I let out a throaty groan as I came into the condom. I pulled out of Janae and went into the bathroom.

"Babe, that was great" she said

"Uh huh" I responded as I took the condom off and flushed it

She's been getting clingy as shit. I never gave her a reason to think we was together.

I washed my hands, slipped on my boxers, and came back into the bedroom. She had made herself comfortable in the bed.

"Come lay down" she smiled

"Actually...I gotta go somewhere real quick" I lied

"I can stay here until-"

"I'm not gonna be back until later"

"Well that's fine, I can just stay-"

"Nah, I'll see you later though" I said

"Why do you do this? You never let me stay! I wanna stay!" she cried

"Yo, what the fuck. Chill"

"Let me stay! Please" by now, she was out the bed, crying on her knees, holding onto my leg

This bitch is crazy.

My phone rang and she quickly got up, running to it.

"Is she the reason you want me to leave?!" the caller ID read Eden's name "First you cancel on me at the club, now your trying to put me out!"

"That's none of your business. Give me my damn phone" I snatched it from her

"Yeah?" I answered the phone

"I'm on my way to the restaurant." Eden said

She's been wanting to try this restaurant for a couple weeks and I told her I'd try it with her.

"Alright. I'll be there" I said

"Ok" she said before hanging up

"Be where?" Janae asked

"Why you still here?" I laughed, actually becoming annoyed

"What are we?"

"Well we're human beings. Right now you're being a worrisome ass one" I explained truthfully

"So you just want to fuck me and leave?!"

"Nooo" I answered truthfully

"I fucked you and I want you to leave" I told her the right way

"Well I'm not leaving" she sat on the bed with the sheets covering her body

"Word?" I started collecting her clothes off the floor

She folded her arms and stared at me "What are you doing?"

I grabbed her by her arm, the sheets fell off her, I held her clothes in one hand and her in the other. I opened the front door, tossed her out, and her clothes followed behind.

"Breezy! Let me in! It's cold out here!" she banged on the door

"You outta be ashamed of yourself." I heard Ms. Erma say on the other side of the door "Put some clothes on you fast ass girl"

I chuckled a little and went to go get ready.

This fool has had me waiting here for an hour and then some. I haven't even ordered yet because I was waiting to try the food with him.

"Excuse me, I've been watching you for a while now, and I was just wondering how long that man is going to make you wait" a stranger come over to me, he was a cute stranger though

"Well actually I-"

"Sorry I'm late" Chris came to the table

Really? 😑 Now you come? I'm tryna stop being cold and lonely at night and now you pop up.

"I'll take a sprite" he said to the man that I was talking to

"Chris" I facepalmed myself "He's not the waiter"

"Oh then why he here?" he looked at the guy again

"We were having a conversation" the guy responded

"Ok and now y'all not." Chris chuckled "How was work, sweetheart?" He turned to me

the guy cleared his throat "I find it very rude that you left this young lady waiting here on you for so long"

Chris stood up and got in the guys face "Then you'll find it real rude when I beat your ass if you don't get outta' my fuckin' face"

"Chris, sit down" I caught him by his jacket

Chris said something to the guy that I couldn't make out and immediately the man walked away.

"You didn't have to do that" I straight faced him as he sat back down

"Yeah I did, he was getting too bold"

"He was keeping me company while someone was running late" I emphasized on someone

"I'm sorry 'bout that. I was having some problems wit' ol' girl"

"What happened?" I asked, drinking my water

"She wouldn't leave. Her ass think we in a relationship and all that" he explained

"Well aren't y'all in one?" I asked in confusion

"Hell no" he laughed "And I thought she understood that, but clearly she doesn't"

"Mm. Well do you have any intention of getting in a relationship with her?" I asked

"Why? You tryna' be wit' me?" He smirked, leaning forward

"Oh please" I rolled my eyes "I was just asking" I slightly shrugged

"Hm...I don't know yet" he kept his smirk

"Mm" I shook my head "Let's order"

"That food was a-maz-ing" I said as we entered my apartment

"Shit was ight" he shrugged

I smacked my lips at him. "Always gotta act like you don't like stuff" I tossed my keys on the counter

"I'm not acting like I didn't like it." He said "I said it was ight" he shrugged

"It was ight" I mocked him

He straight faced me, going in the kitchen

"Hey, what did you say to the guy at the restaurant that made him run off?" I pulled my shoes off and sat on the couch

"That's none of your business" he said from the kitchen

"Actually it is" I said "He was cute and you ran him off"

"Good. You don't need to be talkin' to no niggas anyway"

"Tuh. I'm grown"

"Ight grown" he came back with a bowl full of strawberries

We just ate 😩

"Who told you to get some?"

"Myself" he sat on the couch with them

"Uh Uh. I'ma get my locks changed" I shook my head "You gonna be coming in here taking food when I'm not home"

"I been did that before" he laughed "Surprised you ain't notice."

I slightly gasped and punched his arm "I knew my food was disappearing. Oh I'm definitely getting the locks changed"

"Go head" He chuckled "Locks may change, but a screwdriver stays the same and I know how to work the lil fucker"

"You're so headassish it's sad" I chuckled "Besides, those who don't pay nothing here, don't eat" I snatched my strawberries

"Shiiiid" He pulled out a wad of cash and pulled three hundreds out "Here" he sat in beside me and took the strawberries back

"Where'd all that money come from?" My jaw was still dropped

"Work"

"Let me get a job then" I joked

"Don't play like that" he gave me a serious look "Open up" he put a strawberry to my lips

"I can feed myself" I backed away

"Stop playing, E" he smacked his teeth

I opened my mouth and took a bite of the juicy strawberry. For some reason, it tasted better having him feed it to me.

"I put a lil bit of sugar on it" he said

"Mhm" I nodded, still chewing

Our eyes met for a while before his phone rang

"Yeah?" He answered "At Eden's, nah man" he chuckled "Word?...I'll be there in 10" he said before hanging up

"Where you going?"

"To mind my business" he mocked me from the other day

"Hahaha" I laughed sarcastically

"I gotta get to work" he stood up

"Your boss is always calling you in at weird times of the day" I walked him to the door

"I am the boss, sweetheart" he smirked "I'll see you later" he said before leaving

I watched him walk down the apartment steps and was about to go back in my building, but Ms. Erma came down the hall.

"Hey, Ms. Erma" I smiled at her

"Hey suga'." She made her way to my door

"How you been?" I asked

"I been fine, doing all that a old woman can" she said "How you?"

"That's good to hear. I've been good" I nodded

"That's nice, that's nice. I see you been getting real friendly with that Christopher boy"

"Oh he's just my friend" I chuckled

"He's a fine young man. He's been respectful to me ever since I got here. He's like a son to me"

"I never knew that. You know where he works?"

"Nope. He tells me almost everything except that" she chuckled

"Same here"

"Well, I'm gonna go on my walk, I'll see you later." She smiled

"Alright, you be safe"

"Oh, I will." She said before walking off
