Taehyung's POV

"Taehyung , your schedule for this month is going to be packed . I hope you are ready for it ." Seokjin hyung said while sending me a  softcopy of my schedule via kakaotalk .

Yea we do things efficiently like this . Deal with it .

"Your cinderella play rehearsals will officially start today . I think its best that you get dressed now and we will head over to our destination according to the director's order. He doesnt like people who are late."

I nodded while groaning , figuring that i had to sacrifice my gaming time just for this shit . A new play meant a new script for me to memorise, and memorising was just a pain in the ass . 

I casually slipped on a baby blue top and told Seokjin hyung to find me at the carpark afterwards . The drive was about 45 minutes long and i took it as a chance to continue gaming on my phone .

When we reached our destination , i blinked my eyes a few times to adjust to the lighting in the dark theatre room . There were red velvety curtains hung on two sides of the stage and it made the stage look grand . It was beautiful . The flooring however was made of wood and it made some squeaky noises occasionally someone steps over it .

"Hey Taehyung ah!"

I looked over and cursed mentally , it was none other than Jeon Jungkook .

The boy grinned at me while offering me his hand for a high five . "Its so exciting to be working with you again!" He said excitedly but i responded with a low groan .

"Alright , i see that everyone is already here . The four of you , please gather infront of me ." The director's voice was booming loud thanks to the microphone and the PA system .

He then handed out our scripts and wanted up to look through it . As i flipped open the script , i rolled my eyes at the cliche story . Do people still watch and love cinderella ?

"Aww this is so sweet . I love it director !" Claire exclaimed out of no where , smiling while reading some of the cringe- worthy lines of her lines .

I peered over to look at Jungkook as he was on the last page and he was all flushed .  He then tilted his head up , making a awkward one second eye contact with me . He bit his lips , a sign of nervousness.

"Im sure that Jungkook and Claire would be able to portray these characters very well . But offcourse , if you two arent performing up to standard , i can switch your roles easily . And thats why Taehyung and Mackenzie are here for ." The director said while touching his own beard .

"Any constructive feedbacks for the script before we officially start this ? " he clapped his hands , waiting for any replies .

"Director , what if Jungkook does his role well and i wouldnt get a chance to even step on the stage ? Isnt that unfair for me ? Whats the point of memorising the script if i arent even going to step on the stage during the actual play ?" I arched my eyebrows up , questioning him .

Mackenzie seemed to not mind anything at all though , she kept all quiet . Geez , isnt she going to fight for herself ? What a great partner i have here .

" um ... you have to understand that we arent shooting a drama but doing a live theatre play . Understudies are equally important because we cant predict the future . You can practice with Jungkook anyways . It may seem insignificant to you now but trust me , you are very important in this play as the understudy. Do you understand now ?"

"No,  i still dont see the point of me memorising when i am not the main lead .  " i folded my arms , almost glaring at the director .
