Chapter 12

Alia sat on the edge of her bed....trying so hard to defeat her demons, she didn't like how fast she was crossing into the dark side, she didn't like how she had to sacrifice her life..... her children in order to protect them, but deep down she would do it a million more times...because she was a Jedi, a mother, a wife... and a best friend.

She yawned.... and felt her eyes get heavy, fast. She shook her head trying so hard to stay awake.

Suddenly her chamber door opened.

In walked Vader.

"What is it this time?" Alia asked.

"I was wondering if you would like to go to Naboo," Vader replied.

"What's in Naboo?" Alia asked.

"Padme's grave," Vader mumbled.

Alia stood up....

"I guess," Alia said.

"Okay, I'll have a ship ready... so we both can leave," Vader replied.

"We?" Alia asked.

"You didn't think I'd actually let you out of my sight, did you?" Vader questioned.

"I sense that you don't trust me," Alia said.

"I trust no one," Vader replied coldly.

"You use too," Alia sighed.

The ship landed on the familiar planet that Alia loved.... Where she grew up.

She rushed off and breathed in the sweet smell of Naboo.

All of sudden Vader walked off... which caused Alia to straighten up.

"Don't stop on my watch," Vader replied.

"I apologize.... It's just been forever since I've been here," Alia smiled.

"No need to apologize. I figured you needed a break," Vader said.

They walked to the cemetery.... in the center rested Padme's grave, flowers scattered everywhere. Alia started to tear up.... missing her dear friend.

"Oh Padme," Alia sighed.

"D-Did you love her?" Vader asked.

"I did! She was my sister.... My best friend," Alia said.

"I sense a but coming," Vader replied.

"But I loved Anakin more.... more then my own life," Alia replied.

Alia rested her hand on the casket and sighed.... remembering how her friend died.

"She died during childbirth, right?" Vader asked.

"Y-Yes.... It was tragic, I was in the room giving birth as well and then it just happened," Alia sighed.

"I couldn't imagine what you've gone through.... Especially after losing your husband," Vader said.

"It was horrible.... but people die," Alia mumbled, walking away.

Vader walked behind her.... sensing her sadness. Apart of him felt bad, but he couldn't let it show.

Alia stopped and faced Vader...

"Before we leave.... I'd like to stop somewhere," Alia sighed.

"Where?" Vader asked.

"The beach," Alia replied.

Vader nodded and followed behind her...
