BladeWings~

Looks: their scale color can range from any shade of grey, pink, purple, blue, or a combination of them all. They can have different patterns on their scales such as triangles, diamonds, zig-zags, etc.; tall and elegant shaped body; swirling long horns; clusters of knife-shaped spikes under their horns; long spines down their back getting smaller as they reach the end of their tail; big bat-shaped wings; slightly long sharp claws; long tail with what a spike on the end shaped like a knife; sharp keen eyes.

Abilities: can breathe a blast of crystals, some being only dust, some half a claw big. These crystals will imbed themselves in the scales of the receiving dragon, causing immense pain and itchiness. Itching it will likely cause a horrible infection that can result in death; they can stab dragons with their tail spike; teeth and claws of course.

Special abilities: Blade magic (known on Pyrrhia as Animus magic)

Society: The BladeWing society is merged greatly with FeatherWing society since both Queens are married to each other. Only females of the royal family can rule, so only sisters, daughters, aunts, and nieces can take the throne. The Queens are Queen Void of the BladeWings and Queen Hedwig of the FeatherWings. Queen Void and Queen Hedwig rule both tribes together, but Queen Void deals with most problems associated with BladeWings and Queen Hedwig with FeatherWings. In this way, the tribes are one yet separated at the same time. When the time comes, a BladeWing princess and a FeatherWing princess will decide to challenge both Queens in a fight-to-the-death. If no challenges are made up until either one or both Queens die, the two princesses can inherit the throne and rule together. They don't have to marry. Most BladeWings live in huts on the ground. Unless a BladeWing and a FeatherWing decide to marry, which they decide between a tree hollow, tree hut, or a hut on the ground.

Ruler: Queen Void (with Queen Hedwig)

Potential heirs: Princess Gloss (Queen's daughter), princess Glass (Queen's daughter), Princess Glaze (Queen's daughter), princess Galaxy (Queen's sister), princess Crystal (Queen's niece), Princess Diamond (Queen's niece)

Where they live: north-west of the continent Splatera, close to the Great Sleeping Dragon (a mountain range).

History: Thousands of years ago, long before the LightWing Revolution (which resulted in Queen Hedwig and Queen Void coming to rule), having Blade magic was very common among the tribe of BladeWings and there was no limitation to its usage. One day, during a horrific hurricane, a Blade magic dragon named Animus was blown out to sea. The hurricane carried him all across the ocean, to another continent. He landed in a sub-zero, snow and ice-covered landscape stretching for miles. With his remaining strength, Animus cast a spell on himself so he could withstand the freezing temperatures before passing out. He was on the brink of death when the SnowWings found him. They were bleached white with straight horns and snowflake-shaped patterns on the end of their tails, with an ice-cold breath that could freeze. The SnowWings took him and were able to nurse him back to health. To show his gratitude, Animus decided to help the tribe of SnowWings, since their numbers were rapidly decreasing from lack of prey and medical treatment. He used his Blade magic to up the number of breeding animals and made medical supplies from ice chunks.

The SnowWings were in awe in the light of Animus's power. While staying there, Animus fell in love with a female SnowWing named Sleet, who he married. After one year at the new continent, which he learned was called Pyrrhia, he created a path through the ocean so he could travel back to Splatera. The BladeWings and SnowWings started to collaborate and share resources such as education and prey. Another two years pass, and multiple BladeWing-SnowWing couples have had a dragonet. These dragonets had color-tinted scales with clusters of spines under their horns, spiked tails, and frost breath. These dragonets also had Blade magic.

Throughout a decade, SnowWings began having many many eggs with their BladeWing partners, trying to get more dragons of their tribe with Blade magic. Before Animus and the other BladeWings saw this greed, the SnowWings had created a mini tribe of super-powered hybrids. Animus was furious and tried to approach the SnowWings about their greed. The SnowWings denied this, thus the mating continued. The hybrids mated with SnowWings of their age, creating more hybrids with Blade magic. Realizing this wouldn't stop, Animus did what was never done before; he cast a spell on the magic itself. He charmed it to be incredibly rare, and that there was a price to pay for using it too much; evilness and insanity.

After casting this spell, he broke the gap between Splatera and Pyrrhia, ending their alliance. Years later, the tribe of SnowWings lived no longer, the last one dying. The only tribe left was the new tribe of hybrids, who named themselves IceWings. The IceWings never told their children the correct history of these events, saying there was always IceWings, and Blade magic was called Animus magic, named after the first Blade magic dragon setting foot in their lives.
