Ever since me and Candice met up in the club that night, we've been hanging out. I haven't mentioned her to Eden and vice versa. Not because we're sneaking around or anything, I just don't think it's a big deal.

"Remember that time you almost got caught with like two pounds of coke on you?" I asked Candice

We went out to lunch and I told her to come back to my crib for some drinks.

"Yeah" she chuckled "The police came to my crib in the middle of me getting dressed. I had a choice between making money or my clothes. You know I had to take the money and run" she shrugged

"If you wouldn't have, I would've fucked you up" I said jokingly

"Fucked me up how?" she smirked, leaning on the counter

"As in beat yo black ass" I poured myself another drink

She laughed a little, causing her drink to spill on her shirt. "Damn" she said, slipping it off "Nah...I believe you would've let me off easy" she continued talking

I chuckled before taking a swig of my Hennessy "Why you believe that?"

"Because I had something that the other workers didn't have"

"Mhm and what's that?"

She made her way over to me slowly "A nice, fat, wet pu-"

Benji cut her off by coming from the back, barking.

"You have a dog?"

This is her first time in my apartment so she hasn't seen Benji yet.

"Yeah. He probably hear his mama coming home" I sat my glass down and headed in the living room to greet Eden

"His mama?" She questioned, following me

"Yeah. It's some shirts in the back bedroom" She went in the back to get a shirt

Eden came in the apartment "Chris you won't believe what happened at the meeting for my building" she pouted

"What happened, sweetheart?"

"The man tried to-" she cut her sentence short when Candice came from the back

"I thought I told you to put a shirt on" I said to Candice

"I couldn't find them" she said

Eden looked between me and Candice and I could already tell what she was thinking.

"Hi, I'm Chris's friend, Candice" Candice reached her hand out

"Hi." Eden said dryly "I'ma just get Benji and go"

"Eden-" before I got another word out, she picked up Benji and left

"Wrong first impression?" Candice chuckled

"I think you should go"

"Really? I didn't do it on purpose, I-"

"Nah. I'll see you" I handed her jacket to her

"Alright, I understand" she nodded, slipping her jacket on and leaving

I headed over to Eden's apartment to explain things to her.

"Get out, Maurice" she said

"First of all, no" I chuckled, sitting down "Secondly, she's just my friend."

"A half naked friend?" she raised an eyebrow

"She spilled some liquor on her shirt so, I offered her one of mine"

"Mhm" she mugged me, rubbing Benji's head

At that moment, I realized something that I've never realized before.

She really cares about me.

I decided to act on it quick because life is short and people like Eden are very rare to come by. 🤷🏾‍♀️

"I wanna make this official" I said

"Really?" Her face softened

"Yeah, I've never had somebody care about me and I feel the same towards them. I can see how much you care in your actions. You make sure I get enough sleep, I eat, my day is going good, the sex is amazing as fuck, you get angry when I make dumbass decisions" I made notice of all the good things she does for me on a daily

"You roll up for me even though you don't smoke." We both chuckled "And I've never had an actual girlfriend but, you seem like you'd make a good one" I confessed

"Aweee" she squealed "Chris, that is so sweet"

"Sooo, you wanna make this an us thing?" I asked "Because I know I damn sure don't want you with nobody else"

"I just need to know one thing first" she said

"What's that?"

"Where do you work?"

"Uhm..."

"And don't lie" she straight faced me

"Ight, ight" I sighed "I'ma drug lord"

"Really?" she gasped

"Yeah. I'm not a bad person or anything, I just-"

"Have you ever killed anyone?"

I nodded "And I know you might think I'm a bad person but, I'm not."

"I don't think you are. I accept you just as you are" she pecked my lips "And yes"

"Yes we're official?" I grinned

"Mhm" she nodded, pecking my lips some more

"Personally, I think we should fuck to celebrate" I shrugged

"You already starting" she smacked her lips

"Shut up and gimme a kiss" I pulled her to me

"Thank goodness you finally came around" she said after pulling away "I was getting tired of doing all this girlfriend stuff and still being single" she chuckled

"Now you can do it for ya man" I pulled her onto my lap

"My man gotta be good to deserve it" she straddled me

"I'm always good" my hands rested on her butt "I seriously wanna fuck you right now" I sighed

"What's stopping you?" she kissed on my neck

"I wanna take you on a real date"

"You don't have to. I can cook us something"

I could feel her hard nipples pressing against my chest "But I want to"

"Where do you wanna go?" she asked

"Get dressed and you'll see" I pecked her lips before moving her off me

"You promise to fuck my brains out when we get back?" she smirked

"That's a definite promise" I grinned and bit my lower lip "Now go get dressed"

"Ok poppa" she got up from the couch and headed to her room

"Chris, this place is so beautiful" Eden said, looking around the restaurant

"This where all the rich white folks eat"

"I saw that on the walk to our table" she chuckled "I can't believe you have your own private section in a restaurant"

"Half of this is mine." I said truthfully "I started taking my money and investing it in businesses a long time ago."

"That's amazing, really" she smiled "Is it strange that I'm nervous?"

"Why you nervous, sweetheart?" I asked

"We've been places with each other before, now we're together and I don't want to mess things up"

"You could never mess this up. Just relax and get comfortable."

"Ok" she exhaled, giving a short smile after

"You look good as hell in that dress by the way." I complimented

"Thank you"

"And I know for a fact that you look better without it" I smirked

"Stop it" she blushed "You look good too"

"I know, you been drooling over me since we got in here"

"Here you go" she playfully rolled her eyes
