'Let me be damned if I get fired for this.' Sophie thought briefly and gently putting her right hand on Eggsy's left cheek, just to make sure he doesn't move, Sophie quickly pressed her lips to his corner of a mouth.

'Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.' Sophie yelled at herself in her head. 'Did I already forget what Harry told me?'

Deadly silence took over the quarters.

"Um..e.. I should.. go. Merlin needed some files." Sophie quickly explained and dashed to doors. Eggsy hot on her heels.

"Why would she do that?" Charlie looked at Roxy.

"Idiot." Roxy replied and rolled her eyes at him.

Sophie run out of the quarters shutting doors behind her and dashing down the corridor.

"Fucking shoes!" she cursed and quickly pulled them off leaving them there on the floor. After that Sophie continued her running down the corridor.

"Hey! Wait!" she could hear Eggsy running behind her. Grabbing both of her shoes in process.

All of the things that she had been through, all the things that Merlin and Harry had told her not to do. Oh, God how she wished that's he had listened to all of them.

She rushed in the elevator, clicking the button to go up hundred times. She tried to catch her breath and pleaded for elevator to close faster.

"It was stupid move! Forget about it!" Sophie yelled at him as the doors started to close.

"How was that stupid?!" Eggsy yelled back at her finally reaching the elevator and keeping doors open with his hands.

"Let go of the door, Unwin." Sophie said and pushed herself against the furthest wall from Eggsy. He still was looking at her.

"You know the rules." Sophie said still catching her breath.

"Fuck the rules." Eggsy said and wanted to step into the elevator but Sophie outstretched her hand and made him stop.

"Please. We... we... we can't." Sophie looked around the empty elevator.

"What do you mean we can't?" Eggsy still wanted to step closer, but Sophie's hand held him steady at certain distance.

"There are way too many problems in our way, you know that." Sophie whispered not trusting her voice.

"How would you know that if you haven't tried?" Eggsy answered her.

"We shouldn't even try..." Sophie looked at him.

Maybe he was right? Or maybe she was?

Swallowing lump in her throat Sophie pulled Eggsy closer by grabbing his training uniform and crushed her lips to his. Impulsive action. The elevator finally closed and the kiss soared in to the heavens above.

Never in her life has Sophie felt a kiss like that. He was kissing her as if she was the air that he so badly needed to breath. She couldn't get enough, he was addicting, like a drug that she couldn't get enough of. Letting Sophie's shoes fall to the ground Eggsy grabbed her face and kissed her harder. With moan Sophie raised her chin to end the kiss to catch her breath, but by doing this she gave Eggsy perfect opportunity to kiss her neck.

Sliding her hand in his hair she once more guided his lips back to hers. To feel his tongue fighting with her own was heavenly way to go. Lips soft as honey and the teeth that nibbled her lips from time to time made her want him even more as blinding desire shot through her whole body. Eggsy's hands slid down her sides to pick her up and push harder against her and the wall. Her legs now wrapped around his waist made her dress ride up, exposing more skin for Eggsy to touch and feel with his own.

"G-God, we shouldn't..." Sophie said through broken moan.

"But feels good, doesn't it..." Eggsy groaned against her neck. In no fucking way could she form coherent string of words to answer him, so she just leaned down and kissed him again. Was this a way of life saying that it has taken so much form her and now she deserves something good from it? Was Eggsy her savior from all of the things and thoughts that has been crushing her mind since early age? The one who'll guard her through all of her fever dreams and nightmares? Was he the missing part in her mundane life? If he was, then let her have him forever.

Eggsy rocked his hips into hers, his eagerness pretty obvious.

"Fuuck--" Sophie moaned and pulled on his hair, making him groan.

Doors of elevator opened and looking briefly behind himself Eggsy slowly let Sophie down.

"I hope you still have that black lingerie." Eggsy murmured in her ear breathing hard while still being pressed against her.

"Is that your favorite?" Sophie asked still catching her breath, not thinking straight.

"My preference is you being naked on my bed, luv." Eggsy said and took a step back to look at Sophie and enjoy her flushed face.

Swallowing hard Sophie looked at him. Really looked at him for the first time. Yeah, she has caught herself looking at him quite frequently, but now she looked at him differently. Maybe it was still lust clouding her mind, but she realized that Eggsy is everything she could ask for, yet could not actually have. It was almost unreal, this moment, the fact that it was only two of them. She looked at him thinking how lucky she must to be to have him as a part of her life, or maybe that she was unlucky to have him gone so soon?

"What happens now?" Sophie whispered her doubtful question. This question was as confusing for her as it was for Eggsy.

"No strings attached, remember?" She voiced out that damned rule.

"Besides, this could never work out." she had to lie, they could always try and maybe it would work out but, it felt so unreal while being a Kingsman.

"You don't know that." Eggsy furrowed his brows.

"Neither do you..." Sophie sighed and gently pushed him away from her, his hands still lingering around her waist. The heated moment slowly passing and leaving reality which was crushing both of them.

"Enjoy it while it lasts." Sophie said bitterly, swallowed and leaned down to pick up her shoes. Walking around Eggsy she exited elevator, but hand grabbing her wrist pulled her back and she stumbled in Eggsy's chest.

"You shouldn't have run after me." Sophie sighed.

"Shouldn't have kissed me and run away from me." Eggsy mumbled in her hair.

"Should have left it as a friendly kiss then." Sophie said and wrapped her hands around Eggsy's.

"Shouldn't have pulled me in the elevator." Eggsy quietly chuckled.

"Should have listened to Harry and Merlin." Sophie murmured and broke free from Eggsy's hold.

"What?" Eggsy looked at her.

"They warned me not to get attached. I tried, I really did. And look where we are now, breaking each other's hearts." Sophie pushed hair out of her face, hoping that she won't cry, but let out small sniff.

This is making her feel way worse than anything she had been through while living in the orphanage.

"Come 'ere." Eggsy said softly and pulled her back to him.

'Love is so stupid for making me feel like this. I just want to grab Cupid with his stupid arrows and throw him in a lake and let him drown.' Sophie absentmindedly wondered.

God, she needed to get away. But Sophie couldn't do it, it felt right to stand there in his arms.

"Promise me, that we won't meet like this again. Never." Sophie looked up at him and pleaded.

"You cannot ask that from me..." Eggsy shook his head.

"Promise me that this will never happen again." Sophie pleaded, stray tear running down her cheek.

"Every fiber in me is against it..." Eggsy looked past her.

"Promise me, Unwin!" Sophie hit his chest.

"I promise! Happy?!" He looked down at her.

"No." She murmured.

"'Course you'r' not." Eggsy brushed away her tears.

Ring from Sophie's pocket emitted and broke all serenity.

"Merlin's probably waiting for me... I should go now." Sophie pushed herself away from him.

"See you around, good luck with training." Sophie smiled bitterly and walked away not waiting for him to try and talk her out of it all. Putting on her heels in process, Sophie made her way down the corridor. Taking deep breaths, she tried to steady herself. And when she finally heard the doors of elevator close she turned to look at it.

He was gone.
