Chapter 22

*Lilia's P.O.V*

It was now Saturday and I wouldn't be seeing Callum all weekend, as he'd gone to visit family in Wales. We wouldn't even be able to talk online as he got barely any signal where he was staying. I felt terrible for saying it, but it would be nice to have a Callum-free weekend. Although, I could never be totally free from him. I still had his voice in the back of my mind, reminding me of what he told me before he left;

"Don't eat too much while I'm gone, I don't need to come home to a fat girlfriend. Well, a fatter girlfriend."

It did hurt when he said those things, but I had no choice but to listen to him. Plus, I mean, he was really only helping me, right? Making sure I always look my best and don't put on too much weight so people won't stop liking me. That's how he puts it, anyway.

Anyways, I was woken up on Saturday morning to my phone ringing. I got nervous, thinking it was Callum, but relaxed when I saw it was only Elsie.

"Hey." I answered groggily.

"Hey, sorry, did I wake you?" She asked on the other end of the line.

"Yeah, but it's fine, I should be getting up now anyway. What's up?"

"I just called to let you know I can't come over today."

"What?! Why?!" I cried. Elsie was supposed to be coming over today for a little girls' day and I'd been looking forward to it all week. We haven't been able to spend a lot of quality time together lately and I wanted to change that.

"I'm kind of grounded." She replied sheepishly.

"What did you do?" I groaned.

"I might've stolen my parents' credit card to buy a pair of shoes online..."

"Really, Els?" Despite my annoyance, I couldn't help but chuckle at my wild best friend.

"Yes, they were really cute! Anyway, now I'm not allowed to leave the house and my phone's been taken away from me. My parents are only letting me use it now so I could tell you I can't come over. I'm really sorry, Lils."

"It's alright, it's not like you meant to get our weekend cancelled."

"So, you don't hate me?"

"You're my bestie, Els. How could I possibly hate you?!"

"You're right, I am pretty awesome." She said and I could hear the smirk in her voice which made me laugh.

"Yeah, whatever. Shouldn't you be going now before your parents hunt you down?"

"Yeah, good point. I'll see you on Monday, yeah?"

"Sure, bye, love you."

"Love you." She said before hanging up. I put my phone down and flopped back down onto my pillow, letting out a long sigh. Elsie and I were also supposed to be filming a Truth or Dare video for my channel today but now it looks like I'll have to think of a new video.

After lying in bed and sulking for a good five minutes, I eventually got up and dragged myself into my bathroom. I had a quick shower, using my apple cinnamon shampoo and conditioner on my hair, and my hazelnut bodywash. Once I was done in the shower, I hopped out, wrapped my pink towel around myself after drying my body and went back into my bedroom. I opened my wardrobe and after flicking through my clothes for a few minutes, I finally settled on a simple grey tank top underneath a pink jumper that had a cute little bow on the bottom left, a pair of denim skinny jeans with a cute little kitty embellished on the side of the right leg and my blue and purple Lilo & Stitch socks. I didn't plan on going out today so I didn't bother with shoes. I put my hair in two french braids and picked out my jewelry; a black velvet yin yang choker, a pink wraparound bracelet with a gold buckle and adorable pink cat earrings, before moving onto my makeup. After applying my Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade Stepping Out as the last step of my makeup routine, I picked up my blue phone case which looked like makeup items in a jean pocket and added it to my phone, before deciding I was finally ready.

I went downstairs with my Macbook under my arm and I phone in my other hand and went into the living room, where Zoe, Alfie and Mark all were.

"Morning, Lils." Zoe was the first to greet me, followed by her boyfriend and best friend.

"Hey." I smiled back at everyone, taking a seat on the end of the sofa, next to Alfie.

"What time's Elsie coming over, again?" Zoe questioned.

"She's not." I sighed, "She got grounded, which means I have to think of a new video to film, edit and get up tomorrow."

"That's a shame, but I'm sure you'll think of something. You always do." My sister assured me. I just gave her a small smile before opening my laptop and going to the file where I keep all my video ideas.

Two hours later, the adults had gone out to get lunch but I'd decided to stay home. I still hadn't thought of a video to film and I was still on my laptop, but I'd now moved from the living room to the dining table.

"This is hopeless!" I groaned, dropping my head onto the table as Connor walked in.

"What is?" He asked me, heading over to the fridge, probably looking for something to stuff his face with.

"Not that it concerns you, but I need to think of a new idea for tomorrow's video."

"I thought you were doing something with Elsie?"

"I was, but she's grounded." I sighed, "And none of the ideas I've come up with are good enough."

"What have you come up with?" He wondered, abandoning the fridge and walking over. I was a bit suspicious as to why he was taking such an interest, but I decided to brush it off for now and proceeded to list all the ideas I had for future videos and why I couldn't use them for tomorrow's video.

"What were you going to film with Elsie?" Connor quizzed after I'd shown him all of them.

"We were supposed to play Truth or Dare, but it'd be a bit sad to do it by myself, wouldn't it?" I pointed out with a chuckle.

"Yeah, probably, but you're a saddo anyway, so would it really make a difference?" Connor smirked. I rolled my eyes at him, whacking his arm before turning away so he couldn't see the smile tugging at my lips. Why the hell was a smiling?!

"Why don't I step in for Elsie?" He suggested and I looked at him as though he had five heads.

"Come again?"

"Why don't you film the video with me instead of Elsie?"

"Because we'd probably end up arguing the whole time?" I replied in a 'duh' tone.

"Oh, come on, we don't argue that much anymore." He said and I gave him a pointed look, making him add, "Okay, we do, but we used to be way worse. I mean, I still dislike you-"

"And I still dislike you." I cut in, earning a glare for interrupting him.

"But it solves your video problem."

"Why are you helping me?" I gave him a suspicious look, expecting him to tell me he wanted something.

"Because it's Saturday and I've got nothing better to do." He shrugged.

"So, there's no catch?" I pushed.

"Nope, no catch." He replied. After weighing the pros and cons of filming a video with Connor, I finally agreed to let him fill in for Elsie. Otherwise I might've ended up still trying to think of a video idea tomorrow morning and then I wouldn't be able to get the video up on time. Plus, working with Connor wasn't as bad as I thought last time, so who's to say this time won't be the same?

We both went up to my bedroom and I sent out a tweet asking my viewers to send in truths and dares for Connor and I and I got loads of responses straight away.

"Hello, my lovelies!" I did my usual intro, grinning into the camera, "Today I'm here with Connor Ferris, who you might know as Mark Ferris' brother." I introduced Connor and he awkwardly waved, "Now, I know what you're all thinking, 'Lilia, why are you filming with someone as annoying as Connor, we thought you hated him?' and I do. You see, I was supposed to do this video with my best friend, Elsie but she couldn't be here so I had to settle for him."

"I love how nice you always are to me." Connor said sarcastically. I rolled my eyes.

"See what I mean? Annoying."

"Do you want me in the video or not? Because I can just leave." He snapped.

"Fine, leave then." I snapped back.

"Fine." He got up to leave but I grabbed his wrist.

"Wait, no, I need to film this video, I'm sorry." I rambled and Connor rolled his own eyes before sitting back down, "Look, let's just try and get through this without arguing, okay?" I asked.

"Okay." Connor nodded and I thanked him before we got into the video.

"I asked you guys to send in some questions and dares, which you did, so let's just get right into it." I said, before asking Connor, "Connor, truth or dare?"

"Dare." He replied.

"Okay, I dare you to..." I scrolled through the replies to the tweet until I found one, "Do the cinnamon challenge."

"Really?! That trend is so old!" He whined, obviously just trying to get out of it.

"A dare's a dare, Connor." I smirked. After some more complaining, he finally gave in and so I followed him downstairs and into the kitchen with the camera. He did the cinnamon challenge and I almost peed myself from laughing so much.

"That was horrible." Connor groaned once we were back in my bedroom. I giggled before we moved on.

Half an hour later, we were coming to the end of the video and it was my last go.

"Truth or dare?" Connor asked me.

"I haven't done many dares so I'll go with that." I replied, "But please don't make me do anything horrible."

"No promises." Connor said, scrolling through my phone to find a good one.

"Connor!" I whined, only making him laugh. I rolled my eyes.

"I dare you to..." He kept scrolling until he stopped on one and smirked, "Kiss me."

"What?!" I shrieked, almost choking on my own spit.

"You heard me."

"B-but... I have a boyfriend." I stuttered. What would Callum do if I did this? He'd probably kill me.

"So? It's just a dare, Lilia, it doesn't mean anything. I mean, unless you're scared..." He trailed off teasingly.

"I am not scared." I protested.

"Do it, then." He challenged. I was terrified of what Callum would do, but I didn't want my viewers to think I was a wuss. Callum doesn't even watch my videos anyway so maybe he won't find out...

"Fine." Before I could stop myself, I leaned in and smashed my lips against his. Connor didn't waste any time and kissed back immediately, bringing his hands up to cup my face, his lips soft and warm. I pulled away before we got too into it and we both turned to the camera, blushing.

"Uh, so, I guess that concludes the end of the video. Don't forget to like and subscribe and all that jazz. Until next time, guys, bye!" I ended the video quickly and turned the camera off, an awkward silence falling over us.

"Um... I guess I'll just go now." Connor mumbled, standing up from my bed, a blush still spread across his face.

"Yeah, okay." I nodded awkwardly as he left. As soon as he shut my bedroom door behind him, I bought my hand up and gently touched my lips, unable to think about anything other than Connor's lips on them only seconds ago. I can't believe Connor just kissed me, and I can't believe I actually liked it. I didn't just like it... I felt butterflies and fireworks and my lips felt cold and lonely now that his were gone. I never felt like this when Callum kissed me... What was happening to me?
