I entered and greeted both of them, Jimin and his father, who smiled widely at me before saying "I have heard a lot from you Courtney! From both, your mum and Jimin" he assured, nodding.

I uncounciously adverted my gaze towards Jimin who looked a bit shy, his father seemed to notice too since he laughed before adding "He told me you are friends with Lilli and that you have been really good at catching up with the classes, and I know that's true because I have seen how your grades are going, little spoiler" He adverted his gaze towards my mum before winking and making her chuckle.

"Well to be honest Courtney never mentioned Jimin" my mum spat, quite disappointed making me and Jimin laugh awkwardly.

"Well we haven't talked that much, but we have friends in common" I admitted shrugging, and Jimin nodded immediatly.

"Well then this is a good opportunity for you guys to know each other" My mum patted my back.

"Please sit down, the food will be ready soon" Mr.Park asked nicely, taking off the seat for my mum like a gentlemen. I smiled to myself, It was way too nice to see my mum so happy with a man.

I adverted my gaze towards Jimin, who was staring at me too. He smiled seeing me smile and I smiled back.

Maybe this situation wasn't that bad, Maybe Jimin was not bad, and If he was, Maybe It's not even that important.

A few ladies appeared and placed the food on the table before leaving.

"Wow" I spat unconsciously, making the three of them chuckle.

"But indeed, this looks amazing" My mum nodded smiling widely before beginning to eat as we all did aswell.

"So Courtney, What club did you decide to enter?" Mr. Park asked interested, munching his food.

"I joined the literature club, and It was pretty much the only one I was interested in" I shrugged and he chuckled.

"And Do youregret it? Jimin regret's joining the History club" His dad laughs and I do too.

"I bet It's boring" I advert my gaze towards Jimin and he nods immediatly with eyes widened.

"And The professor gives so much homework like chill It's a club not the subject, we already have homework from the History class" he complains and I cover my mouth containing my laughter. 

"Why did you join?" My mum asks furrowing her eyebrows a bit.

"There was really nothing else, I just picked randomly and the professor looked desperated to find new members" He spat making everyone giggle.

"And Jimin are you going to Lilli's party this weekend?" My mum asked out of curiosity, awkward.

"Uhm..." Jimin looked at me containing his laughter "I don't know If I'm invited" he admited shrugging.

I sipped my glass of coke while my mum adverted her gaze towards me confused, but before she could ask something, Jimin added "Lilli and Kendall fought so It's understandable she desn't invite me and Jungkook either" 

"Is it? You didn't do anything If It's Kendall who fought with Lilli" She frowned before looking at me again "Courtney convince her to invite him" She said making me choke and Jimin cover his mouth not to laugh.

"Uhm?" 

"You heard me, talk to Lilli" 

"I- Uh- Okay sure" I shrugged and she smiled lightly while Mr.Park chuckled.

"Then Jimin will invite you and your friends to his upcoming birthday party right?" He adverted his gaze towards Jimin who said "sure" instantly.

"And how do you get along with Kendall Courtney?" He asked and I looked away, scratching the back of my neck before laughing awkwardly.

He chuckled "Well at least she is Honest," He locked eyes with my mum and they both chuckled "Kendall can be a bit... bossy" He shrugged "But Jimin has been her friend since ages... Like five or six years right?" He adverted his gaze towards his son who just nodded. "But she has been close with Lilli since very little, what happened?" 

I thought for a while, I didn't know the full version myself but I knew it had something to do with Kendall splashing her drink at me and acting jelly to Lilli.

"I don't know to be exact" I admitted but Jimin smirked, probably notcing I was lying, though at the same time I wasn't...

"Kendall was basically quite jealous of Courtney and she acted quite rude to Lilli too because of that" Surprisingly, he told the truth.

"Ah- Well That's a pity and a quite dumb reason to fight, they are probably going to make up in a pair of months" My mum said earning a nod from Mr.Park.

"So there's only around one month till the year ends, are you nervous to enter your last year of high school? Have you liked it so far?" He asked.

"Nervous no, maybe excited because I did like it, and I made some good friends. It would be nice being on the last year with them... If we stay" My gaze falls down in disappointed, the thought of moving again made me sad, angry, just annoyed in general.

"If we stay?" Both Jimin and his Dad repeated confused.

"Courtney and me move a lot because I tend to have some economic difficulties" My mum admitted sadly and Mr.Park nodded slowly, his gaze fixed on his hand on the table.

I looked at Jimin who was staring at me, he gave me a signal with his head, telling me to go with him to the stairs. I stood up and he did too, my mum and Mr.Park noticed but seemed not to care.

I followed Jimin around the second floor until we entered a room who seemed to be his bedroom.

"I just thought we would leave them alone a bit" He shrugged smiling and I smiled back before nodding.

Jimin kneeled on the floor, looking inside a box before taking out Mario Kart. 

"Do you know how to play?" He asked containing his chuckle as I did too.

"Of course" I assured, sitting on the floor next to him as he connected it.

An hour went by, and by every minute that passed, I noticed Jimin was not bad or mean, yet that just gave me the intrigue of knowing why he is at school.

"It's nice seeing him with someone again" He sighed, putting down the game control.

I did too and watched him land his back on the edge of the bed. 

"Yeah, They looked so happy" I giggled and Jimin smiled, before looking down.

"My dad has never tried to date anyone again since my mum died, 10 years ago" He admitted "And he was always miserable about it, and I'm sure he still misses her, I do too of course, but I'm really happy he can move on and find happiness again" He nodded and I smiled widely at him, making him chuckle.

"I never met my dad" I spat, making Jimin lock eyes with me, surprised. "He left when he found out My mum was pregnant, and she never has been with someone else, so I'm incredibly happy about this too. Also, It kind of annoys me that bastard depresses her so much, he ain't worth it" I shrugged and he nodded.

We locked eyes and smiled at each other. I don't know from where did all that confidence and story time came from, but we were both sure we didn't dislike it.

"Courtney! Let's go you guys have classes tomorrow!" My mum called from the first floor.

We stood up and made our way to the entrance. Mr.Park greeted my mum with a peck and me with a pat, and Jimin waved smiling as I smiled back.

The dinner with the Parks wasn't that bad afterall...
