Call

"Mom" Leah said into the phone

"Leah honey it's got to hear from you what's going on?" Sue asked

Upon hearing the worry and sadness in her daughters voice. Sue knew something was wrong but what that was or how bad it was she didn't know.

"Mom I'm coming home" leah said

It had been almost a year and she was unaware of the things happening back home. She didn't know that Embry had phased but she didn't even know about that world just yet. She didn't know that the legends were true or that vampires existed or shapeshifters were real. She didn't know anything about the supernatural world not yet at least. Her parents weren't sure she ever would but Ashley knew deep down what might happen or what was going to happen. Ashley had special abilities and she was different that others. Of course, Leah didn't know any of that while trinity knew a little bit about her heritage. Leah only thought the supernatural world was a legend and myth but things would soon change that.

"What happened Leah is everything okay, what about trinity and Ashley?" Her mom questioned

Not knowing what happened or why Leah had suddenly changed her mind on coming home. Last sue checked Leah was living her happy little family life and wouldn't be home for a while. Although things changed and not in a happy way either. Leah wanted to snap at her mother but she couldn't because it wasn't her mothers fault. It wasn't Leah or trinity's fault either but Leah felt as thought it was her fault. That maybe she truly was cursed and everyone around her would either leave or get hurt because of her.

"I'll explain when we get there okay" Leah said

"Okay honey, wait did you say we?" Sue questioned catching what her daughter had said

"I'll explain everything when home okay" Leah said trying not to snap at her mom

"Okay Leah come back safely please" her mom said

"Okay love you" Leah said and then the call ended

Trinity was sleeping when leah began to pack the things around that belonged to the two of them. She didn't know how to get trinity so they things that weren't at her apartment, but she figured they could either figure that out or buy new things. She packed trinity's phone, her charger, clothes and things that were important to the thirteen year old. She knew she needed to wake the young girl and plan the trip plus explain what was even going on in that moment. But Leah was worried about what was going to happen when she did get home. She wanted to stop packing and begging panicking again but she knew that wasn't the right thing for this moment in time. So she took a deep breath as tears formed in her eyes and kept packing what she could and what they would need. It had been a while since she seen anyone from her hometown and truth be told she hoped it would be longer than what it had been.

She was scared, frightened and not only that but now she had a child to care for that was until trinity turned eighteen of course. She was now trinity's legal guardian and she didn't know how to handle this how to handle any of it. Hell she wasn't even thinking about the baby she once could have had. Then if she did she would be taking care of two kids instead of one and that mere thought scared her even more. She worried for trinity's safety and for the things that would happen and most importantly what might end up being Leah's fault. The girl would be moving to a whole new world, a whole new place with people she didn't know. She worried for the girl going to a new school and not having her mother with her for the challenges she might face. She worried about having to care for the child but she knew her mother would help her out. She just worried about what people would say when she got home.

She sat on the floor processing what happened in the few hours that passed. And that's when she finally broke, she kept blaming herself for all that happened recently and in her past. She cried for the loss of her friend and the loss of the girls mother. She lost her only friend here and now she was entrusted in taking care of a thirteen year old girl. A girl she might have know for almost a year but that was still such a sort time to be trusted with such a big responsibility.

It took a week or two but they finally had a way home only then did Leah explain to trinity what was planned or what was about to happen. She worried what the girl might think but she wanted to give the girl one thing she wanted and that was to travel. After all her and Ashley had planned that much for trinity it's the least she could do now that she was trinity's legal guardian. Even though now Ashley wouldn't be part of that traveling plan which might have been sad. Leah knew she had to keep one thing going for the young thirteen year old girl that was now under her care.
