35 To my parents

Part 35 To my parents

Night

After dinner, Madhav came to Arnav.

"Major, shall I take Sagar to my room?" he asked his permission.

Arnav looked at him wondering.

"It's been so long since I played video games. I have a PS4 you know? Let us play, Major" he pleaded.

"Tomorrow is your sister's wedding. Remember?"

"It's in the evening only, Major. And I have no role in the wedding programs. Please Major... you guys will leave my house tomorrow. I'm sure Sagar will not come to our house again as you are going to settle down in Delhi. Please let us enjoy"

"I think you should get permission from his mother," Arnav said.

"No way, Major... Aunty won't allow him to be up after 9. That's why I want you to handle her. Please Major."

That was when Sagar came there.

"What are you filling in my Dad's ears?" Sagar asked Madhav.

"Sagar, would you like to play PS with Madhav?" Arnav asked.

"Please say yes, Sagar..." Madhav said.

"Oh... Are we going to play video games? Sagar asked excitedly.

"That's why I'm trying to get permission from your Dad"

"But, mom won't allow me to be woken up"

"You go... I will tell her..." Arnav said.

"Thank you, Dad..."

"Try to come soon. I will wait"

"No Major... He will sleep with me. Don't wait for him" Madhav said.

Arnav nodded ok. They were about to go, and Arnav stopped them.

"I hope you guys are not planning something," he asked contently with a mischievous smile.

"What Dad?"

Arnav gestured like DRINKING. Sagar widened his eyes and nodded no hurriedly.

"Sagar and drinks? Very funny..." Madhav laughed.

Sagar rolled his eyes.

"Honestly speaking Major... I was drunker before I got his friendship"

"Really?"

"Yeah... But after this HANUMAN entered into my life, I became a tea-totaler."

(Hanuman is an epic character of Ramayan. He is the great devotee of lord Ram who followed bachelorhood very strictly)

"Didn't your friends insist you drink in the hostel?" Arnav asked the million-dollar question. He knew guys would not let anyone be GOOD and they would do emotional blackmail.

"Yeah, they did..."

"Then how did you tackle them?"

"He studies well..." Madhav said.

"So?"

"He helps us in our studies. Clears our doubts even at midnight. Many of our friends passed the exams with his help. They forced him to drink in the new year. But, our Hanuman turned the table"

"How?"

"He said, ok, I will drink but hereafter, you guys won't get any help from me. I won't clear any of your doubts. If drinking is more important than your studies, I will surely drink. Chose what you want. But, don't think you can change my mind"

Arnav raised his brows with a slight smile on his face. That expression held amazement, surprise, and pride. How brilliantly this boy handled the situation when many people failed to do that. That was not close to easy.

"After that, no one dared asked him to drink... Our Hanuman put them off with his emotional blackmail. You can send him anywhere in the world. He will come back to you just like how he had been..." Madhav said.

Arnav smiled at Sagar. This boy didn't miss a chance to surprise him. Didn't he? Madhav was right, Sagar could be sent anywhere in the world without fear.

"Let's go Sagar," Madhav said.

"Shall I?" Sagar asked Arnav.

Arnav nodded ok. Sagar went with Madhav. Arnav stood, looking at him feeling so content.

Arnav came to the room.

"Where is Sagar?" Khushi asked.

"He is in Madhav's room"

Khushi frowned.

"Don't think much... He got my permission" Arnav smiled.

"But why?"

"To play Play Station"

"Why did you allow him, Arnav?"

"Why shouldn't I? Go and see, what boys in his age are doing. He is a good boy. He respects us. We should also respect his feelings..."

Khushi sighed.

"Let them enjoy, yaar..."

She smiled.

"I have a doubt..." Arnav said.

"What doubt?"

"That you should have programmed Sagar..."

"Programmed?" Khushi asked with confusion.

"Giving birth to such kind of boy is next to impossible you know. How he is so good? No girlfriend... No bad habits... No extreme level of wishes to enjoy life... He is unbelievable..."

Khushi smiled.

"Only you could get such doubt"

Arnav circled her shoulders.

"We should let him spend with his friends. We will also get some time alone"

"Oh... This is why you sent him with Madhav?" she asked teasingly.

"For this also..." He hugged her waist.

"What if he comes?"

"He won't... Madhav wants him to be with him today as we are going to leave his house tomorrow"

"Then lock the door," Khushi said.

Arna looked at her, jerking.

"I'm sleepy..." She said controlling her smile.

"Sleepy...? What a great chance our son has given to us... Are you going to sleep wasting it?" Arnav asked disappointedly.

"It seems you intentionally sent him with Madhav...?" She asked teasingly.

"Even though I did that intentionally I don't think it's wrong" He pecked her forehead.

She hugged him with a smile.

The next day

Madhav's sister's wedding was over with a lot of enjoyment.

All of them were getting ready to leave Madhav's house.

"Keep coming Major..." Madhav hugged Arnav.

"You too should come to our home and stay with us"

"Sure Major. And I hope you don't forget our deal"

"What deal?"

"Didn't you say we will go for a trip?"

"Oh yeah... we will surely go. I so need one with my family" Arnav smiled.

"That's it..."

Aman came there.

"Let's go to my home Arnav," Aman said.

"We will come tomorrow. Not now" Arnav said.

"Where are you taking them?" Aman asked.

"To my parents"

Khushi looked at him surprisingly. Sagar glanced at Khushi and sensed nervousness on her face. Yes, she became nervous. It was been twenty years since she met them. They would have thought that she had settled down with someone. What would they think if they got to know about Sagar? Would they trust her that Sagar was Arnav's son? What if they didn't?

"Don't worry Mom, Dad will take care of them" Sagar said.

Khushi felt delighted about Sagar's trust in Arnav.

"Shall I come with you?" Aman asked.

"Why? Am I going to war or what? I will manage" Arnav smiled.

Aman nodded ok. Taking his bag, Aman walked with Nisha and Sanju. Arnav was about to walk, and Khushi clutched his hand.

Arnav looked at her.

"Do you want us to come with you?" She asked hesitatingly.

"Why? Don't you want to meet them?"

"It's not about what I want..."

"But, I want them to see you... I want them to know about you and Sagar"

"But..."

"You don't have to worry about them. I'm with you"

Khushi nodded ok.

They started to Burari by cab. Arnav asked them to be in the cab and went inside.

Arnav's parents were stunned, seeing him. They turned their faces opposite to him with anger.

"Ok, bye..." Arnav took a step to leave.

"Go... Forget that you have parents..."

"I would not have come here if I had forgotten you"

"I'm glad, you remembered us at least now," his father said.

"Dad told me you are not feeling well," he asked his mother.

"I lied... Or else, you would not have come here"

Arnav sighed.

"Being your parents, is thinking of your betterment wrong?"

"I'm already feeling better," Arnav said.

"How long will you be like this?"

"What do you think?"

"We just want to say only one thing, Arnav. The girl for whom you are wasting your life is living with someone happily"

"No... She is not... She also lived only for me not only with my memories but also with my SON" He said that shocking them to the core.

To be continued...
