Chapter Ten:
Graduation

It was now the day I have been waiting for since forever. Today was graduation! I got up and started getting dressed already having five missed calls from Jess.

After getting dressed I ran downstairs seeing Dad standing there with a sad smile and I camera. I smiled at him and gave him a hug as we started heading out to the car. Bella was driving because after graduation we were going to the Cullens.

Well not right after all three of us were going to the diner to eat some pie and ice cream then got to the party.

Getting to the high school I smiled at dad as I went to go take my seat that was beside Jasper and Alice beside him since Bella was sitting beside Edward.

"Are you both ready to graduate with your amazing best friend?" I asked them and they smiled at me as Jasper wrapped his other arm around me since he already had one around Alice.

"Yes, we are," Jasper told me making me small as Jess walked up the stage. I gave her an encouraging smile as she started her speech. She smiled back at me as she started.

"When we were five, they asked us what we wanted to be when we grew up our answers were things like astronaut, president, or in my case, princess," Jess said making me smile at her.

"Mine was a princess too," I muttered to Jasper who laughed at me.

"When we were ten, they asked again and we answered rock star, cowboy, or in my case, gold medalist," Jess said making me look towards Jasper.

"I guess yours never changed then Cowboy," I whispered to Jasper making him playfully glare at me. I laughed at him leaning into his embrace.

"But now that we've grown up, they want a serious answer. Well, how 'bout this: who the hell knows?!" Jess says making everyone holler from the audience. I cheer the loudest for her making her smile at me.

"This isn't the time to make hard and fast decisions, it's the time to make mistakes. Take the wrong train, and get stuck somewhere chill. Fall in love – a lot. Major in philosophy because there's no way to make a career out of that. Meet a person that changes your life like Anastasia Swan changed mine," Jess said making me look up at her with tears in my eyes.

"Change your mind. Then change it again, because nothing is permanent... So make as many mistakes as you can. That way, someday, when they ask again what we want to be... we won't have to guess. We'll know," Jess says and when she finishes I am the first one up clapping and cheering.

"That is my best friend!" I yell making everyone laugh at me. As Jess shakes her head.

They then start calling everyone's name. For Jasper and Alice, I jumped up out of my seat screaming as I cheered them on making them laugh at me. I did the same for Bella and she looked down embarrassed.

"Anastasia but as she requested Ana Swan," the principal says as I start to walk across the stage. As I get my diploma my dad, Jasper, Alice, Emmett, Rosalie, and Jess all jump up cheering my name.

I look down with a blush but as I try to walk off the stage the principal stops me. I look at him confused as he heads to the mic.

"Here at the school, we have students vote for someone they believe should give a speech. And this year's winner was Ana Swan. So Ms.Swan," the principal said surprising me.

I clear my throat walking over to the podium. I smile out at everyone as I started to speak.

"Wow, I had no idea about this. I have been helping Jess with her speech for about a month now and I have to give my own," I said making others laugh. I took a deep breath and I looked to Jasper who gave me an encouraging smile.

"When I call your name please stand: Jasper Hale, Alice Cullen, Bella Swan, Edward Cullen, Jessica Stanley, Angela Webber, Charlie Swan, Rosalie Hale, and Emmett Hale," I said as every one of them stand up they all looked confused at me but I just continued to smile.

"These people are the ones who have saved me, protected me, loved me, and have been my rock since I moved here. I can never say thank you enough to all of them because they are the people who made me who I am. Jessica Stanley and Angela Webber were the ones who have held me as I cried and who stood up for me no matter what. Charlie Swan is my father who has always looked out for the best interest of me and my sister.

My twin Bella swan who I use to dislike has now become one of my best friends. Edward Cullen who I still don't like fully but has become like an annoying little brother to me. Alice Cullen has become my sister to me in everything but blood. Jasper Hale has become someone I never knew I needed until I meet him. He was the first person I talked to at this new school. He was my first friend here and will be my best friend for eternity.

And last but not least is Emmett Cullen and Rosalie Hale. The two loves of my life and I can not wait for the rest of our eternity together.

I say to everyone here to find people like I have found her because with them you will be okay. Because they will forever be the ones who will be our solid ground. Your North Star. And the clear voices in our heads that will forever be in our hearts. Always," I said with a smile and tears in my eyes.

As I stepped back everyone stood up and was cheering and applauding my speech. I smiled wiping my tears as I started to head down back to my seat. Getting to Jasper and Alice Jasper immediately pulled me into a hug.

"I love you, Ana," Jasper told me making me smile as I hug him back.

"I love you too Cowboy," I told him as the principal said to stand.

"I hear by congratulate the class of 2010 as graduates. Congratulations!"  The principal yelled as we all laughed and threw our caps in the air.

I was immediately brought into a hug by Jasper and Alice. I laughed hugging them back before I was pulled from them and into another embrace.

"We did it! And your speech was amazing!" Jess yelled making me laugh as I hugged her back.

"I love you, Jess," I told her and she smiled at me hugging me back.

"I love you too Ana," Jess told me and when we released I had tears in my eyes.

"No don't cry," Jess told me and I lifted my head to try and stop the tears.

"It's not sad tears it's happy tears. I promise," I told her and she smiled at me pointing to behind me.

"Someone is waiting on you," she told me making me smile hugging her once more before turning to my dad.

"I am so proud of Munchkin," Dad told me making me smile and hug him.

"Thank you, Dad," I told as we pulled away and he smiled down at me with tears in his eyes.

"No seriously you and your sister are my biggest achievements," Dad told me making me smile at him as I hugged him once more.

"I love you, Dad," I told him and he smiled down at me kissing the top of my head.

"I love you too Munchkin," he told me as he went to go find Bella. I smiled at his retreating back as I suddenly pull into someone's embrace.

"I am so proud of you Annie," Emmett told me and I smiled hugging him back.

"Thank you," I told him as he leaned down and kissed my lips softly. When we pulled away I was pulled into a familiar embrace.

"Your speech was amazing baby," Rosalie told me and I smiled at her as she leaned down and kissed me softly but passionately on the lips.

"Thank you, Rosie," I told her with a smile, and as we pulled apart I smiled at everyone who was smiling and laughing. I smiled at my family. I just hoped that we would all stay this happy not knowing what was coming.
