"Baby!" I jumped on Chris's lap

"Yeah, sweetheart?" He asked, looking pass me as he continued playing 2k18

"I got the building!" I cheered

"Really?" He paused the game "I'm proud of you, baby" he hugged me

"I can't wait for you to see it, it's the one I've been dreaming about for months"

"You wanna go now?" He asked

"Noooo. I wanna get it fixed up first" I pecked his lips "Paint it, add some furniture, set up the photography equipment"

"I can do the painting part for you" he said

"You'd do that?"

"Of course. You my baby"

I've learned that Chris loves to paint and draw, and he's so great at it.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you" I kissed all over his face

He chuckled "When you wanna start?"

"Is tomorrow too soon?"

"I gotta handle some business at work tomorrow, babe"

I sighed a little, feeling saddened.

"But I can push it to the side for you" he lifted my chin up

"If it's really important then I can wait" I explained

"Nah. You more important than that shit in the streets" he looked into my eyes

"Aw baby" I cupped his face

Benji jumped up on the couch and started barking.

I think he gets jealous when I show Chris attention.

"Shut that up" Chris scolded

"Don't talk to my Benji boy like that"

"You shut up too" Chris stuck his tongue out at me

I hit him with a pillow

"I'm joking" he laughed

"Mhm" I purses my lips "You going to see Sean today?"

"Later on." He sighed, rubbing his face

"I know it's hard for you but, the doctor's said he's getting better" I comforted him

"Yeah...I know" he nodded

"Good. Now let me see that smile, poppa" I made dumb faces at him

"Move man" he grinned a little

"There it is!" I cheered "Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, a smile on a fine ass man"

"Goofy ass" he laughed, shaking his head

"You like it"

"I do, I do" he pulled me in for a kiss

And just like that, sparks ignited. It happens every time we kiss

"Mm" I pulled away "I have to go to Ms. Erma's"

"Right now?" He groaned

"Yeah. I promised I'd help her hang her new curtains up and some more stuff"

"I only need 15 minutes" he began kissing down my jawline

"Babe" I tried to ignore the wetness that was taking place in my underwear

"Just 15" he slid his hand into my spandex shorts "You already soaking, might as well let me" I felt him smirk against my skin as he rubbed me

"Ok" I moaned, agreeing to the 15 minutes

* 1 hour and 15 minutes later

"I'm late because of you" I slipped on a new pair of underwear

"Just explain to her that you were getting some dick, I'm sure she'll understand" Chris slid on his jeans

"Maurice" I straight faced him

"I'm kidding" he shrugged "You can't be mad at me for wanting to go three rounds"

"Yes I can. You know how I forget everything else exists when you're inside me"

"You know when something is so good you can't just have it once?"

"Mhm"

"I rest my case" he pecked my lips

"That makes sense" I nodded "All is forgiven" I chuckled

"Now let me make up for it in another way" he smirked

"No, No, No" I shook my head "Damn...You're like the energizer bunny"

"You should be proud"

"I'm very proud, but let her rest." I said, referring to my "honeypot"

"Ight, ight" he chuckled

"I'll call you later. Lock the door if you leave" I pecked his lips "Be good"

"I'm always good, baby"

"Mhm" I said before leaving out

Before I reached Ms. Erma's apartment, he sent me a text.

Chris 🤤💘: be good (3:17pm)

I sent him one back saying

Me: I always am, poppa 😏😘 (3:17pm)

After E went to Ms. Erma's apartment, I decided to go check on the warehouse and get all my business out the way so, I could help her with her building tomorrow.
When I got to the warehouse, Candice was sitting outside.

"What you doing here?" I asked

"You haven't talked to me in a while. Where you been?"

"Busy. Wassup?" I asked, walking in the warehouse

"I wanna work for you again" she followed

"Why though?" I asked "You said you were doing good at the club"

"I was but, they fired me" she looked down at the ground

"Why?" I headed to my office

"One of the customers kept trying to take me in the back room when I didn't offer so, I punched him" she explained, shrugging

"I don't know Candice..." I trailed off, letting her in my office

"Please. I can't do anything else"

"Fine" I agreed "But I can't just let you pick up where you left off"

"Why not?"

"You haven't been in this game for 2 years. You gotta start over and work your way back up"

She sighed "Ok, that's better than nothing. When do I start?" she asked

"Today" I said "Josh" I called him in my office

"Yeah?"

"Show Candice what the beginners do"

"I got you" he said

"I remember how to do it" she said

"It's workplace policy" I chuckled, shrugging

"Ok" she nodded

After they left out, I went back to doing what I intentionally came to do. Which was:

Finding Nick and Kevin. I haven't seen any sign of either one of them. I know they're probably somewhere plotting, which is why I have to always be prepared.
I called up a few of Nick's workers who were basically trying to double cross him and asked them a few questions about his whereabouts.
They'd always ask if they could join my side when I take care of Nick once and for all, and my answer is always no. If they're trying to snitch on him, they'd do the same to me when the time comes.

After spending a few minutes calling around, I got some ideas as to where he might be. I can't act on it just yet though, I have to wait until the time is right. I wouldn't want to get myself caught by rushing the process.
