"Fe, are you listening?" I tapped his shoulder

"Girl, I'm tired. Shhh"

"Maybe if you wouldn't have stayed out all night, you wouldn't be so tired" I picked at him

He stayed out all night at the club, now he's drained

"And after I go home, get me a good rest, I'm gonna do it again"

"Sad" I shook my head

"You should come with me" he nudged "Plenty of fine niggas be there. You need to get out of Christopher land and travel the world" he said

"I'm not in Christopher land. He's just my friend" I groaned

"Sureee. The only thing y'all not doing is fucking and kissing. Y'all around each other almost 24/7"

"Yeah, because we're friends" I emphasized on friends

"I got me a few friends too" he mocked me "But they get this ass on a daily" he stuck his tongue out and twisted his hips to the other side of the store

"Disgusting" Janae came from the back "I will not have you running customers away with your filthy gay ass!"

"Excuse you?" He stopped and looked at her

"You heard me, people don't take well to gays. Next time I see you dancing like that, I'll fire you"

"Oh you ain't gotta fire me next time, sweetie. I quit!" He got in her face "Bitch you lucky I'm not a woman! I would beat your ass"

"Do it. You'll be right in jail getting raped in your ass." Janae gave him an evil grin "You'd probably like that though"

"You need to watch your mouth, real shit! What Felix does isn't bothering anyone" I said "You just mad because he can pull more niggas than you can"

What she said about his sexuality really irritated me. He's not doing anything to anyone, leave him alone and let him be him.

"You just bitter as fuck, you not about to sit up here and just disrespect him like that."

She gasped "You're-"

"I quit!" I said before she could finish

"Mad ass bitch" Fe added "Hope this fuckin' store crumble to pieces" he knocked over a few mannequins and threw some stuff around

"Let's go" I said to Felix

"Bye biiiiitch. Kiss my ass" He flicked her off as we exited the store

"Didn't pay enough anyway" I added

"Fe, you crazy" I laughed as we walked to the parking lot

"That bitch think she can just talk to anybody how she want. Tuh, not me" he said "I'ma be who I am and ain't nobody gonna stop me. I fought for years being comfortable with my sexuality, ain't nobody taking that away"

"That's right Fe, I'm proud of you" I smiled "And I love you the way you are"

"I love you too sis" he said "And I'm proud you finally stood up to her too"

"I got tired of her shit"

"Now our asses gotta find some jobs" he giggled

"We can do that" I nodded "But tonight we're going out and celebrating"

"Is this you saying we going to the club?" He asked

"Hell yeah." I grinned

"Oh yesssss honey. Let me go home and pick out my outfit" he hugged me

"I'ma call you" I said as we went to our cars

We both got in and drove off.

I knocked on Chris's door as soon as I got home. He has to know what I did today.

"Open up, small head, bald head" I knocked again

"Hold up a second" he said from the other side of the door

I heard another voice talking to him and some shuffling around.

Right when I was about to knock again, he opened the door

"Wassup?"

"I got some good news" I said excitedly

I was about to walk in, but he blocked the doorway

"Now ain't a good time" he said "I'll be over later"

"Oh...ok" I got the hint

He probably had some female in there or femaleS. You never know with him.

He closed the door and I turned and went in my apartment.

* 11:37pm
I was in the middle of getting dressed when I heard a knock at the door.

"Who is it?" I asked while walking to the door

"Chris"

I opened the door with a plain look on my face. I was slightly mad at him for blowing me off earlier.

"What you want?" I leaned against the door frame

"What was the good news from earlier?" He eyed my outfit

"Nothing important" I shrugged

"I'm about to go out, so I'll talk to you later" I was about to close the door

"Where you going dressed like that?" He pushes it open with his hand

"Out, excuse me" I tried to close the door again

"With who?" He stopped it with his foot

"None of your business. Goodbye Christopher" I finally closed the door

I listened for him to go back in his apartment before I went in my room and continued getting dressed.
