"These are some really nice pictures" the lady said to me "You're amazing with that camera"

"Thank you" I smiled

Once I dropped Felix off at the airport, I went to work. I figured it'd be refreshing, and I was right.

"They should be in your mailbox in a few days" I said

"Alright" she smiled, handing me $250 "Thanks again"

"No problem"

7 hours and a bunch of photos later, I was beginning to get tired. People had been coming in and out of here all day. I'm glad, but I didn't know people like getting their pictures taken so much.

"I'm ready to have my picture taken" a voice said from behind me

I grinned, knowing who it was "You have any special theme you wanna do?" I turned around

"Nah, I wanna be butterball naked. Something natural, ya know" Chris wrapped his arms around my waist

I chuckled, pecking his lips "Hey, poppa"

"Mm, ain't heard that in a minute"

"You'll hear it more often with the way my hormones been raging." I bit my lip, admiring how fine he was

"Someone's trying to get pregnant while pregnant" he smirked

"Oh hell no" I giggled "What you doing here though?"

"I just came by to check on my babies. How's everything going?"

"Everything is going great, I'm a little tired though"

"You need to get an assistant and another worker. When you get deeper into the pregnancy, you can't be taking pictures all day and dealing with all those people" He held my hands

"I'll see" I said

"Don't see. Do it" He pecked my lips "Don't need you waddling around and your water break in here"

"Ok, Maurice" I rolled my eyes

He lightly tapped my butt "You ready to go?"

"I drove my car to work, nut"

"Leave it here, I'll bring you to work tomorrow. I wanna take you to dinner tonight"

"Ooh, ok" I smiled "Let me put my equipment away"

"Hurry up, fatbutt"

"I love this place. I could come here all day, everyday" I said as we sat in the restaurant that he owned

We have our own private section on the roof that we normally go to, but it began to rain, so we sat inside with everyone else.

"Is that right?"

"Yeah, the food is great, it's beautiful in here, and the waiter said I was pretty and how he'd like to treat me to dinner sometime"

"Who I gotta fire?" He looked up from his food

"I'm joking" I chuckled "But seriously though, I'm proud of you"

"Thank you, and I'm proud of you"

"Aw really?" I dramatically placed my hand to my chest

"Yes, goofy" he laughed

The waiter came and briefly whispered something in his ear "Hold on, I'll be back" he stood up from the table and followed the waiter into the kitchen

When he left, I had some time to think. Think about all the happiness my life has been filled with since he stepped in. Even the days I felt like I wasn't going to make it, thinking of him made a light shine in my heart. Through all my heartache growing up, I can finally say that I'm genuinely happy.

"Let's go" He came back to the table

"I wasn't done with my food" I looked up at him

His jaw was clenched and his eyebrows were furrowed "I'm ready to go, come on" he walked away, leaving out of the restaurant

"What happened?" I grabbed my jacket and followed behind him

He ignored me as we walked to the car "Maurice" I touched his shoulder

"Just get in" he walked to his side and got in

I got in and we sped off.

"Babe, talk to me" I said as we walked up the stairs

"Stuff didn't go as planned" he said

"What do you mean?"

"Nothing" He shook his head

"Everything was fine, then you came back to the table mad. Clearly something's wrong."

"I'm gonna sleep at my place tonight"

"Fine" I unlocked my door "Talk to me when you actually wanna talk"

"I love you" He said

I slammed my door in his face

Ugh.

"I love you too" I quickly said, then slammed the door back

Stupid ass 😒

I promise y'all that all these boring chapters are gonna pay off. Just wait and see 😉 (Chapter 34 is gonna be good 😏. 35 will be even better)
