*after the movie*

Kalel and I were walking out of the theatre. I pulled my hood up more and zipped up my hoodie. LA nights are cold especially in January.

"That movie was really good. I want a zombie boyfriend now." I said getting into the car.

"He was so dreamy. I thought the ending would be suckish but I loved how they were turning into humans."

"Me too! When it comes on blu-ray I'm buying it."

"Yes I hope it comes out soon!"

"Could you drop me off at Meghan's please?"

"Oh yeah I almost forgot. How are you getting home?"

"Joey is over there." I turned my phone on and I had a new text from Joey.

Joeyyyyy

"Kalel! Oh my god Jimmy broke up wih Meghan!"

"What?! How could he do that!??!"

"I don't know but Joey texted me and told me!"

"I'm coming it with you, this is terrible."

"Ok I'm sure she's very upset. Why would he do that? They were so happy!" Kalel sighed and turned down the next road.

"I wonder what happened?" Kalel asked.

"It must have been something terrible. They were so happy together. He asked Joey about proposing."

"Wow really?"

"Yeah he told me about it when I first met Meghan."

"Anthony and I went out with them many times. They were so....so perfect."

"I hope she's ok."

"Me too. If Anthony dumped me....."

"Yeah."

"Is this the next turn."

"Yeah." I pulled out my phone.

Me: What happened?

Joeyyyyy

Me: What the hell.

"Kalel, Jimmy just sat down and told her, like that he wanted to break up."

"What? That's bullshit!"

"What a little prick!"

"If I ever see him...." Kalel grumbled.

"Like what the actual fuck? Did he just get bored or something?!"

"I don't know but he must have been on drugs. Meghan is wonderful."

"I hope she ok."

"Me too." We turned down Meghan's road and pulled into her driveway. I jumped out of the car and ran inside. Meghan was sitting in a chair, eating sushi, covered up in a blanket. Her hair was a mess and I could see tear trails still on her face.

"Meghan." I ran over ad gave her a hug. She sniffled.

"Hey." She was so weak.

"Hi Meghan." Kalel said giving her a hug.

"Hi."

"Are you ok?" I asked. She shook her head no.

"Wanna go in your room and talk?" Kalel asked. Meghan got up and took her and the sushi to her room. Kalel followed. She turned around and looked at me.

"One sec." Kalel nodded and shut Meghan's door behind her. I turned around to Joey, who was on the couch. I gave him a hug.

"How was the movie?" He asked. I kissed him sweetly on the lips.

"Great. Do you mind letting a zombie eat your flesh so I can have a zombie boyfriend?" I asked jokingly.

"Anything for you." I rolled my eyes and laughed, I snorted and then covered my face because I hate when I snort. I felt the heat rise to my cheeks.

"That was adorable." I shook my head no still red faced. He pulled my hands away from my face. He pulled me into a kiss. I immediately relaxed. Joey pulled away.

"Meghan needs you." I nodded and ran to her room. I slowly opened the door to see Meghan crying in Kalels lap. I sat down next to them.

"Jimmy just told her that it wasn't her it was him and that they wanted "different things" and said that he wanted to still be friends. Meghan told her that she'd think about it."

"Oh god. Why the hell-"

"He didn't even let me talk to him!" Meghan blurted out still sobbing. Kalel and I had Meghan lay down and we covered her up. Kalel ran to the market to get some snacks and I was scrolling through Netflix waiting for Meghan to tell me what movie she wanted to watch. She finally nodded at Monsters Inc. I left the room after making sure she was ok. I walked into the living room to see David and Joey on the couch.

"...I can't believe him!" I heard David say.

"Hi David."

"Hey, how's Meghan?"

"Not so good. She's still crying but I don't blame her."

"Aww the poor girl." I went in the kitchen and grabbed two wine glasses, I was not getting drunk tonight. I filled them both up and brought one to Meghan. She took it and drank a few sips.

"Thank you. For everything."

"Don't thank me. I just want you to be alright." She nodded taking another drink. David poked his head in.

"Night Meghan." He gave her a hug.

"Can you fill me up?" She gave me her empty glass. I went to the kitchen and poured her another. Joey hugged me from behind, wrapping his arms around my waist, kissing down my neck.

"Joey," I whispered. "At home ok? Meghan needs me now."

"But I want you!" He whined. I pecked his lips.

"At home." I walked back to Meghan and gave her the glass. We watched the movie for a while before Kalel came in with many grocery bags. I took off my hoodie and tied my hair up, opening a bag of vegan cookies.

"MMM these are good!" They both grabbed one. Kalels eyes got wide and she started smiling.

"What?" I said with a mouth full of cookie. She whispered to Meghan and she looked at me and started smiling too. "What?" I asked again more annoyed.

"Did you and Joey....." Oh no. I covered up the bruise on my neck. I nodded embarrassed.

"Don't be embarrassed its ok." Kalel reassured me. We all talked about embarrassing things of our past. Meghan came back from the kitchen with her 4th glass of wine. Kalel and I haven't even finished our first. She stumbled out of the room muttering something about pee.

JOEYS POV

Meghan drunkly stumbled out of her room over to me.

"Where's the bathroom?" She slurred falling on the couch next to me.

"Meghan I know you're hurting but I don't think you should get drunk."

She started to cry. "P-please don't cry. I know it hurts but it's alright. He's a jerk."

"Thanks for being so nice to me Jimmy."

"No, no I'm JOEY not Jimmy he-" she cut me off with a sloppy drunken kiss.

I pulled away.

"Meghan what the hell?!" I moved away from her.

"I love you Jimmy." Meghan slurred before getting up and walking to the bathroom.
