Later, Amity got back to the Apartment. She was surprised to hear that Luz went home early. She entered their apartment and saw Luz packing.

"What's going on?"

"I'm... going to Milwaukie County Zoo for a couple weeks." Luz said, "They're bringing in a female alligator to breed with Tank and since I am 'Good with animals' they want me to go get accustomed with her. I'm leaving tomorrow morning."

"So... we won't be able to plan our wedding." Amity said.

"I know, Amity, I want you to know that I would want nothing more than to stay here and help you, but I could get fired for not going."

Luz didn't think the threat was real since she was the best the zoo had but the boss said this new alligator was too important to not bring over. Even if Luz was their best zookeeper, she was still at risk of being fired.

"I....I understand." Amity said but was still sadden by this.

"Hey, it's alright. I promise I'll call everyday to ask how you are and to tell you how much I love you." Luz said as she walked to Amity and held her hands. "We could even plan the wedding over video chat. It won't change the fact that nothing will stop us from being married."

"Well... I'm glad that you're helping the zoo." Amity said, "Come on, why don't I make us dinner."

Luz could see her sadness and gave her a kiss, making her surprised but happy as well.

"That's sounds wonderful." Luz said with a smile.

The next day, Amity dropped Luz off at the airport.

"Call me as soon as you get there." Amity said.

"I will. And be sure to tell all of the animals that I'll be thinking of them, even if you can't understand them." Luz said to her, giving Amity a kiss before heading into the airport.

Amity watched Luz walk away, mostly because Luz intentionally wore a pair of tights and knew Amity can't resist those. After Luz went in the airport, Amity drove to the zoo.

She still had her own job to do but it will be a little more dull without her loving hall of light there.

'I wonder how Camila and Eda took the news?' Amity thought, 'I should probably see Eda after work. I have things to talk about with her.'

As Amity reached the first stop light before the zoo, she felt her phone vibrating and quickly pulled it out to check it.

'Miss you already, sweetheart.' - Luz.

'Aren't you on a plane? And I love you too.'- Amity

'Hasn't taken off yet.'-Luz

On the plane, Luz was sitting in economy class with her phone in her hands, gazing out at the runway as the baggage handlers loaded up the luggage.

"Haven't been on that side of the country since I moved." Luz said.

Even if it wasn't the coast, it was still the eastern part of the country. It brought back some few good memories before she moved to San Diego.

"I hope you're okay by yourself, Amity."
