for the evening, but as soon as his back hit the carpet, he started squirming and crying.

"Grayson, stop it now. We need to get your diaper on." Ellie said in a calm but firm voice, but the little boy refused to be still.

After fighting with him for about 20 minutes, she finally managed to get some pajamas on him when she heard the doorbell. The babysitter was finally here and she let out a sigh of relief. Picking up the whiny boy, she headed downstairs and let him run around for a bit in the living room as she answered the door.

"Hi." Taehyung said as Ellie just stared at him. She had seen his profile pictures and the two had sent a decent amount of pictures back and forth, but to actually see him in person was very different. His blonde hair was slicked back on the sides and his brown eyes were so warm and inviting.

"Oh hi." Ellie said, unable to move.

"Can I come in?" Taehyung asked when she didn't move.

"Yes of course, sorry." Ellie stepped back and he walked inside as she closed the door behind him.

Taehyung turned towards her and gave her a smile.

"It's good to finally meet you." He said as he went in for a hug. Ellie immediately opened her arms being a fairly affectionate person as well. His embrace wasn't awkward at all and she loved the small squeeze he gave her. His cologne wasn't overbearing at all, but the smell of cedarwood filled her nose.

When he pulled back, Ellie finally realized that the babysitter was not here yet and she mentally cursed.

"She should be here any minute. I'm so sorry." Ellie apologized and walked into the living room with Taehyung following her.

"No need to apologize." He said.

Grayson noticed the strange man and stood there, unmoving, staring at him. Taehyung squatted down and gave him a small wave and smile. The young boy ran over to his mother and grabbed hold of her leg, still watching Taehyung. Ellie placed a loving hand on her son's head and brushed the hair from his face.

"He warms up to people pretty fast, don't worry." Ellie reached down and picked him up. "This is Taehyung." She said in a soft tone.

Taehyung held his hand up in front of Grayson.

"Hi buddy. Can I get a high five?" Taehyung mimicked the soft tone of Ellie's voice and watched as Grayson slowly smiled and then smacked the larger hand. "Ya!" Taehyung said and then reached over and tickled Grayson to which the boy squirmed in his mom's arms and let out a small giggle.

"Should we go to bed now?" Ellie asked, but her son's attention was fixed on this new person in their home. "I'm going to put him to bed and hopefully the babysitter will be here soon. Make yourself at home." Ellie told Taehyung.

"Take your time." He said. "Goodnight Grayson." He waved at the little boy as he watched him and his mother walk upstairs.

When they disappeared, Taehyung roamed around the small house. There wasn't a lot of decoration or furniture in this house, but boy, were there toys everywhere. He found himself stopping in front of a bookshelf that has a variety of picture frames. Almost all the pictures were of Grayson. There was a picture of him as a newborn, swaddled tightly, sleeping in his crib and Taehyung felt a small smile appear on his lips. He looked over the rest of the pictures seeing a smiling Ellie holding her son with what Taehyung assumed to be other family members in the pictures. However, he noticed that none of the pictures seemed to have Grayson's father in them. He knew that Ellie was a single mom, but didn't know the details of the situation and he was not going to push her on it. He figured she would tell him when she was ready.

Taehyung turned around when he heard the soft voice of Ellie coming from the baby monitor that was sitting on the couch. He walked over and sat down, turning on the video portion. Grayson was laying down in his bed, with his mom nestled next to him, reading him a book. Taehyung started to remember when he first saw Ellie's profile pop up as a potential match. He thought she was gorgeous and when she saw the adorable picture of her and her son together he knew he had to meet her. He really admired her for not hiding Grayson and being open and upfront about it. When he messaged her for the first time, she reminded him that she had a son and asked if that would be a problem. He laughed a little when he remembered that it would only be a problem if she would refuse to send him cute pictures of him.

Talking with Ellie was easy. It felt as though they had been friends for years, but to be here in her house, he was actually a little nervous. He didn't want to screw this up.

Ellie closed the door to her son's room and quickly went to the bathroom to make sure her hair and makeup wasn't messed up. Then, going to her bedroom, she grabbed the sweater she had picked out for tonight and her shoes and brought them downstairs. She stopped at the bottom when she felt her phone buzz and saw the message from her babysitter.

"Shit." She muttered.

"Are you ok?" Taehyung asked, turning towards her.

"Babysitter had to cancel. Her mom is sick and now she doesn't feel too well." Taehyung watched Ellie's face turn to a defeated expression. "I'm sorry to have to cancel our date like this."

"Who said anything about cancelling?" Taehyung took a couple steps towards her, giving her a sly grin.

"I don't have a babysitter Tae." She said. Ellie started to call him Tae only a couple days after messaging each other and he absolutely loved the pet name.

Taehyung walked right up to her and placed his hands on her shoulders.

"Go upstairs and put on something comfortable. I am going to run home and do the same and bring back a bottle of wine and a movie." Taehyung said. He felt his heart start to beat a little faster when Ellie's frown disappeared and a smile took its place.

"That sounds perfect." She said, but still refused to move. Taehyung's eyes refused to leave her gaze and she was having a hard time believing that someone would actually go through all this trouble just to still spend some time with her.

"Off you go." Taehyung lightly pushed her shoulders so she would head upstairs.

"Ok ok." She said as she playfully rolled her eyes and ran up the stairs to her room.
