Standing in the school gym Stiles was questioning Lottie whilst Scott and Allison were on the climbing wall. She sighed, turning to face him.
"Stiles, I passed out as soon as I got home, I don't even remember walking there. I'm sorry, it won't happen again." Lottie told him. He'd just explained the whole debacle that had happened at the Sheriff's station the other night. A guard had entered the station and tried to kill Isaac but Derek stopped him, helping Isaac escape. He was now a wanted fugitive.
"I just- I was worried about you." Stiles mumbled, fiddling with his fingers. Lottie glanced down, picking up his fingers in her hands, locking her fingers with his.
"Well I'm fine and you're fine. We're good. Okay?"
"Okay. Promise?"
"Promise." Lottie linked her pinky with his, smiling as she gazed into his eyes. "Now go be a gentleman and let Erica win." Lottie teased pushing Stiles to the wall as Scott made his way over. He'd just fallen after Allison had kicked his ankle on the wall, making her win their race.
"Did that look as embarrassing as it felt?"
"Probably worse." She grinned. Smiling as she watched Stiles climb enthusiastically, until she noticed that Erica was frozen in place, a frown settling on her lips. Stiles made his way back down and walked over to his friends. "Stiles I said let her win."
"I'd be up there forever if I let her win."
"Erica? You okay? Dizzy? Vertigo?" Coach called up to the girl.
Lydia, who was next in line with Lottie, rolled her eyes. "Vertigo's a dysfunction of the vestibular system of the inner ear. She's just freaking out."
"Erica!" Coach called out again.
"I'm fine!" Erica shouted back, still not moving.
"Coach, maybe it's not safe. You know she's epileptic." Allison suggested, taking a step over to the man who groaned aloud, throwing his hands in the air.
"She is? Why the hell doesn't anyone tell me these things? Erica, you're good. Push off. I'll ease you down." But Erica won't move. She's completely frozen in fear.
Lottie rolled her shoulders and a determined look settled on her face. Stepping up to the wall, she left the safety harness on the floor and began to climb. "Lottie! My insurance won't cover this. Get down and get your gear on!" But Lottie ignored it, climbing expertly until she reached Erica.
"Hey Erica, I'm Lottie. I'm gonna help you okay? You need to push gently okay? Just-"
"I don't need your help!" Erica spat out, frustrated at the attention and crowd, embarrassed by the kind girl's help. Erica had always thought Lottie was perfect and she hated it. She wanted to be like her so bad, and yet there she was unable to climb or move with a harness and Lottie comes to save the day, not a harness in sight. Determined to get out of there Erica finally pushed off the wall, leaving Lottie alone, suddenly feeling very stupid. Slowly she made her own way back down to be greeted with the snickers that trailed after Erica as she left the room hurriedly.
"Lottie! I don't know whether to be impressed by your skill or furious that you could've cost me my job!" Coach said as he walked over to Lottie.
"Just be impressed. It'll save us both time and detention." Lottie grumbled, walking off to the locker rooms, she could feel her heartbeat rising as she grew more and more annoyed at Erica's treatment towards her, she was only trying to help.
Lottie was waiting for the boys outside their locker room when she heard Scott call her in.
"Lottie! Coast is clear."
"I've been summoned. What are we talking-" Lottie asked, pausing as she noticed Stiles shirtless "about?" She finished as Scott opened his locker and blocked him from her view. Swallowing she shook her head and turned her attention to Scott who was sending her a knowing smile. She mouthed 'what?' to him, rolling her eyes as he laughed.
"I don't know. With Isaac missing and that thing we saw last night? It just doesn't feel right going out tonight." Scott semi-explained, continuing the conversation he'd been having previously.
"No. You're not backing out. You know why? Because you and Allison are obviously having quite a good time together. You know who else wants to have a good time? Stiles." Stiles rambled as Scott shut his locker. Lottie smiled at the boy who beamed back at her, slightly dazed. "Stiles wants to have a good time many, many times. Several times in a row, in several different positions." Stiles continued, not noticing that his eyes never strayed from Lottie's, who had a light tinge of red peeking through her cheeks. Snapping out of it he turned to Scott. " Are you even listening to me?"
"We need to go to the gym now!" Scott shouted, causing his friends to flinch before running after him, watching him as he caught Erica. She'd snuck back into the gym and climbed up the wall with no safety harness. Then, she began having a seizure as she reached the top.
"Put her on her side." Allison instructed as she made her way over. "How did you know?" She asked Scott quietly.
"I felt it." Scott mumbled.

Lottie stood with Lydia at her locker when a furious Jackson approached and grabbed Lydia's arm forcefully.
"What the hell's wrong with you?" He fumed as Lottie tried to control her breathing, determined to keep her sudden rage under control.
"What?" Lydia's voice shook as she looked at Lottie.
Jackson tried to pull up the side of her shirt to see the bite that was still healing, but Lydia slapped his hand away. This snapped Lottie into action and she lunged for him, grabbing his shirt and tugging him away from Lydia.
"Keep your filthy fucking hands off her Jackass or it'll be the last time you use them." She fumed in his ear and she felt her claws extend, letting go of him in a panic.
"Nothing happened to you. It's like-- it's like you're immune." Jackson stuttered, ignoring Lottie's threat as she looked down at her hands, willing them to stay normal.
"I don't have a clue what you're talking about." Lydia pleaded, frightened.
"It's you. Whatever it is--blood, saliva, whatever soul-killing substance is running through your veins--you did this to me. You ruined it for me." Jackson ranted, ignoring the tears falling from Lydia's face. Lottie, who now had a hold on her temper, turned her glare back to the boy, clenching her fist, ready to deliver a blow when he carried on. "You ruin everything." And Lottie swung.
She landed her right fist just in the spot under Jackson's eye and above his cheekbone, hitting him with enough force that he fell to the floor. She couldn't control herself. She didn't hate Jackson, just how he treated one of her closest friends. And she'd be dammed if she let him get away with it.
"Talk to her like that again, touch her like that again, look at her like that again... And I'll kill you. Understand?" She threatened as he looked up in shock clutching his face, nodding slightly as he got up and walked away. "You okay Lydipad?" Lottie asked, calming instantly and hugging the strawberry blonde to her chest. Smiling softly when she felt the girl nod against her she pulled away. "You don't hate me for punching him do you?"
"No. He deserved that one." Lydia sniffled. "You should go to the nurse's office. I'm gonna head to the bathroom, I'll see you later." Lydia departed, wiping her face with a smile as Lottie smiled back at the girl before going on her hunt for Stiles. She spots him sitting at a table with a boy named Boyd.
"Hey Boyd, how are you?" She asked as she plopped herself in the seat next to Stiles.
"Charlotte. I'm good, thank you. How are you?" He replied politely.
"I'm good thank you, why don't you come over and sit with me, Scott and Stiles? Come on! It'll be fun." Lottie asked, hating the way he sat alone.
"I'll consider it, thank you Charlotte."
"Please, call me Lottie." She smiled, beaming when he smiled back.
"So you got the keys?" Stiles asked, smiling when Boyd pulled the keys out of his pocket and held them in front of the duo.
"This isn't a favour. It's a transaction." Boyd sassed as Stiles tried to take them and Lottie rolled her eyes.
"Right. Absolutely." Stiles relented, sliding over a twenty as Lottie raised a questioning brow.
"I said fifty." Boyd deadpanned as Lottie began to rummage through her bag for her purse.
"Really? I could have sworn you said twenty. I have a really good verbal memory. There was a distinctive twuh sound. As in twenty." Stiles tried.
"I said fifty. Which has a fuh sound. Hear the difference? If you can't, I could demonstrate some other words with a fuh sound."
"I say, I'm bored of this back and forth." Lottie mumbled as she finally reached her purse.
"No, I think I'm recalling it now. But maybe I got it confused with forty?" Stiles tried again, sliding another twenty dollars on the table. "Come on, dude. Have you seen the piece of crap Jeep I drive?"
"You see the piece of crap bus I take?" Boyd replied, smiling as Stiles added another ten.
"Right, I'm over it. First of all, don't insult Roscoe like that, Stiles. Second of all, this should cover it. There's one hundred and then with Stiles' fifty you have $150. Sorry for his haggling." Lottie offered, handing over the money.
"I only asked for $50?" Boy was confused to say the least, hesitant to take it.
"Put it towards a car or save it for a date or something. Just take it. It's not mine anymore." Lottie smiled. "Now, we have to get back to Scott but my offer for you to sit with us is always there okay?"
"Thank you, Lottie."
"Got 'em. I'll pick you up tonight after work and we'll meet at the rink. Cool?" Stiles asked Scott as the duo sat across from him. Lottie grinned, looking at Stiles, admiring the moles on his face whilst he was distracted. "Scott?" Stiles tried as the boy remained unfocused, his eyes trained on the cafeteria doors as his left ear twitched, indicating he could hear something both Lottie and Stiles could not. Then the doors burst open.
Legs extending for miles, clad in leather boots and a black mini skirt, Erica Reyes walked through the doors with a smirk on her face as the entire student body dropped to the floor. Stiles looked briefly before turning his attention back to the girl sitting next to him, who could not for the life of her take her eyes off the girl. Heels clacked across the room as Erica made her way over to a boy and stole his apple, chomping a bite out of it as Lydia made her way over to the trio's table.
"What. The. Hell. Is. That." She spat out, furious that her thunder was being stolen.
"T-That's Erica." Scott stuttered as he stood to his feet, along with Lottie and Stiles, who began to follow the girl out of the cafeteria. The trio ran behind the girl, trying to catch up, only to fall short when they stumbled out of the school's exit and saw Erica smirk their way when she climbed into a black Camaro. Derek's Camaro. Derek, looked up from his shades and sent a smile to the boys, only dropping that smile when he caught the thunderous look on Lottie's face, before flooring it and speeding out of the school parking lot.
"Now what the fuck do we do about that?" Lottie fumed, turning to the boys who gulped.
"He's creating a pack." Scott thought aloud.
"Of teenagers who don't know better. I'm gonna kill that mangy fleabag." Lottie muttered, walking back into the school as the boys trailed after her, smiling at the small girl's fiery temper.

Lottie arrived at the ice rink with Stiles and Scott in tow, smiling as she spotted Allison and Lydia waiting for them. As Stiles unlocked the doors, Lottie ran up to them and engulfed the girls in a hug, squealing.
"Finally. It feels like it's been forever, I've missed you girls." Lottie beamed as she pulled back from the hug. Allison smiled down at her.
"Lottie, you saw me a few hours ago." Lydia rolled her eyes with a smile.
"I just loves ya." Lottie smiled as they entered the building, running up to Stiles and jumping on his back as Allison and Lydia shared a knowing grin. "Stiles, how do you always manage to catch me?" She laughed.
"I'll always catch you Lotts, I'd never let you fall." Stiles told her affectionately, meaning more than just physically catching her. He put her down gently onto the bench and grabbed two pairs of skates, one for himself and one for her. Bending down in front of her, he began to untie her laces and slipped off her shoes, unaware of the doting look she was giving him and the teasing looks the trio behind them were sharing.
After he put on her skates, Stiles sat beside her and put on his own as the rest of the group took to the ice. Shivering slightly, Lottie turned to Stiles with a smile, looking between him and Lydia who was spinning like an expert on the ice. She turned back to face Stiles and leaned back slightly as he shoved an orange jumper in her face.
"What's this for?"
"You're shivering and you always steal my hoodies so I figured I'd give you this one!" He beamed, hoping she'd take it.
"Oh you're the best! And it's orange too! Like the Mets!" She grinned at him as he dropped his jaw, he couldn't believe that she actually paid that much attention.
"You remember?"
"What? The colour of the team you've supported for as long as I've known you? Of course Stiles. You're my best friend." She smiled as she stood, wobbling slightly as she put the jumper on.
"You're my best friend." He agreed, smiling back at her as he held out his hand for her, blushing slightly as she clasped his hand in hers tightly as they made their way onto the ice.
The two skated round the rink slowly, chatting and completely unaware of the world around them, occasionally brought back to the real world when Scott fell over. Scott and Allison eventually left, leaving Stiles, Lottie and Lydia on the ice. Lydia was trying to teach Lottie how to spin when she gazed off in the distance. Lottie stopped spinning and crashed into Stiles who held her up as they watched Lydia crouch to the floor.
Slowly skating over to her, they both clutched their ears as Lydia let out an ear-piercing scream, petrified by something. She continued to scream, even as Scott and Allison came bursting back to the rink. Eventually she calmed herself and asked Allison to take her home. Lottie, Stiles and Scott silently returned the ice rink to how they found it and left, dropping Scott off first, Stiles drove Lottie to his house.
"I'm staying here tonight then am I?" She asked, reaching out her hands as Stiles opened her door for her. Shaking his head with a smile, he pulled her hands and lifted her onto his back, carrying the sleepy girl to his house.
"Yep, it's been a long day and I have a feeling this is only the beginning." He mumbled, unlocking the door and climbing up the stairs slowly. Lottie sighed internally, she knew she needed to tell Stiles about what was happening to her. She just needed to work up the courage.
"Stiles. I need to tell you something." She said, looking anyway but his eyes as they entered his room.
"What's wrong?" He asked, linking his pinky with hers and pulling her to sit next to him.
"I haven't been completely honest with you about the night I drowned." She sighed. He turned her face gently, searching her eyes.
"Lottie, whatever it is. You know I'm here for you." He mumbled, his eyes flickering to her lips.
"I-I was-" She was cut off by the sound of Stiles' phone ringing, Scott was calling. "Answer the phone."
"No Lotts-"
"Hey Scotty. What's up?" Lottie answered the phone, losing all courage and seeing an easy escape. Scott then explained how he believed Derek was forming his own pack and how two beta's won't be enough. They left the phone call with the promise that tomorrow, Scott would talk to Erica and Stiles and Lottie would try to figure out who the next beta was going to be.
"Stiles. Can I have some boxers please? These jeans are not to be slept in." She asked sleepily as the boy handed her some, blushing at her laying in his bed. Turning away, he let her change, turning back when she tapped him on the shoulder. He quickly changed into some plaid pyjama pants and a navy top before sliding into bed beside her.
"You sure you're okay Lotts? You know you can tell me anything?" He mumbled as she wrapped her arms around him, taking the position of big spoon looking comical as she was several inches smaller than Stiles.
"I know. Another time. Now, less talking and more snuggling." She whispered as she nuzzled her face into his neck, inhaling his scent subtly as he swallowed his nerves back.
"Goodnight, Lotts."
"Night night, Stiles."

Lottie was standing by her locker when she saw Boyd walking past her. She quickly picked up her bag and followed after the boy, calling his name.
"Boyd! Wait up!" Boyd stopped walking and turned to face Lottie, avoiding eye contact. "Hey, goodness you walk so fast. But that's probably because you're like a foot and a half taller than me. I wish I was that tall. It's hard being small, you know?" She rambled, unaware that the boy was biting back a smile. "Anyway, are you gonna sit with us today? I really wanna get to know you Boyd. You seem like a lovely guy, I hate you sitting alone."
"Not today Lottie. I have places I need to be." He replied, walking away before she could reply. Lottie frowned slightly, put off by how abrupt he was, his exit was swift after all. She entered the cafeteria when she saw a panicked Stiles pointing at Boyd's table, talking to Scott.
"Scott, you see that?" Stiles asked.
"What? It's an empty table." Scott hugged Lottie as she approached, confused.
"Yeah but who's empty table?" Stiles pressed as the lightbulb moment happened.
"Boyd."
"I just saw him leave, he said he had somewhere to be?" Lottie explained.
"I'll go to the ice rink and see if I can find him there. If he's not at his house, you call me. Got it? And Lottie, do a final check of the school, then come to the rink okay?" Scott told Stiles and Lottie.
"Maybe we should let him. Boyd. You said Derek's giving them a choice, right?" Stiles offered to the group as he paused, making the trio stop.
"We can't." Scott fumed.
"Dude, you have to admit, Erica looks pretty good. The word sensational comes to mind." Stiles said before he thought about the words coming out of his mouth.
"Sensational? You think she looks sensational?' Lottie asked, her jealousy seeping out of her pours and filling up Scott's nose.
"No- I-"
"How about Isaac? He's a wanted criminal for a murder he didn't commit because of this bite? Is that sensational?" She continued her tone bordering on rude as she couldn't contain her jealousy.
"How good do you think she's going to look with a wolfsbane bullet through her head?" Scott added, cutting off the inevitable argument, he just wished they'd hurry up and get together.
"I'm just saying maybe this one isn't your responsibility." Stiles explained, hesitantly meeting Lottie's eye, looking away bashfully as she rolled her eyes.
"They all are. You know this thing's going to get out of control. That makes me responsible." Scott ended the discussion.
"Okay. I'm with you. And I have to say this new heroism thing is making me very attracted to you." Stiles agreed, smiling when he saw Lottie begrudgingly grin in his direction, shoving his shoulder lightly.
"Shut up." Scott mumbled, smiling lightly.
"You want to try making out for a second? See what it feels–"
"Okay love birds. We have a Boyd to find." Lottie grinned, shoving them out of the door.

After quickly realising that Boyd was not at the school, Lottie got a lift from Danny to her house and grabbed her car keys before speeding over to Boyd's house. She wanted to make sure that he hadn't gone there later and that Stiles wasn't still there. However, once she got there, she saw a sight that made her freeze in her tracks and her blood boil.
Stiles was laying in a crumpled heap on the floor of Boyd's front porch. When Lottie got over the initial shock, she felt rage take over, her eyes began to change and her claws started to extend, inciting panic within her as she did not want Stiles to find out like this. Focusing on calming down, she ran over to the boy and fell to her knees next to him.
"Stiles? Stiles, come on." She called out, shaking his shoulders gently, trying to rouse him. "Stiles? Come on baby, wake up. Please, Stiles." She tried, pulling him into her lap, his upper body laying against her, his back to her chest. "Stiles, come on, wake up, please." She whispered, tears collecting in her eyes. A breath of relief left her mouth as Stiles groaned.
"Lotts?" He asked groggily.
"Oh Stiles." She squeezed him tightly, burying her nose into his neck. He slowly turned and faced the girl, wrapping his arms around her with a grin.
"Worried about me, Lotts?" He asked cheekily, trying to cheer the girl up.
"Always. What on Earth happened? Boyd wouldn't do this to you."
"Erica happened." He told her as they began to slowly stand, although once Lottie heard Erica's name leave his mouth she froze.
"What do you mean Erica happened?" She asked, closing her eyes tightly, knowing they'd be changing as rage began to fill her being.
"Well, I was here and banging on the door, trying to see if Boyd was home and then all of a sudden Erica was behind me and she did her whole threatening spiel, told me she used to have a crush on me," Lottie gulped as she heard him say Erica had a crush on him, she couldn't deny the girl has always been beautiful but now she had the confidence to match, "Then I tried to leave but she said I was having car trouble and hit me round the head with some object that I'm certain is key to Roscoe running and then you showed up." He explained as he climbed into the passenger seat of Lottie's car.
"I'm going to kill her." Lottie decided as she started her car before dialling a tow truck to take Stiles' car to the garage.
"Well that's not necessary, but we should probably see if Scott is okay." Stiles said, silently beaming at how protective of him, Lottie was.
"Stiles, we are going home, you need to rest. I'm taking you home. End of discussion." She told him.
"Okay boss. Mine or yours?" He asked, grinning sleepily at her.
"Yours." She decided as she began to drive.
The two listened to Taylor Swift quietly in the car, a comfortable silence taking over the vehicle. The two quickly arrived at the Stilinski household and made their way in the house and up to Stiles' bedroom. After the teenage boy got dressed and into bed, he noticed Lottie was still dressed and stood by the door. Sending a curious glance her way, she sighed and smiled at him.
"I need snacks. We are going to have a movie night and I'm not craving gummy worms for once. I want cola bottles."
"Oh. Well we can-"
"Nope, you're resting. I'll be back soon." She smiled as she made her way over to him and kissed his forehead, leaving the boy gulping for air like a fish out of water. "I'll be back soon."
Making her way out of Stiles' house, her smile faded and a look of pure determination and rage settled on her face. Climbing in the car she set the maps up to take her to her destination. She was getting her cola bottles, however she was making a slight detour first.
Pulling up at the house, she noticed an open window on the side of the house. Stealthily walking to it she climbed in the house, silent as a mouse. Once inside, she began to listen out for any noises, wishing she'd acquired werewolf hearing. Upon hearing nothing she made her way up the stairs before setting her sights on one bedroom in particular. Walking in, she found it empty and decided to make herself comfortable, sitting herself down on the bed.
After waiting fifteen minutes, Lottie was sitting bored, extending and retracting her claws with ease, the practice paying off, when she heard the front door open. A grin settled on her face as she heard cautious footsteps tread carefully up the stairs, the grin falling off her face when she remembered why she was there. Suddenly a figure burst through the door.
"Hello Erica." Lottie smirked evilly at the girl from her seat on Erica's bed.
"Lottie? What are you doing here?" Erica asked, looking confused.
"You don't get to call me that. You hurt Stiles. Now I'm going to hurt you." Lottie hissed, flashing her white eyes at the girl who cowered back in shock.
"Wh-what are you?" Erica stuttered, extending her own claws and fangs to defend herself.
"I'm sure this is the part where I say something cliche like your worst nightmare." Lottie chuckled darkly as she extended her own claws and fangs, smirking when she heard Erica gulp.
Lottie lunged first, swiping at Erica who narrowly dodged the attack, taking a swing for Lottie but also missing. In the aftermath of the swing, Lottie grabbed Erica's arm and twisted it behind her back, pulling on it harder and harder until she heard a pop - Erica's shoulder came out of its socket. Erica let out a howl of agony. Lottie knew that Derek would have most likely heard that so she knew she'd have to be quick.
As Erica hunched over, Lottie swung a fist at the highpoint of Erica's cheekbone, knocking her head sideways, leaving her side open for Lottie to make a deep, long gash on Erica's rip cage. Five slash marks gushed blood quickly onto the girls beige carpet. Leaning down to her ear, Lottie whispered in Erica's ear.
"If you ever, and I mean ever, go near Stiles again. I will kill you. And I'll make it look like an accident. Do you understand me?" When Erica went to sputter an answer, Lottie cut her off. "Nod if you understand me." When she received a nod, Lottie forced Erica to meet her eyes, which were frozen in their icy white state.
"You're going to forget I was ever here. You were attacked, you didn't see who it was. You will not tell anyone about my threat but you'll remember it. You won't remember who I am." Lottie used her new ability to compel Erica to her desire before smirking at the hazy look in Erica's eyes.
Dropping Erica to the floor, Lottie made her exit swiftly, practically running to her car. She heard the roll of Derek's Camaro in the far distance so she quickly jumped into her car and sped off, hoping that her compulsion worked, she needed to visit Mayalila soon, she had so many more questions she needed answered before she told her friends.
She drove back to Stiles' house and thought about her actions. She had always had a angry side to her, but it had never been as physical as it had been on late, her punching Jackson, her attacking Erica. She was sure it had something to do with the bite. The bit that worried her was that she had no regrets about either. In her eyes, both victims of her assault had hurt two people that were close to her, one of which she was sure she was falling for. She'd do whatever it takes to keep her friends safe. And she'd do more than that to keep Stiles safe.
Lottie made her way back up to Stiles' room and grinned softly as she saw the boy asleep with his mouth open, a sliver of drool hanging out of his mouth. Quickly changing into some of his clothes she climbed in beside him.
"Lotts?"
"It's me, Stiles. Go back to sleep." She shushed him. She snuggled deeper into his side as he put an arm around her.
"Why did you take so long?" He asked sleepily, pulling the girl close to him.
"I couldn't find any cola bottles. I went to a couple of stores. Go to sleep, Stiles."
"Okay. Love you." He mumbled incoherently, unaware of what he just said and the smile on the girls face.
"Love you too Stiles. More than you know." She mumbled back, grinning from ear to ear as she rested her head on his chest and fell into a blissful sleep.
{side note: i love erica, i promise, but we can't have lottie get on with everyone now can we 🤭}
