White Christmas - Yugi

Yugioh DM! Hinted Yami and Yugi

December 23rd

School has broken up, finally and the winter break can finally begin. For Yugi this is a special year, he has not only his Grandpa and sister but also Yami. As a gift, the Eqyption Gods gave Yami another chance at life, for the whole saving the world thing he did.

Yugi smiled as he walked down the high street, happily carrying his last Christmas purchase, a present for Yami himself. Though he was happy, he felt something was missing from this Christmas. As you walk down the streets things were decorated with trees and lights but there was no snow.

What is Christmas without snow?

It wasn't long before Yugi found himself at home. In entry of the house he heard the holiday music blasting through the rooms, most likely coming from the living room. Laughing to himself he walking into the living room, watching as Yami struggled the ball of tangled Christmas lights. "I'm home," he announced hiding the gift suckling before sitting next to his other self on the floor.

"Welcome home," Yami groaned, continuing to struggle. In frustration he throw the light ball into the sofa. "Why do you have those things?"

Yugi giggled. Yami was truly adorable. "It's a silly tradition," he shrugged, then observed the tree in front of them. "You did a good job of decorating the tree."

Suddenly Yami's personality flipped and he was proud of his achievements. "Thank you little one," he smiled. "How was your day?"

"It was good," Yugi hummed. "I finished some coding for the demo game my group is creating."

"I hope I get to play it soon," Yami mused.

The two sat in a comfortable silence until it was disturbed by the smell of Christmas cookies. "Enjoy boys!" Grandpa encouraged and they both gave in, happily taking the treats.

That night Yugi laid awake, watching the weather forecast on his phone closely. He so badly wanted it to snow and yet, nothing.

-------
Yugi sat up as he heard a soft knock on the door. "It's me," Yami's voice rang through his ears and he told his other self to come in. Yami sighed as he walked over to Yugi, taking a seat on his bed. "I can't sleep."

The younger laughed, leaning over to Yami. "Perhaps you're excited for your first Christmas," Yugi explained. "Honestly I can't sleep either."

"How come little one?" Yami asked.

"I want snow," Yugi mumbled. "And there's nothing!"

"Why do you want snow so badly?" Yami laughed at Yugi's small tantrum.

"Because," Yugi blushed. "I want to spend time in the snow with you." This time Yami blushed. He adored hearing such kind words from his lighter half. "Want to stay in here for a while? We could wtach a movie on my phone."

Yami nodded causing Yugi to bounce in excitement. The pair lay down together, Yugi's head in Yami's shoulder as Yami held the phone for them both to see. Yugi was happy, this was how Christmas should feel to him.

He wasn't sure how when he next work up, but Yugi knew that at some point during the movie, the pair fell asleep. He looked down, seeing Yami's calm face. This second chance was once in a life time and he wanted to share all his experiences with him that he possibly could. Yugi carefully leant forward to pull the curtain back and he gasped. The street, it was white! Everywhere was white! He couldn't believe it. In his excitement he began to shake his other's shoulders. "Yami, it's snowed." Yami groaned, turning to face the other way but Yugi had other ideas and pulled the covers off him. "Get up. Come on it snowed. Let's go outside."

The former Pharaoh stirred, looking at Yugi through half open eyes. It took a moment before realising what Yugi said. He shot up, peering out of the window. He grinned widely, jumping out of th4e bed and Yugi followed. The pair put on their coats, hats and, at last being able to, winter shoes. Before heading out the door Yugi stopped, grabbing a bag before they both ran down stairs and into the street. Yami stared in wonder, it was truly different to the sands of Egypt. With a softened smile he turned to the other. "Merry Christmas little one."

Yugi grinned, holding the gift bag in front of Yami. "Merry Christmas." Confused Yami took the bag, he reached his hand inside and pulled out what appeared to be a snow globe. He looked closure inside, seeing the museum covered in Christmas decorations. "It's because of that place we could learn more about you. Do you like it?"

"I love it Yugi," Yami used his free arm to hug the younger boy. "Thank you."

Yugi hugged back tightly. Seemed like he got his white christmas after all.
