Eden

I opened my eyes and immediately sat up from the concrete floor. I blinked numerous times, adjusting my eyes to the dull lit room.

"Where am I?!" I hollered out

I got no answer, so I got up, heading for the door. Once I walked a few feet, I noticed I couldn't go any further. I looked down, seeing my ankles were in shackles

"Somebody help me!" I started crying "Please!"

*flashback*

"I'd like to thank everyone for coming out and celebrating this wonderful night with me" I said to the crowd "Have a safe ride home, and I hope to take your picture one day" I smiled, stepping down from the podium

They all clapped and began to exit.

"I'm proud of you" Felix hugged me

"Yeah, thanks" I sighed, hugging him back

"I'm telling you, it'll be ok." He gave me a reassuring smile, holding my hands "I'll beat his ass if it'll make you feel better"

"Nooo" I chuckled "It ain't gonna solve anything"

"Well, we can go home and have a nice, big bowl of ice cream with chocolate chip cookies"

"I think I wanna stay here for a while." I said "Just to clear my head a little"

"You sure?"

"Mhm" I nodded "Go ahead to my apartment, I'll be there in a few" I gave him my key

"Ok, love you" he pecked my cheek

"Love you too" I gave him a small smile

Once Felix left, along with everyone else, I sat down and stared at the painting Chris did on my main wall.

I started thinking about how happy I was when we finished painting.

"Don't you cry" I said to myself, feeling tears build up "You've done enough of that" I placed my hand on my flat belly, sighing

Single and pregnant

That's the last thing I wanted to be. Now I don't even know whether I should tell Chris or not. This is all just too much.

*15 minutes later

I walked through the dark parking lot, heading to my car.

"Eden" a voice called

I sped up, pulling out the car remote and unlocking my door. It's too late and too spooky back here for people to try and hold conversations.
  Once I reached my car, a hand touched my shoulder

"Get away!" I sent a punch

The hooded figure dodged it "It's just me" the person pulled their hood off

"Janae?" I breathed

"Yeah" she chuckled "I just wanted to tell you that I heard about your photography studio and congratulations"

"Uhm...thanks" I still don't trust her

"I wish you well" she smiled

"Thanks" I nodded "I gotta go" I said, getting in my car

"Ok" she said, walking off

Once I got in my car, I locked the doors and started it up. "That was strange"

A masked face appeared in my mirror, pulling my head back.

"Hel-" my screams were cut short when they placed a wet napkin over my mouth

I inhaled and passed out almost immediately after.

*flashback over*

"Please let me out!"

"Oh shut up" I heard a voice say before the door opened, letting some sunlight creep in

"Who's that?" I squinted

"Sit down!" a punch was sent to my face

I tried to get up again, but this time, a foot kicked me down. I cried out, holding my face.

"Look at me!" The person demanded

"Please don't kill me" I cried

"I'd never kill you" the person said

"But I will" a more feminine voice said

When I finally looked up, Nick and Janae stood over me.

"Nick?" I asked in disbelief

"That's right baby" he grinned "Miss me?"

"Why are you doing this? Did she put you up to this?" I asked, referring to Janae

"Shut up bitch" Janae slapped me

"Don't put your fucking hands on me!" I swung, punching her in the nose "Let me out of here!"

"I thought I told you to tie her hands up!" Janae yelled at Nick

"You didn't!" He yelled back at her, coming towards me with some shackles

I fought against him, purposely kneeing him in the balls.

"Dumb bitch" he growled before hitting me with the butt of his gun

After that, I blacked out again.

Chris

"Yo, open up" I knocked on Eden's door

I waited a few seconds, then knocked again "E, I'm sorry. I can explain it all now. I didn't cheat"

After that, the door opened "What you want?" Felix asked

"Where Eden at?" I asked

"She ain't here" he rolled his eyes "Even if she was here, I wouldn't let you see her"

"Stop playing and let me in" I squinted at him, smacking my teeth

"She's seriously not here" he said "I honestly thought she went to your apartment instead of coming home"

"So she didn't come home with you?" I asked

"No"

"You talked to her?"

"No, I've been trying to call her all morning. I figured y'all were making up" he rolled his eyes "Glad to see she ain't dumb"

"Whatever man. When was the last time you saw her?"

"After the event last night" he started "She said she wanted some time alone, so I let her be. I didn't wanna crowd her"

"You let her leave alone?! In that dark ass parking lot!"

"First of all, stop yelling at me" he pointed his finger and rolled his neck "Secondly, she probably just fell asleep at the photography studio"

"I'ma go see" I said

"Let me grab my purse" he said

"Woah, where you going?" I stopped him

"Nigga I'm going with you. She's my best friend" he locked the apartment door and headed down the steps "And she probably don't wanna see your cheating ass anyway"

"I didn't cheat" I grumbled

"Mhm, that's what they all say"
