Hi everyone! I wanted to update two chapters today, but because of doing some Diwali cleaning all alone; I end up having pain in my hands and am too tired. But I promise to update one chapter in the morning and maybe two chapters in the evening.

***Piya's POV.***

I look around at the beautiful scenery of snow everywhere and the sun just coming out from behind the mountains. The silence is another pretty thing about this place and I look beside me to see Veer smiling down at me.

"It is beautiful." I say.

"Not more than you." He says and I blush.

"Stop it, Veer." I say.

"No. Now give me your hand." He says.

"Why?" I ask.

"Just give me your hand, Piya." He says.

"No. First tell me why." I say.

He closes the distance between us and takes my hand as he says, "Because I love holding your hand."

"I do too." I mumble.

"Piya! Piya!" I hear someone calling me out but I just want to ignore it and keep dreaming, "Piya, wake up."

"Okay. I am awake." I say as I open my eyes gingerly and look up to see Veer and almost scream in shock.

"What happened? Why do you look so surprised?" He asks.

"Nothing." I say and rub my eyes and then check I didn't drool on him, which I didn't, and sigh in relief.

"Let's go. Everyone is already out." He says.

"Then why did you wake me up now?" I ask, and undo my seatbelt.

"Because you looked tired. Didn't you sleep last night?" He asks as he gets up.

"No. Not well." I say as I follow him.

"Why?" He asks.

"Because..." I say but stop just before I reveal the real reason, "Because of Subu."

I mentally apologize to her as Subu slept like an angel and didn't disturb me at all. But my thoughts didn't let me sleep until late last night. I was around Veer the whole day yesterday and was also on the edge too that I don't, by mistake, behave like a stupid person and cry. But more than that, I was thinking about how Veer was acting around me.

Maybe I am lovesick or I have lost my mind, but every time Veer would touch me, I yearned to get closer to him. And I started to make more of his actions than necessary. Because it isn't like he hasn't touched me like that in a friendly manner before. It's just that my mind is in the gutter nowadays even after getting rejected by him, unconsciously.

Veer and I sit in the car in which Subu and Rihaan are busy romancing. For the first time, I hate them getting lovey dovey. So I push Subu away and sit between them.

"Piya!" Subu and Rihaan both exclaim.

"Be a little decent for a ride, at least." I say with a smile.

"Ouch! You hurt me, Piya." Rihaan says.

"I know why you are doing this. Let me solve that issue right now. Ve-" Subu goes to say, and I put a hand on her mouth.

"You are such an envious person, Piya. How could you separate us like this? Subu!" Rihaan says from one side.

"Rihu!" Subu says from another side.

I put on my headphones and sit back to enjoy the short ride, but then I hear Rihaan, "Let's share a room together, Subu."

"You don't need to tell me. It is already done." Subu says.

"It is not happening." I hear Veer, so I stop the music.

"But why?" They ask together.

"Because that's not okay with me." Veer says.

"Another envious person who is trying to come between us two lovers." Rihaan says.

"Whatever. But this trip is not for romance. If you want, you two can come again for that. But when you are with us, you have to focus on friends." Veer says and I appreciate it a lot as my heart can't handle couples right now.

"Such a meany." Subu complains.

"Yeah. So no romance, huh?" Rihaan asks with a smirk.

"Yes. Not on a trip, but when you are alone, that's okay." Veer says then turns back to look ahead.

We reach the hotel and get our room keys. Two people will share a room. Om and Dev in one, Rihaan and Veer in second, Kanika and Isha in third and then Subu and me in the fourth. It was on the same side, so one would not get down to doing what they shouldn't be doing.

"Wow! We got the bestest room ever." Subu says as she looks around then jumps on the single bed which is close to the fireplace while I take another single bed near the balcony.

"It is." I say and go out on the balcony and rub my arms when a chilly breeze passes by me.

"Let's settle down, then we will go exploring. Okay?" Subu asks and I nod.

We first put our bags in the wardrobe after taking out our outfits for the next four days, then get changed. I wear a plaid patterned drop shoulder black sweater and black jeans. I leave my hair open to get some warmth. As I was wearing my black shoes, Subu sighs heavily.

"Ready, Goth girl." Subu says, and I roll my eyes.

"Yes, Chic girl." I say as I look at her outfit, which has all white till her heeled boots and a caramel fur jacket.

"We look like chess right now." Subu says as we hold hands and come out of the room with my jacket in hand.

We were the first ones to arrive in the lobby and wait for others. Subu complains it is my fault for making her hurry, while she could have done something more with her hair. I assure her they look fine as they are, but she wanted to curl it a little.

Dev and Om come in next, and I wave at them. We got to talking as we waited for them. Then Kanika and Isha came, but it took ten more minutes for Veer and Rihaan to come down. And when they do, they propose an idea.

"Today we are going shopping and tour in Ladakh till late. But just to make it fun, we will go in pairs to do so. And this would choose these pairs." Rihaan says and shows four ice cream sticks in each hand.

"But can't we just roam around with our roommate?" Isha asks.

"No. There will be one boy and one girl in the team of two. So boys choose from the left hand and girls choose from the right hand. At the end of each straw, there is a different color and whoever gets matching one gets paired up. Understood?" Rihaan says and we agree after a few seconds.

Boys pick the straws first and so Om gets blue, Dev gets black, Veer gets red and Rihaan gets green. Then comes the girls' turn and Isha goes first. She gets happy when it turns out to be blue and hugs Om, who smiles down at her. They really do look cute together. At least one childhood love story flourished well.

Subu takes out the next straw and sulks as it comes out green, but Rihaan grins at her. She complained she wanted to pair up with Dev as he looked strong enough to pick her up, and Rihaan took offense.

"I could pick you up, too." He says.

"Yes. But at least he won't get breathless in a minute like you." She says.

"Hey! Your beauty makes me breathless, not your weight." He says and we refuse to believe it, but then Subu smiles and slaps his arm flirtingly.

"Come, Piya. Your turn." Veer says and I nod.

I go to pick the straw, but Kanika picks it up before me and says, "Sorry, but I am too excited. Oh, I got red. Veer, you are my partner."

"So that leaves black. So you are my partner, Piya." Dev says with a big smile and I smile back, but before I could take the straw Rihaan takes back his hand.

"Yes." I say and go to stand beside him but not before I see Kanika taking Veer's arm as she speaks something in his ear.

"So... looks like we are done here." Rihaan says and I get confused when he gives Veer a grim smile.

"So shall we go? I want to buy pashminas for me and mothers." Isha says.

"I want one too." Subu says.

"So, who is going to ride the bikes?" Rihaan asks just when we start to go out.

"What?!" Five people exclaim together.

"Great." Dev says in excitement.

"But bikes." Isha asks.

"Don't worry. You will ride in the car with Om, along with two other people, as we only booked two bikes." Veer says.

"So, who wants to ride them?" Rihaan asks.

"Definitely me." Dev says with an excitement, but then turns to me, "Only if you want to, Piya."

"Sure, why not? It would be fun." I say with a smile.

"Thanks." He says and takes the key from Rihaan.

"What about us riding the other one?" Rihaan asks Subu.

"Sorry, Rihu. Not today, please." She says.

"But why?" Rihaan asks.

"My hair." She says with a pout.

"Fine. Veer, here you take the other key." Rihaan says and gives me another bike key.

"Are you okay with it?" Veer asks Kanika.

"Sure. You are the best rider. Remember when we all had gone on that long ride after our farewell? It was fun." Kanika says and swings an arm around Veer's shoulder.

I don't wait to see what is going to happen next and go out as I wring my hands. Stupid jealousy refuses to leave even after all these years. But how can it when Kanika is still glued to his side and I am friend-zoned for forever now?

"Here." Dev says and gives me a helmet.

"Thanks." I say and wear it.

Others come out too and sit in the car while Veer starts his bullet and Kanika sits behind him. Dev turns up next to me too with another bullet and I settle myself behind him. I keep my hands to myself but when he starts to drive, he has to put on brakes suddenly because of a car coming out of nowhere and I collide with him.

"Jerks." Dev says in anger.

"Are you okay, Piya?" I look at Veer and nod.

"Piya, hold on to me. It is crowded here, so maybe I would need to apply brakes often." Dev says.

"Okay." I say and put my hands on his shoulder.

"If you want, you can still ride in the car." Veer says with a tight jaw. Maybe he got worried about me.

"No, I am fine." I say with a smile, but then I look away when I see Kanika's arms wrapped around his waist.

"Hold him tightly, Piya. We don't want you falling now, do we?" Kanika says.

"I would be fine." I say, "Let's go, Dev."

"Sure." He says and starts the bike again.

This trip is going to be less fun if I have to keep seeing Veer and Kanika together. Because I am not over him yet.
