-the next morning

After my morning workout, I took my shower and got dressed. I grabbed a banana and headed out, ready to go to work.

"Good morning, baby" I was greeted by Chris

I ignored him as I locked my door

"Don't be mad at me" he leaned against my wall "I'm sorry about last night"

"I have to get to work" I walked down the stairs

He followed behind "Your car is still at your job"

I sighed in frustration "I'll get an Uber"

"Just let me drive you. That'll give me time to explain why I got upset yesterday"

"Fine" I adjusted my bag on my shoulder as we walked to the car

"You were supposed to turn right there" I said, noticing he kept straight

"I know a short cut" he answered with his eyes focused on the road

"Didn't you say you wanted to explain why you got upset yesterday?" I asked, looking at him

"In a few minutes, you'll get your answer" I saw him smirk

I sat back in my seat and looked out the window. After a few more minutes, I noticed a sign that read "private property"

"Chris, we can't be back here" I said after reading the sign

"Chill" He said calmly

"This is not the way to my job, this is someone's private property that we're on"

"The owner's a friend of mine" he said as we pulled into the driveway of this huge house

"Come on" he got out of the car

"I have to be to work, I have an appointment at 11"

"I rescheduled all your appointments for today" he walked to my side and opened my door

"Why would you do that?" I got out of the car

"I have my reasons" he smiled as we walked up to the door of the house

I stayed quiet as he unlocked the door.

"You have a key to your friend's house?"

"Something like that. Want a tour?" He tossed the keys on the counter

"Why are we even here?"

"Stop asking questions and come on" he chuckled, grabbing my hand

I followed him around the huge, beautiful house. Overall the house has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, along with an inside pool & jacuzzi and a game room.

We finally made it to the last room of the house. I walked in, seeing a nursery

"They got a kid?" I asked

"About to have one" I heard him say from behind me

"This entire house is so beautiful" I said

"I'm glad you like it"

When I turned around, he was down on one knee. "Since our kid will be sleeping in here and all" a smirk danced across his lips

"W-What?"

"I brought this house when I was 19...I was young and wanted to show off all the money I was making. I used to throw parties in it almost every weekend. Then I started realizing the value and the beauty of it...I realized that it was more than just a house. It's a home" he paused, looking up at me "I got an apartment, and swore I wouldn't move back into this house until I found somebody I truly loved and started a family"

"Baby that's really sweet, but what are you doing on your knee?" I asked, knowing the answer but wanting some clarification

Without another word, he went in his pocket and pulled out a small box.

"Oh my God" I gasped as my eyes filled up with tears of joy

"Will you marry me?" He opened it up

"Of course!" I nodded

He slid the ring on my finger, then stood up and kissed me.

"I love you" he spoke in between kisses, hoisting me up

"I love you so much more" I smiled as we rested our foreheads against one another's

He kissed me intensely, pressing my back against the wall. His hands gripped my butt firmly while he pressed his body closer to mine. I could tell where things were going, and they were going there fast.

I pulled away "Not in the baby's room"

"I got you" he said before kissing me again

He walked us into the next room, without breaking the heated kiss. Shortly after that, we were ripping each other's clothes off.

* 3 hours later

"That...that was amazing" I panted, pulling the covers over my chest

"Yeah, it's been a minute" he chuckled

"Ya know, you still never told me why you were mad yesterday" I looked up at him

"I was gonna do the whole ring in the dessert thing, but they told me that somebody lost the ring" he wrapped his arms around me

"How'd you find it?" I took a look at the breathtaking rock on my finger

"I searched that damn kitchen high and low after I dropped you off"

"And now" I smiled, holding my hand up "We're engaged"

"Eden Brown got a nice lil ring to it" He pecked my lips

"I gotta tell Felix" the idea popped in my head

"You thinking about Felix? After what we just did?" he laughed

"Be quiet" I chuckled, unlocking my phone

"Mm-mm. You can talk to him later"  he grabbed the phone

"But babe-"

"I wanna spend some time with my fiancée" he kissed on my neck

"We just spent a good amount of time and energy together"

He trailed his way down to my belly button.

"Not enough" He looked up at me, kissing around my warm center

"I guess I can talk to him later" I bit down on my lip as pure ecstasy took over me
