On the bright side, you'll stay beautiful forever and become stronger. So see it as a win-win for both of us." The famous Petrova vampire explains to the young human.

"What? Elena what are you talking about?" Caroline asks drowsily.

"I'm not Elena. Don't worry, I'll make it quick." Katherine removes one of the pillows that Caroline was lying on and smirks. "We'll soon be a team, partner."

"...What hit me?" A young girl resting in her hospital bed, groans and tries to sit up but someone stops her from doing so.

"Shh, lie back down. You still need to rest." A familiar voice gently says to the young girl.

Amelia squints her eyes and even through her vision is blurry, she is still able to recognize her older sister. "What happened?"

"You got into an accident. Tyler, Caroline and Matt are fine. You'll see them soon. Just focus on recovering, okay?" Amelia hears her sister's voice cracking.

Amelia blinks a few times until she is able to see her sister clearly, frowning upon seeing the eldest teary eyed. She continues staring for a moment then suddenly pinches the eldest cheek.

"What was that for?"

"Yep. Definitely not Elena." Amelia says, shocking the vampire.

"Wh- How did you-"

"You're giving a more sexy vibe than Elena and whenever I pinch her, she smacks me." Amelia explains.

Katherine takes a moment to snap out of her shock before chuckling and wiping her tears away with her hand.

"I don't have to pretend with you... You're the first person to tell us apart. This makes things more fun and it'll piss off Elena off even more."

"So Elena already knew about you?" Amelia scoffs. "She got on Aunt Jenna's case for not telling her about the adoption but doesn't even tell us about her long lost twin sister?"

Katherine scoffs. "Sweetie please don't insult me. It's bad enough that we're related to her. She's so plain and boring. The Salvatore brothers only took interest in her because she looks like me."

"Huh? You're not her twin?" Katherine shakes her head, confusing Amelia. "Then who are you and why do you look exactly like my sister? Are you a clone? Or is she your clone?"

"...I'll tell you everything at the right time. I have to go soon. I just wanted to come see you... I can't believe I get to see you again after all this time. I knew it was you the moment I saw you." Katherine tells her, gently moving away a strand of Amelia's hair. "God, you were so pretty when you were little but now you grew up to be so beautiful."

"What are you talking about? What do you mean..."

"I found you and you're safe. That's all that matters. And this time, I'm going to protect you... I won't ever lose you again, okay?"

Katherine gently kisses Amelia's forehead and the young girl suddenly sees a vision that takes place in older times.

"Katerina!" A young child shouts excitedly, running up to a teenage girl.

"Yes, Lia?" A smiling Katerina crouches down to the child's height.

"Happy birthday!" The young child giggles and offers Katerina a bouquet of flowers.

Katerina begins to tear up at the sight and accepts the gift while also bringing the child into a hug.

"Thank you, my little Lia. I shall always treasure this."

Amelia blinks a few times and stares at the doppelgänger with a shocked expression.

"...Katerina? Who or what the heck are you?"

Katherine is shocked and quickly leans in to begin her compulsion. "You need to focus on recovering. Go back to sleep and don't wake up until it's morning. Don't trust Elena or the Salvatore brothers. I promise to see you again soon...my precious sister."

I'm so excited for this because I finally came up with a better plot line! Tell me how we're feeling about this!

I wasn't planning to include Caroline in the first chapter but with Katherine's plans, I decided to change it a little bit as to why she turns Caroline into a vampire.

What do you think about Amelia and Katherine this time? See where I'm going with this? Ooh, I'm so excited for their bond!

Were you surprised how Amelia knew Katherine wasn't Elena upon the first meeting? I've always wanted someone not to be fooled even though they didn't know of Katherine's existence.
