Reva was sitting across him at the corner table of the Shephard's cafe. Their hands secure in one another's and eyes intermingled.

"That's like my girl!"
Karthik exclaimed.

"Hey! I am not your property for you to say that."
Reva snapped.

"I was just.. I was.. I was owning you up. You are mine aren't you?"

"I am your girlfriend. Not your possession."

"But you said that you wanted a boyfriend who could own up in public."

"You own up the love... Honey! And not the person."

"Of course I can. I will own you up and you will be able to do nothing."

"Oh you wish.. you little pig!"

"Pig? Reva we agreed on bunny!"

"But you're talking like a pig."

"You've got to realise that pigs do not talk."

"Bunnies do not talk either!"

"Yeah but they are atleast cute."

"So you are saying pigs aren't? "

"Yes... "

"See that's why I called you a pig!"

Karthik kept thinking for a while and then something suddenly flicked across his mind.

"So I am not cute!! That's what you are saying huh? You mean I am filthy and.. and ugly and dirty and disgusting?! Well Reva Balchandani, you have broken my heart. I thought you loved me.. but you.. you go love your pigs!"

"Hey.. when did I say that? The CCTV here, is working if you don't realise.
And yes.. I am.. I am loving my pig and I love him so much I don't care if he is all that what you just said."

"Oh my god! How did you.. how did you do that? You just said I love you in the best way ever...
You are soooooo.. great, I love you. And I am afraid I may never be able to love someone else."

"So were you planning to?"

"Yeah.. I thought it was kinda cool to have to girlfriends at a time."

"You wuss... I hate you."

"Just kidding! I love you."

"I know."

"You do?"

"I do!!!"

Their eyes sparkled at each other just realising the depth of what Reva had just said.

"I hope I get to say that too. You know.. I so wanna!"
Karthik said finally breaking the silence.

"I know. But aren't we a bit too young to be talking about that?"

"We maybe, but our love isn't. It's mature and grown. And I am not afraid to say that I want to spend my whole life with you. You and only you!
I wanna.. I wanna be the guy who gets owned up by his wife. I wanna be the guy who is a feminist. I wanna be the guy who gets outwitted by his wife. I wanna be the guy to hold up and maintain a feirce wife whom no one else can handle. I wanna be the guy whom Reva Balchandani marries!"

"Oh my goodness! Karthik, that's shitty. Okay? I mean it isn't even legal for us to discuss these things publicly. And I told you I don't have marriage plans until I am 33. Okay? So if can't wait, go find someone else."

"What? I thought it was romantic. Was it bad? Was the.. the grammar incorrect?"

"No honey, but the timing certainly was."

"So.. you did not like that beautiful peice of poetry?! How dull are you?"

"Don't even get me started on how dull. And yes.. I did not like that beautiful peice of poetry of yours.. but maybe Karan Johar may wanna use that in his next!"

"What do you mean?"

"It was filmy.. and cheesey. And I did not buy it at all. We love each other and that does not mean we have to become the next level of Raj and Simran. I am Reva and I would like you too to remain Karthik. Love is not about an "exciting"  romantic dialogues.. but it's about maybe a "dull" promise that we make to each other and swear by it for a lifetime."

"I.... I never knew you thought about us this way. I am sorry."

"You don't have to be for that.. but you will have to be for not ordering the food!"

"Oh... Sorry.. well I willl order something for you.. so umm waiter...
We'll have a...

"Chicken fried rice!"Reva said

"Yess.. chicken fried rice, a diet coke and a margarita.. pizza of course and how about.. umm get us some..

"Hey.. hold on! Who eats pizza with rice?!...
Reva was furious.
"I guess I'll be the one.. go bring 'em!"
Also Reva.

"What else sir?" The waiter obliged.

"Just some garlic bread would do."

They ate their lunch and then Reva said..

"Okay... After eating a lunch that could feed the entire city.. I have to go. Paa would be there any minute and you know how he has to see me home when he gets back!"

"Yeah who doesn't?!"
Karthik said as he was finishing the 2nd  pizza.

Reva blushed a little and looked at him adoringly eat his food.
He knew that she was staring but did not want to disturb her.
She stared at him for a little while.. paid the bill at the counter and then left!
